Really interesting videos. Another common one is the Westinghouse. Would you consider trying that one? And have you ever tested/used any with a silicon mat, or with an induction plate to use with non-compatible cookware?
Oh awesome info, thanks for that. Will definitely have to give the Westinghouse a go. Haven't tried either of those, but interesting idea Tania! Have thought about using a steel plate just for general testing. Thank you for the input :)
This seems to be discontinued and I can't seem to buy one anywhere! Out of all the other brands of induction cookers, which is the next best if you had to choose?
Hey damn! If you don't mind a bit of capacitor squeal, the IKEA one did okay (ua-cam.com/video/7JB36y8ziVI/v-deo.html) but I have sensitive hearing so it drives me mental haha. Else the Anko/Kmart one I still have and use a bit. Just noisy if nothing else.
hi mate I dissagree with heat dispersion you mentioned, I have a stainless steel scanpan and ya constantly moving it around, if u leave it one spot, by the time the sides heat up, you end up with burnt food... Here a challenge for you: Try making pancakes on an induction hob and use a stainless steel pan... if u can make them to where they aint burnt. I tried a few times and ya, no issues on a standard electric... but when its induction, couldnt get it right.
Hey yeah no two induction cookers are the same - hence I test their heat dispersion. This one is better than the rest, but you still need a decent thickness base on your pan. It's a huge shame that NE have stopped making this though! Kmart 32cm Stainless Steel is the way to go - thing has a 9mm or so base and spreads heat well
@@platima I challenge you to make a vid making Crêpes on stainless steel pan using a induction hob without burning either side I have not found a single vid where thats actually turned out... u think u could do it?
@@platima 28cm for me is plenty big enuf for stainless steel pan. I find havin a lid is a MUST. and mines around that thickness too, and still moving it round all the time.
@@platima LMAO they easy man... if u got a blender... thats gonna be ya best friend then go in with a fully heated stainless steel pan on a normal burner its easy peasy... Just do the water test to make sure its fully up to temp and off u go. On a Hob ya nah for me
@@denskiz1 yeah unfortunately it really is. The worst is the Ikea one haha. The Anko/Kmart one isn't bad though! (There's a video on that too). The Tefal was average from memory, just noisy. Actually the Ikea one wasn't bad, just had a high pitch squeal
Oh yeah man I had to try for literal months to get the Ikea one! You've got no idea how frustrating. Even drove 3 hours to go to Ikea and in that time they sold out. Nearly rage quit the store haha.

How does this compare to the IKEA model?
TBD :P
8 months later and you still can't buy this on amazon. So annoying. I really want this one!
I know -_- so many people want them now!
@@platima Is this still the best induction stove you've used?
