No issues at all. I could stand and cast on this kayak easily.

I've been fishin out of a 9' Mainstream Tropic sit on top kayak to me this thing is a big step up in comfort
I know the feeling. I upgraded from a sun dolphin 10'. The difference is night and day between the two kayaks. You will definitely be happy with your purchase.

how much weight do you suppose that hatch door can hold? will it break if you step on it?
DJ Kaiser It wont break if you stand up on it. Its pretty sturdy. When I stand up both of my feet are to the side of it though. But I wouldnt see any problem if you decided to stand on it.
do you think this kayak is too wide for a 5'5 person to paddle?
Connor Schork I dont see why it would be a problem for a 5'5 person at all. You should be good to go.

Nothing but simple pvc pipe, t's, elbows and a cut off wheel my man
