The truth is that after Charlie's allegations, the main director role was switched to BanTech (which was a mistake, not saying that BanTech was always bad, he created most of the game that you see today. He is responsible on 90% of this game's downfall, the rest are other devs and BR was the final nail in the coffin). After that, the devs tried to cover up any evidnece of Charlie existing. The game after that started getting riddled with bugs. 1.10 released, with more bugs. The developer priority was basically non existent. A update adding a train took 8 months to upgrade 2 stations, extend platforms for 2 more stations, add training maps and changing the moderation system, not fixing the major bugs TOOK LIKE 7 MONTHS. Good that the new devs comed in and they actually care about the game.
Honestly, im still fan of SCR and will never leave it, given how it was very popular when i started playing it (V1.4.5) but now, like u said, BR dragged SCR player to their game. Anyways i still cheer SCR and hoping that 2.0 will come out very soon.
Im going to make a new Roblox train game to compete with SCR in the future and it might even be over 2x the map size of SCR, but I'm not experienced at making models in Roblox Studio and the trains might start of very bad looking but hopfully one day it might get mesh models close in detail to SCR and BR's models, although at first the models might be extremely locky and not very good.
British Railways is actually good enough for adults like myself to play. SCR was a breakthrough and now BR is carrying the torch. Its far better than SCR and without the aggrevation of 12 yr old dispatchers telling you that you are late when they have no idea its because you were one of the few that adhered to the speed restrictions they put up..Plus SCR had way too many bugs..
SCR did have a lot of bugs one time yes. (I did not have it a lot but others had it a lot). SCR timetables are just horrible. The realism of SCR is not that good also. But the real reason why l Don’t play it anymore is the fact how fast and unrealistic trains brake/accelerate!! Also the trains are not that long. Nowadays I play steam and steel and BR. They are way better!! Edit: If SCR 2.0 will come I will definitely play it again for a little bit

I think that BR is a necessary evil if SCR wants to catch up to modern roblox standards when it comes to games. Competition sparks innovation, after all.
SCR & British Railway are still the best train games on the platforms lol. And this is coming from a New Yorker, those 2 games actually put effort and are realistic as hell. As long as they stay that way they'll always be fine
The onliest thing that SCR has, but BR and GCR don't have - random events. But BR and GCR have NORMAL accelerating systems. I was waiting for a normal acceleration system (with throttle W-S and brakes A-D), but they make it "better". Having theese AMAZING bloxy rails and overhead electrification which can just say "goodbye" in SCR is basics. GCR have the best map (for my option), thanksfully to Chudleigh line over the hills and they have freight trains. And TRTS (yes, hi to everyone who got stuck before Gyles), a bit bad TRTS is better than no TRTS. BR - score and passenger system. SCR - the onliest good thing is a big map (but the best map is still by GCR). I think that GCR will have a good future, BR maybe too (I want to see there freight). SCR... Though 2.0 will definitely make me play SCR a lot more than I'm currently am. Another thing to note is that SCR has not had a major update since BR's early access days, and look how far BR has come. If 2.0 is a fumble, it might truly be the end of SCR
BR just feels better in every aspect... it is realistic, it has better trains, it has better coin distribution system and its moderate to earn coins rather than those points in SCR... also I love how they update the game, the recent one was very good and they are working on other lines and trains as well... i was a fan of SCR and tried to even train myself... But that shit was too unrealistic... why tf anyone will judge my Roblox style of driving trains and grade me lol.. also just one small mistake and you are out... I was fed up... I will never lookup to SCR... BR feels home..
i quit that game cus the trains are to small it started whit the networker and spread like hell it also doesnt help that the game still has those blocky tracks like if you look clolsy you can see the wheels don't even fit probably on the tracks them adding class 156 also didn't help cus 1 why on connect 2 why the 156 instead of a 150 I mean scr used to be so good but ever sinds the train's became small I begin to move away more and more...
