Rory stood out from the crowd for never never ever selling out in any shape or form. He was just himself, a LEGEND!
I said it many times before and I am going to say it again, it just doesn't get any better than Rory Gallagher.
Million miles away » from 74 irish tour, tears me up
Every Time, remembering me, touch times at the bar, so often, my mind million miles away and then reappears and all is dead around… Well it touched me lol sorry
The greatest blues guitarist able to play guitar hero in rock blues but ALSO with unplugged guitar playing traditionnal Blue grass. The bluesman with the widest range of styles ever. No one except him could do that.
From Australia, great reaction to the great Rory Gallagher , Peace from down under
Great reaction
I was lucky enough to see him live in the early 1970's
Very underrated artist
Love Rory. Raw energy mixed with amazing talent. Always a great watch.
Omg, you have discovered the man we spent our youth listening to, one of the best guitarist/songwriters ever, you need to see more. So special
Also played a lot of other instruments, and his acoustic guitar was also superb.
flanel shirt - blue jeans - denim jacket - down to earth long hair - act stage - tunes output his old Fender guitar _ have vibe & high energy .... never boring when we watch & hear his show . .. he's Rory !!! ✌️🌹, ☕☕ 😎😊
Love to see first time reactions to Rory and see the smiles..
I seen Rory live many times. He was an awesome performer and amazing guitarist. Really nice guy as well.
Thank you for taking a listen to Rory! He was a spectacular multi-instrumental musician, playing both electric and acoustic guitar, mandolin, harmonica and saxophone. Beloved by those who appreciate expert guitarists; relatively unknown to the mainstream public, Rory never sought fame. He lived and breathed music and performing for an audience was both his job and his passion. This was Rory at his most frenetic, a fireball on the stage, but he was just as at home sitting quietly with just an acoustic guitar. Check out "Rag Mama Rag" from the 1976 Rockpalast performance to see the magic he could weave on his acoustic. Offstage, Rory was a very soft-spoken gentleman, well known for being both shy and polite when not on stage. Please take a look a few more of Rory's performances.
Shadow Play is a Brilliant track by RG
The irish are high energy, very passionate.
Fantastic blues guitarist who died way too young. Put out many albums and almost every song was a winner.
You are absolutely right I was a friend of Rory he never hurt nobody and many bands of today love Rory nobody says anything bad about him
Rory is a Legend!
One of my fav live videos on all of youtube . Just makes me happy .
The most underrated guitarist saw him at least 10 times back in the 60s and 70s never a bad concert and you could talk to him after the concert helped me with my playing not to his standard
Exactly. He did things his own way. Biz didn’t like him or value him for it. Unless they gave you the wink, Rory never took the wink.
Rory inspires me everyday to pick up my guitar he was an absolute master that doesn't get the credit he deserves cause he wasn't bothered about being a chart topper RIP Rory
You should check out his live version of Souped Up Ford. Epic Rory Gallagher
Managed to see Rory ten times live. You might like his first band Taste. Check out Taste at the 1970 Isle Of Wight festival.
Oooh Rory, what a finde choice...❤ Gallagher, the definitive White Blues King
A truly gifted musician and one of the humblest and hardworking men ever to pick up a guitar. Saw him 4 times and he and the band never played for less than two and a half hours. . .you really got your moneys worth. I'm with all of you who suggest Shadow Play for one of Andrei and Dominikas fabulous reactions!
As an aside, I only recently learned that Rory Gallagher was invited to join the Rolling Stones but turned it down as he preferred to stay true to his own musical ethics.
Love Rory Gallagher, he was such a great guitar player, a great performer and this is one of my favourite songs, this is one high energy performance! Other favourite live songs are Bad Penny and Tattoo'd Lady, I'm sure you would love these songs! Thanks so much for a great reaction. 😊👍
He was genius.
And he kept to be the "normal" guy.
Rory goes to college is truly amazing every fan must watch this genius
A great reaction to an absolute legend.
The UK took our forgotten Blues and gave it back to us with a new flair 👍🇺🇸
Rory did it because he loved it, he was never £ properly the mainstream hated him as he was a lone wolf.
Rory total huge talent. Lovely guy too. Independent individual.
Can't believe u guys talk about my hero love u both
He's Ireland's answer to Chuck Berry!
Great reaction!!!
I saw Rory several times in the 70s. He loved playing so much he would do encore after encore until the venue pulled the plug. There are requests for "Shadow Play" which is a must see. 1979 video by NEA ZIXNH. (I'm not putting a direct link as my posts with links seem to get deleted.)
Rory, another legend sadly gone to early, alone the look of his strat says it all, thats not a fashion styled instrument, that guitar earned it look by pure passion.
If you want to do yourself a favour checkt out Tommy Emmanuel another Guitar legend
RORY sooooo underrated, gr8 guitarist 🎸 RIP😊
Fantastic performance, the whole show. The sad part is Rory is no longer with us and more recently the drummer, Ted McKenna, passed away.
(PLEASE) PLAY (RORY GALLAGHER) "SHADOW PLAY" (THANK YOU)
1979 live video! Amazeballs.
this is at a JAZZ festival bare in mind!!!
Jimi Hendrix was being interviewed and was asked what is it like to be the greatest guitarist in the world Jimi answered I dont know ask Rory Gallagher.
More Rory please LOTS OF STUFF for you to see. ‘Tatood Lady’ Irish Tour, too much to list!
A proper rock n roller
Rory Gallagher is considered the best guitarist. Jimi Hendrix was asked what it was like to be the best guitarist he said to ask Rory,
Gallagher is an Irish name and so the G is silent. Thus it sounds Gallaher
He didn't have a guitar he would have a pogo stick and still p l a y i n g the guitar
