Strom C. Thacker Inaugurated as Pitzer College’s Seventh President

The inauguration of Pitzer College’s seventh president, Strom C. Thacker, took place on October 20, 2023, on the Stephen L. Glass Commencement Plaza. The ceremony was attended by students, faculty, staff, alums, trustees, college and university delegates, and other guests.
Strom C. Thacker spoke about his Claremont roots and how his formative years in Claremont were critical to his path to becoming Pitzer’s seventh president. He also highlighted his vision of Pitzer as a steadfast model for other higher education institutions.
