Snowy Tracks Winter Tray Montessori Practical Skill Lesson - Winter Activity

Age 3 1/2 years
Prerequisite : how to carry a tray
Purpose: refining fine motor skills
For this tray:
1. Cover a printed sheet of animal tracks with some baking soda snow.
2. Use A small brush for example an old makeup brush can be used to sweep away the snow and uncover each line of tracks.
Purpose:
This is wonderful sweeping and brushing is excellent fine motor skill practice as well as the perfect opportunity to learn about winter animals and their tracks.
Encourage the child to hold the brush using pencil grip position.
You can also provide winter animal cards for the child to match or memory game activities.
