This is my favorite plant! I have a huge, almost 4 feet tall and wide, Soft Caress Mahonia enhancing my outside corner sunroom. It gets morning dapple sun, a little direct sun as the sun passes over my sidewalk then no sun the rest of the day. I have found that my others that are in more shade or more sun don’t do as well. Dappled morning sun seems to be the sweet spot here on the coastal south, MS.

It looks delicate, but it can take a beating! I have several that take the dogs running through them, peeing on them and everything else. :)
