I found this beautiful song on BBC radio 2 while driving late at night not long after my wife died and I`ll never forget the emotion I felt. I`m glad the motorway was fairly quiet as the tears were blinding me.
I know just what you were and are feeling ,we are all brothers and sisters in grieving for our lost loved ones ,we can only keep them alive in our hearts and minds until its our turn to go and hold them in our arms again .
I heard this too on radio 2 today and thought what a beautiful song but know exactly how feel my friend. I lost my wife 9 years ago and still miss her everyday ❤ . The words of this song are so true but peaceful too. Take care friend X
This was a regular on BBC 2's playlist when Terry Wogan did the morning show. I can remember where I was when I first heard it. Entering Jct 29 on the M62, going eastbound to join the south bound M1. I was on my way to work in Wakefield and it was after one of the Chlldren in Need "What Money Can't Buy" auctions. I'll never forget Terry's whistful arrrgh as it ended, pure magic! Loved it then and love it now. I believe it's the music that ends the film Calender Girls.
I too remember the first time I heard this. I was driving down the motorway and could not stop sobbing. It reminded me of how I felt when I lost my Dad❤
Voice of an angel and a song that speaks to the soul, one of the most beautiful works I have ever heard. Thank you for the video that captures such beautiful moments.
This was my dads favourite song so we played it at his funeral. It gives me comfort when I hear it thinking he is still here.
Discovered this lady today on UK station Boom Radio. What a beautiful voice and brilliant songwriter.
Played at my wifes funeral on Wednesday. Wonderful ❤
