It would have been better to adapt Manco Inca times when Incas learnt to ride horses and use arquebuses. The Incas of Vilcabamba, who resisted spanish domination for 40 years, are a part of universal history that should be better known. I hope historical battles mode includes the battle of Ollantaytambo.
All units except Maceman cost wood which will make incas weaker in super late games which often happen in tournaments. Although they have a dance that produces wood but using that for other purpuses like training time and attck is better.
I took a screenshot and did a transparency overlay in 'EZ Paint' and I can confirm that it is indeed the exact same face..they align exactly. Only the clothing & headgear has been changed. Excellent spot.

They wasted some unique and amazing chances with the inca warchief!! For one the Inca are one of very few cultures of wich we know of at least one Female Warchief!! Her recently found burial featured her mummy dressed in the very same attire as this warchief and wielding her trusty bronze halberd in death! Also one of the very last Inca warchiefs leaded his men into their last battle on horseback, wielding a spanish sword and shield and wearing spaniard armour, this was to dispel the fear his people had of the spaniards tech. It would have been awesome to portrait this valiant leader wearing his tribal headdress and clothes while clad in shiny steel!
About the Inca horseman, that was probably Manco Inca, son of Huayna Capac, brother of Atahualpa and Huascar, and yes, he indeed used steel armor and weapons, and even gunpowder weapons to fight against the spanish. The first time the spanish saw him using a horse and spanish equipment was during the battle of Ollantaytambo, and also later during the battle of Orongoy, both battles ended tragically for the spanish. Manco Inca probably used his horse during other battles, but I need to read more about those battles.
Thanks a lot! Excellent short yet informative video. On the surface they look very similar to aztecs but with some fancy mini-forts, shrines which only produce food. I don't think the defensive TPs are any useful, if they're still 250w (aging up to get one is just too late to have viable impact). Looking forward to seeing no one using Incan Mace Warrior due to the high cost and slow speed. (No trainable unit is close to Currassiers. xD) Same for the 300g priestess. EDIT: Apparently priestesses are not trainable units. They may be obtained by HC cards or Community Plaza ceremony.

I hate the mythical elements like the "fire ceremonies" they introduced in this. I can tolerate that sorta thing if its something like giving morale boost to units to fight harder or a speed boost to economic units or something along those lines, but free wood because someone is dancing around a fire is so ridiculous even for AOE standards...

Mbl should have liked this game but then they added monks again
Awesome video again!
Thanks!
the Warchief's portrait face kinda looks similar with the guy from the AoE 2 The Conqueror Expansions cover
What aura bonus does the Incan warchief have? Iroquios had HP boost, Souix had movement speed, Aztec has EXP boost, so Inca have...?
It boosts unit's attack! Thanks for watching:)
sioux standart bonus is speed, using a card you can make it speed and attack bonus
Sioux Chief can one shot multiple artillery at the same time.

SMH they rename the Iroquois the Haudenosaunee but they still call them Inca instead of Tawantinsuyu
