I've always wanted a racing game that was also a grindy RPG. One thing you can do on PC was well with this is just turn off your controller, close the notification that pops up saying "A controller has been disconnected" and go back to the race. Saves on wasting batteries.
ANTI AFK Kick is the Open Telemetry. Open it and switch to the right on D-Pad. After that dont touch the Game and it will run for hours without disconnects
If you get 3 of the same car and keep doing this it will be the way where you can do different types of builds for each. And once you done that with all the cars the headache will be over........and after calculating it up folks that will take approximately 53days39hrs17.1.5seconds for the average 9-5 worker who only has a few hours of playtime after a hard days work.
So I personally go for the nordschleife, As Le Mans old is about 4-5 minutes a lap and gives about 1.25 lvl (with vip) And the ring takes about 8-9 minutes a lap and gives 3.5 lvl (with vip) But Le Mans could be potentially faster in leveling if your car has enough handling, The 8.1 segment score gives you another 25 car exp and the higher the grade the more EXP you get, On the ring the AI doesn't really get 8's, its around 7's and those don't give bonus exp Also setting the Game Type to Test Drive is better, because the segment parts give you extra car exp too!
perfect video! thanks for the advice. LOL, I must be getting old... Why can't these devs stop treating us like kids and give us a game with everything unlocked... and I mean everything, all cars, part, liveries, tracks, and whatever else the game has to offer. I would rather pay more for the game up front and have everything unlocked then have to waste time grinding credits to buy & unlock stuff. Seriously what a mindless waste of time... and who really wants to drive an non-upgraded car on a race track? It's a racing game... we want cars that are tuned to the max and fast like a real race car. We don't need to be hand held through every new game they develop on how to tune and race cars. They can have a mode for that, but seasoned players just want to racing fast cars. The leveling up to buy parts is joke.

I actually have found it to be very much more effective to level up not only your car but your overall in game level by driving it yourself. I actually use freeplay with ai drivers and just set the level to 3 or 4. It not only allows me upgrade my car faster for the actual events, but it gives me the right and better knowledge of how each car I have to use with zero to all the upgrades it goes through, and how it handles and what to tune to make it drive better every step of the day. On top of that, if you set your avatars to at least 15, set yourself starting line to last, and every car you over take is extra XP. By setting up as last in line, you also give yourself a boost of Credits when you finish first because of the bonus it gives. Since the avatar difficulty is set pretty low, it shouldn't be a huge challenge to get to 1st. As you progress your driving skill and cars potential, increasing difficulty to avatars is my goal, for the extra XP and Credits.
Car: Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R (Stock) Track: Le Mans Old Mulsanne Circuit It took 41 laps to reach Level 50 AKH script was used for the pop-up message, which is very simple to do
Got an idea: will you gain more car xp by having a full grid of AI (maybe set to the slowest settings) and starting last since you gain car xp for passing?
I tried this, the AI will park itself at the tail end of the line and won't even attempt to pass, just trundle around right on the ass of the car in front.
Your tips are always useful, thank you! One question : i get notification that if i still playing or not every 8-10 minutes and game paused, how do i turn this off on xbox series x?

The first corner on Barcelona international alt course is bugged and always gives you a 10. You can pass the checkpoint then hit skip lap to skip the middle portion of the lap. You can get a lap in every 30-50 seconds depending on the car. It just requires you to pay attention to make sure and skip lap.
it took my stock Supra 03:40 to make a full level just touring around the circuit full automatic, not using this method. Then it took 04:20 (no jokes) to make a full lvl using your method. You can go much faster if you drive yourself and of course the faster the car the quicker the results but if the whole purpose is to leave it afk overnight, the OP long race method is just better in my numbers

I predicted this issue when I first heard about the CARPG system, I did this on Forza Horizon 5 when it released, in hindsight its probably why I didn't play that game near as much as any other Forza. I don't like the idea that the most efficient way to level up cars is to not play the game. I'm still excited, gonna no life this game when I get off work, but I think the CARPG system should have been thought out a little more, and it's going to hurt late game content.
Just for reference you’ll have to actually use the controller. If you have a steering wheel and pedal setup (I have the Logitech setup) it will not work. So make sure you disconnect the wheel controller.
Even with a wired controller with telemetry opened, my controller still disconnect after i have the « still there » message, any advice or maybe im doing this wrong?
Found a eaiser way same thing Sept when you go into tune menu go test car then you can upgrade has you go 1 lap 1 level even then about a HR and half you will end up with level 50 + 9k worth of points for getting manufacturer level so yea well worth it or do privet lobby with friend you get over take bonus
For anyone on xbox you can figure put a way to keep a trigger down at all times you wont get the message every 15 minutes, i use an old controller and tape the trigger down
Funny when you mention having the AI drive for you. I remember one of the earlier Forza motorsport games where you had an option to pay the AI to drive for you. It was many years ago so I can't remember which one it was. But my friend and I would have fun messing with the AI. You'd set the brakes to be 100% on the rear at 200% pressure, they'd hit the brakes and start spinning! Or you'd reduce the pressure to zero, and they'd slam right into the wall! You probably could so something like that here.
Nice to use if you just want to level up quickly. I've always driven with no upgrades first and then add what I feel would help me drive "that" car better. Practice laps are good for that and completely optional. I really do like the rpg style of leveling and upgrading cars. Sad to see so many complaints. Hopefully they wont just go back to the same/safe/boring way it has always been.
I totally understand your point of view. But the problem we have with this is that if this is a sim style game, why add rpg elements to it? Sim is supposed to be similar to real life. In real life, if you have the cash to buy those upgrades, then by golly I will buy those upgrades and the manufacturer can't tell me "you haven't earned those parts yet"! If you are a normal person wanting to upgrade your car with any type of part you want, then you will. If you drive for a racing team, they will give you or help you get the parts you need for the class you are racing in. So the whole rpg element sucks in this game! I want to build my cars with the parts I want with the cash I just won and not have to wait and "earn those parts"!
I agree that it’s more fun but it’s definitely more of a time sink then before. I with it was done by the player’s level and not the car level because it can get pretty repetitive
This new system encourages me not to even play the game. As everytime i want to build a car for a certain class i now have to level it up and jot only that but i also have to have enough points to install the parts. For exp: i wanted to build a challenger for S class but i cant unless i level it up. So lets say i spent the hours leveling up only to find out I can’t make it competitive in that class. Now i just wasted my time. Then i have to buy another car and start all over. This system is so beyond stupid. Lately i just use my level 50 eclipse for as many classes as possible. Since i simply dont have the time to level up what i want to use.
I think the car level up system is good for new players but for us that have been playing the series since the start it’s so damn tedious and long winded
I’ve found it’s much faster to do this going around the eagle rock speedway - I level up about every 5 laps as the course is 2 segments, but it only takes about 30seconds to do a lap, making it much faster than at Le Mans.
my question is do we really have to do this to every car even if i buy the same car that i already got level 50 with? i got the Srt4 for C class maxed out to level 50 but i wanted to make a drag build but i noticed that the srt i bought is level one lol
might as well download another game next to this one like Bloons Tower Defence 6 or something so you actually have something to do while waiting for your car to upgrade
I just knew there was going to be some level of cheese with FM8, and here it is. Makes it easier for many of us. Sure, i don't mind earning the parts, but it wasn't really done in a proper way. But hey, this'll be the next best thing, until it gets changed. Which might be, honestly at some point.
Does free play award decent crefits? In FM7, I used to set up 50 lap races of this track regularly, to grind credits(I actually drove though, no autopilot).
It depends on your setup. If you have less than 11 drivatars on track with you, you won't get any of your bonus difficulty credits. The rest of your bonus credits (race rules and regulations, etc.) remain unaffected by the number of drivatars on track with you.
@@chrisstavrojohn6774 Thanks. This game has a weird quirk. Did 2 free play races in the same car, but in different classes. Resulted in the slower car making more money. Time factors into payout.

@@XAV-117 The leveling system can definetly work for sure, but this is a terrible way to do it. And i think GT7 has a good system, its just a little to hard to get money on the game. Which has also been a problem with Forza because you make money so easily honestly, especailly on the horizon games. They just need to tweak the current system and the upgrading will be much better and more satisfying overall
What's funny is that there's very little Turn 10 can do to "fix" this. They can't get rid of the assists because it would exclude children and disabled gamers, two markets they want to appeal to, so the only thing they can do is shrink to "Are You Still Playing?" popup timer from 15 minutes to say 10 minutes lmao
Then, I'd change my AHK script to match the pop-up message 🫡
can avoid that by pressing down on the D pad
You level up at each sector im pretty sure so I think the best track would be the one with the most sectors in the least time
I use to do this so much since Forza 1 🤣 it just works ! Especially when studying for certs.
Hey so it looks like the ovals are a good choice!!! I’m using the oval layout at homestead Miami in a lightly modified 2018 mustang GT I’m able to level up every 3:55s doing 39.6s lap times… this would be REALLY fast in some of the hypercars or anything else with a higher top speed!
I’m gonna test out Indy next and see what works
Find anything better? Or the best yet?
Im using Lime Rock, as its got the most corners in the shortest amount of time. @@xxKURTMANxx
The track he has u do takes about 3:39 in a car that can go 190
It would be better if it was a manufacturer level insted of individual cars.
Yeah that would be nice.
Make sure you unplug your steering wheel if you have one - it will interfere with the assisted steering.
thanks😊
You can now upgrade new car and fit all parts you want. Then go Start, select Get more carpoints, click buy and use ingame cash to buy carpoints. Any engine etc.
if you use a rubber band that only holds the trigger at about half. the controller vibrations will modulate the trigger and you wont have to deal with the 15 minute thing.
After that dont touch the Game and it will run for hours without disconnects
after trying this. i found my game on just on the esc menu after a few laps..
@@Nikolas4g63same
Same
If you get 3 of the same car and keep doing this it will be the way where you can do different types of builds for each. And once you done that with all the cars the headache will be over........and after calculating it up folks that will take approximately 53days39hrs17.1.5seconds for the average 9-5 worker who only has a few hours of playtime after a hard days work.
So I personally go for the nordschleife,
As Le Mans old is about 4-5 minutes a lap and gives about 1.25 lvl (with vip)
And the ring takes about 8-9 minutes a lap and gives 3.5 lvl (with vip)
But Le Mans could be potentially faster in leveling if your car has enough handling,
The 8.1 segment score gives you another 25 car exp and the higher the grade the more EXP you get,
On the ring the AI doesn't really get 8's, its around 7's and those don't give bonus exp
Also setting the Game Type to Test Drive is better, because the segment parts give you extra car exp too!
Ty Nick hopefully they iron out the progression, though
Thanks Nick, will give it a go, when I can. 👍
perfect video! thanks for the advice.
69 missed calls from Harvard
😂
tyvm for the guide and going above and beyond to tell us the extra deatils
lolol going to play it but gotta work tmm so i amma do this at the same time lmfaoo
Before this I was sure I woumd not play this game cos the upgrade system but after this video I will buy it
I actually have found it to be very much more effective to level up not only your car but your overall in game level by driving it yourself.
Car: Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R (Stock)
Track: Le Mans Old Mulsanne Circuit
It took 41 laps to reach Level 50
AKH script was used for the pop-up message, which is very simple to do
You can just go back and forth on the straightaway. then when your done take the turn. And your get your point as well. Thanks for the video
The fact they added a are you still playing? Says it allll 😂
To have a lil more fun, i drove it, took me less then it driving itsself, and was more fun too 😁
Got an idea: will you gain more car xp by having a full grid of AI (maybe set to the slowest settings) and starting last since you gain car xp for passing?
The ai barley passes cars when its driving
I tried this, the AI will park itself at the tail end of the line and won't even attempt to pass, just trundle around right on the ass of the car in front.
Your tips are always useful, thank you!
One question : i get notification that if i still playing or not every 8-10 minutes and game paused, how do i turn this off on xbox series x?
love how nick made a video about upgrading yet picking the least upgradable car
Thx 4 posting this. I just got/downloaded this game 🏎 a few days ago.
You could do the same in FM7 pretty much until they patched it so it would time you out for lack of input changes
Motorsport 7 didnt have this bullshit level system tho 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why in the world would anyone do this in fm7.
Everything was unlocked from the get go.
Ive just put 400 laps on indy oval for a laugh and shuved cardboard into my accelerator trigger and guna see if that works while im off to bed will laugh if i get the you still playing menu when i get up in the morning 😂😂
The first corner on Barcelona international alt course is bugged and always gives you a 10. You can pass the checkpoint then hit skip lap to skip the middle portion of the lap. You can get a lap in every 30-50 seconds depending on the car. It just requires you to pay attention to make sure and skip lap.
how do you skip laps tho? also i tested this full automatic and takes exactly 4 mins to level up on a stock McLaren 620
@@gonzavera if you do the laps in rivals you get an option to skip lap when you pause.
it took my stock Supra 03:40 to make a full level just touring around the circuit full automatic, not using this method. Then it took 04:20 (no jokes) to make a full lvl using your method. You can go much faster if you drive yourself and of course the faster the car the quicker the results but if the whole purpose is to leave it afk overnight, the OP long race method is just better in my numbers
Then again you can make money using Rivals too, so there's that
Love your cat man. he reminds me of mine , he died not long ago but he’s a splitting image of yours used to sit on my desk in front of me make me crash on forza 😂was nice seeing that
I have a question about the controller
Can't you use a rubber band on the joystick what's for looking around?
This is goated love the vid as new forza player this lit AF
Best video out on this game right now🤝🏼
I predicted this issue when I first heard about the CARPG system, I did this on Forza Horizon 5 when it released, in hindsight its probably why I didn't play that game near as much as any other Forza.
Me too..
Not wired, but same
Found a eaiser way same thing Sept when you go into tune menu go test car then you can upgrade has you go 1 lap 1 level even then about a HR and half you will end up with level 50 + 9k worth of points for getting manufacturer level so yea well worth it or do privet lobby with friend you get over take bonus
Wouldn't adding drivatars make you level faster from passing them? Just trying to streamline this as fast as possible
Think fm1 or 2
If you don’t want it to time out every 15 you can press down on dpad , then scroll one over and it won’t time out if you don’t touch at all
So bringing up the telemetry keeps it from timing out?
Did it work?@@Bamabrute85
@@Bamabrute85yea I scroll one over also for safe measure lol, some reason doesn’t time out
@@Bamabrute85but if you’re impatient and back out to check lap etc it will time out
Also have to press a button at all times so it doesn’t time out
Nice to use if you just want to level up quickly.
I tried it. Pro Tip: Make sure driving line is on full.
Such a shame that this needs to be done. We wanted fun progression, but this upgrade system just makes everyone do this grindy and unfun method
Thanks a lot nick, this is gonna help me out so much!

If you guys don’t want to come back to your controller every 15 minutes just press down on d-pad and go to friction
it's true... that's how it works!
Dude I love u !!!!!! I’m doing it now before they patch it !!!
Use this while you can, as in the past these automated methods have been patched by the next update or the next major update.
I think the car level up system is good for new players but for us that have been playing the series since the start it’s so damn tedious and long winded
This still working?
@@AugustoV8CesarI have no idea
I’ve found it’s much faster to do this going around the eagle rock speedway - I level up about every 5 laps as the course is 2 segments, but it only takes about 30seconds to do a lap, making it much faster than at Le Mans.
How is that much faster? 5 x 30 second lap = 2.5 minutes. 2.5 minutes per level is roughly the same as the video lol?
@akiraperera9574 is not true. Most of the car in the game do 4:00 minutes per lap in Le Mans. But 2:50 is actually not bad.
It’s a future of gaming. Games playing themselves
Are there any preferred tune settings when doing this?
my question is do we really have to do this to every car even if i buy the same car that i already got level 50 with? i got the Srt4 for C class maxed out to level 50 but i wanted to make a drag build but i noticed that the srt i bought is level one lol
Is there a way to keep the game running on background while using other apps on pc cause I every time I alt tab game is pausing
Is this also the fastest way to get money as well? And how do you get more cp to upgrade what’s up with that too?
So how long do you think before this is nerfed just liked they nerfed autodrive in Forza Horizon 5
Thanks nick🙏🏻
I would love to level up but I cant even play the game! Every time I complete the practice laps, it freezes on the load screen.
might as well download another game next to this one like Bloons Tower Defence 6 or something so you actually have something to do while waiting for your car to upgrade
I just knew there was going to be some level of cheese with FM8, and here it is. Makes it easier for many of us. Sure, i don't mind earning the parts, but it wasn't really done in a proper way. But hey, this'll be the next best thing, until it gets changed. Which might be, honestly at some point.
I've been playing and buying VIP and collectors cases since the very beginning. I feel like I've earned the stuff already 😅
@@platinumpengwinmusic5564 Interesting. Didn't realize time on track has that much of an effect, I thought it was mainly finishing sectors and overtakes that netted the most XP. Good catch
I set up a macro to continuously press tab to change the camera view so I can visually see my macro is working while not affecting the driving.
Yooo been a week since I bought this game but this upgrade think is smth else
They down graded my subie 22b bro ! The max tire width profile is 265 now ! Wth ! It use to be 275 ,even upgrading the body parts like bumpers sideskirts and spoiler was limited to my damn 22b sti ! What a let down !
To circumvent the "are you still there" thingy on PC. Just open the telemetry screen and set it to friction. notification will never pop up and you can go to bed while idling
I think those cunts just patched this. It pops up even when you have telemetry on friction.
Didn’t people get banned for doing the self driving trick in forza horizon for farming so and cash or was that just rumors.
Nice for setting a car up while you know your busy with another activity.
This guy has free electricity.
For anyone that is on Xbox, you can use a rubber band to pull the right trigger on the controller.
I always do remote play on Xbox can i use my pcs auto clicker to not have to press every 15 min
Thx mate!
I found maple Valley short to be the best. . Quick laps. More segments than the oval and higher paying segments
Beyond disgusting how if you buy the same car twice you have to level them separately
After the 2.0 update of today the telemetry trick is not working anymore?
I'm on xbox
yeah they fixed it, need another workaround!
