Just started playing Mage Knight - I love watching these playthroughs! Your enthusiasm is contagious. Quick comment/question on the ice golem attack near the end. At 51:00, seems to me that the ranged fire attack of 5 with the fireball was sufficient to kill, without needing to add black mana and taking the wound (for firestorm). Do you have to use black mana to cast spells at night?
Awesome hope you are having fun! No you don't have to use the black mana at night! Maybe bairnt was looking to do an overkill here!!
Mage towers are fortified. He had to use the siege attack, or block the enemy's attack first.

Also I usually put the influence token under the number rather than covering it up. Quick tip.

never play before but it seems to me that 3 of the 6 day tactic cards will never be picked if you solo 1,3,6 you will never pick
I noticed it as well Justin. Those are the ones you hope the “dummy” player picks. It would be interesting if there was an upgrade solo set of cards that would all be usable at some stage. Thanks Justin for the great comment and thanks for watching 😃😃👍
#1 makes sense if Planning is no longer available and none of the other tactics help you out. #3 works when you know there are two mana dice you can use right away to accomplish something. #6 is about being able to time your last turn so you can go for one more thing before the round ends.

Anyone still here who can help me with a question
I got the ultimate edition. Problem is i dont know which tiles are only for the base game so that i can play n shuffle only them in solo conquest and other scenarios for base game only
I’d check on boardgamegeek or Facebook or another site like that. UA-cam isn’t the best place for nuanced component and rule questions!
