Please may I have some to add to the collection of cards I’ve built up for years! They would love these! I have 3 grandsons and that gives us something to talk about and I teach them about cards! They bring their collection I’ve helped them build. I check it out to make sure they are taking care of & learning different things about cards!
This is what the big manufacturers should have been doing years ago. More importantly they have kept it affordable. The card collecting hobby has quickly become an elitist hobby and the fun has been zapped out of it as it becomes almost prohibitive due to cost.
I smell a case of FOMO. The hobby is what you make it. If you are the hobby is elitist then you are choosing to look at it through a tiny lens. There are plenty of collectors (like myself) who are really enjoying this time in the hobby. I am able to flip and collect. I have been able to get stuff for my PC that I never thought I would find.
I enjoy seeing new innovative products that are affordable. Your guaranteed a hit and the csrds very well could rise in value. Better than spending 500 for a box with ten dollars roi
But people hate on these cards but Idk why. It’s actually doing the hobby a favor at a reasonable price. I have a Jordan and Magic game worn swatch from Jersey Fusion.
As someone who collected football cards several years ago and is just starting to get back into the hobby…it’s sad that a product like this even has to exist. I remember the days when the only “player-worn” materials were for the rookies and everything else was game-used…nowadays you’re lucky to get something that’s “player-worn” at all, as most memorabilia cards are “not associated with a player or event.” And yet somehow prices today are still way higher than they used to be…explain that one to me 😒
Just alone with this episode has easily raised up the value of these "jersey fusion" card's with the information being given. I myself will be on the look out for them now. And earlier this year people were making these cards frowned upon for thinking they were cheap unauthenticated cards. This really clears that all up now!!
Nice for collectors! For instance I’m a big Gronk fan but he doesn’t have too much game used stuff, I found a nice jersey fusion Gronk patch for $60 that would have been a grand with panini
How do you figure?? You get a nice card and actual legit jersey worn by the athlete and you know the game and you can get VERY NICE UNTOUCHED CARDS on top of the Jersey used all of that for $30!! You really saying it's not pleasing?? You're nuts, compared to the crap we have been getting, sticker autographs that have the ink cut off by the sticker then having the card have some napkin from Dicks Sporting Goods!!! Dude It's $30!!!! You must not have been seeing the trash we have been getting!!!
I only buy these now. If i cant verify where it came from....i dont want it! Not being a SUCKER anymore. No more " not from any specific event" or a guarantee that cant be proven. Yeah... ill stick with these.
They’ve improved their product quite a lot. Still not for me but enjoy the presentation a lot more now that its integrated into the slab rather than stuck randomly on the card like they used to
Got the 2021 version, and got two yogi berra cards both 1 of 1's, one was a fusion patch, and 1 was a year tag. It's a cheap alternative and a great product.
I actually wanted the patch piece to be physically inside the card, as they normally would. Having the three pieces separate is actually a negative for me
Strongly agree. I’ve got two patch cards in my card collection, and a match worn in my guernsey (Australian football) collection. I love the cards for storage/display reasons, but also the complete game worn guernsey is awesome to have in the collection. This would be a budget 3rd option which isn’t bad, but they do look cheap with the patch over the card rather than under it. I’d rather a patch that takes up the whole dimension of a trading card with the card that has the details ect on the back behind the patch. I know it’s probably not fiscally possible (especially for high end players), but having a 3.5 - 2.5” (not sure if that is the exact trading card size lol) jersey patch would be awesome, and would be heaps easier to display and store than complete game worn jerseys.
What you both aren’t getting is they didn’t create the cards lol. These are real cards from back then. You can’t do what youre saying unless it’s a self made fake card lol
I would absolutely love to pull a Michael Jordan or that Larry Bird card that he talked about. What about a Derek Jeter or maybe even a Tiger Woods golf shirt?

I bought a Frank Robinson Jersey Fusion, not really knowing what I was getting. The photo on Ebay was not so great. However, the card is Awesome, and I just learned more about it.
I have seen the JerseyFusion product at shows and shops and honestly just kept walking because I assumed it was unlicensed stuff like Leaf’s products. Seeing that they’re authentic licensed cards (even if they’re base cards) tied with a piece of memorabilia that has a story really makes it appealing to me and now I’m going to try it out! Great video and great exposure for them. I’m going to go enter the contest now!
The idea for the National is a GREAT idea! That is an awesome way to keep the fun in the hobby. I am a fan of Jersey Fusion! We have seen plenty run through our eBay store!!

When I was first started looking at sports cards I was a idiot and bought 5 of these and they were awful and they were worth like 5 dollars and they costed 100$ don’t recommend
What’s the nicest base card they’re attaching these patches to? Seems like cheap / common base cards. Doubt you’re gonna get a roughly cut patch glued to a Kobe chrome rookie.
They are not glued in any way to the card. In the video it’s explained. And yes, one can get rookie cards, insert cards and base cards. That’s one of the fun things about this!
If you never made this video I would’ve never knew, this is an amazing idea to the hobby and I’m so excited over it. I wish I could get it from my local Walmart or target right now.
Cards look like my daughter made them. Really should have bought two of each of the junk cards that are used for them and then die cut one for the swatch and sandwiched them in-between with a spacer card in the middle...looks like the investor is running any paid endorsement offer that comes his way.

Can’t really be upset because its resale on a secondary market. It’s genius in my opinion. They would hit a homerun if the cards were on card autographed.
I think a lot of people slept on Jersey Fusion so this may be the first people are hearing of them. This was definitely long overdue! I appreciate all the details that go into ensuring the consumer can rest easy knowing that the material is authentic. Very affordable and perfect for any collector!
I’m curious how they can afford to make this product. I know from being a game worn hockey jersey collector that a Howe game used jersey can easily run between $30,000-$50,000. That’s just one player among a whole set. Cool idea though this is what helped me get into the hobby and I’d argue this is better than any of the trash panini produces
The maths kinda checks out. How many patches can one jersey become. Lets say at a low end 2000 half inch bits can be cut which seems on the low end that would still be $60k return realistically the number is 4000+ so 120k return
@@chrisb-nf7iy well I’d say you would easily need well over a million to $2 million dollars to invest in game worn items especially for high end players like this product promises. So they would have to be able to sell a large quantity of these to make a return on investment.
So crazy. I was big into cards and was a vendor at several tri star shows around 2000. The idea that Panini and other companies are putting our "jersey cards" that arent game used or wver touched by the player is a complete joke. In the late 90s thats what made the "relic" cards special. They were rare back then because they had heen player warn. These store bought jerseys with no player affiliation make them worthless to me. Same thing with the sticker autographs. On card is soooooo much better. Who wants a sticker? I want to know that the player touched the card and signed it. I was out of the hobby for a long time but have been watching vids lately amd how did it get to this point???
Sorry but this concept is NOT new. QVC used to sell these late Friday night back in the day. It fizzled because this type of product dilutes the hobby 👎
I have got some really epic cards and 4 patch jerseys from nba and nfl players. I really like Jersey fusion. But i keep them for myself. Not to sell (yet 😉) great clip 👍
I like it. I might check it out. I mostly just collect vintage NBA. I’ll wait until they have an NBA specific product, but very cool on Jersey fusion!!! It’s a great way to feel more connected to the player.

Although, as somebody that is just starting to collect game-used memorabilia, it just kills me that some of these jerseys are being bought at auctions to be cut up into tiny pieces. I'd much rather have a framed jersey hanging from my wall than a little card with a tiny square patch.
Kind of the same concept as public ownership of art. That game used jersey is thousands of dollars. Most people don’t have thousands of dollars for a jersey.
Were these relics removed from previous cards or from "fresh uniforms". Probably the only way this could be afforded? Cool the items are not stuck to the cards. That you don't see often. I had damaged relic and 1/2 the relic was tape. It was yucky.
At least one of them knows how to properly use a razor to cut open a box and not damage it. When I saw him carve that big x in that beautiful box i just cringed.
I don't know. It's strange having the jersey pieces separate from the card. It kind of takes away from the fact that what makes those cards cool is that a piece of the game was integrated in the design. This reminds me of those BGS cases of regular cards where they have a little piece of the jersey in the top right corner of the case. Overall, just made me really think how stupid it was to value jersey pieces so much because of how stupid it looked.
I don’t like 3rd parties doing this. I don’t even buy Leaf. But it’s sad 3rd party companies are putting out better card memorabilia than the licensed companies. This is the perfect consumer product for the “buys what you like” guys. I consider panini cards with fake patches as a legit scam. Panini should be publicly scolded for putting out fake patches and fake sticker auto patches. Love how they tell you what game it’s actually from. If I ran these companies. Every patch would be dated. Imagining going to a NBA game, and then collecting the jersey card from that exact game. That’s innovation. If we are going to pay thousands for cards. Actually put in the value. I’m not buying a single panini card. I’ll continue to buy 90’s inserts and early topps chrome basketball. When fanatics comes out with cards…. I’ll consider buying modern again.

I have a Yogi that I replaced the original card with my auto. I looks GREAT! I went through there re-slab process.

Look a little cleaner than what i remember when they first came out, still look a little sloppy not sure how they can make it better

You get about 9,300 half inch swatches from an NBA jersey and even more from an NFL or NHL jersey. Easy math on the margins for this product.

Grading companies will not since the cards are altered.
Should have talked about the game you play to earn free boxes after a games has been played based on what the player does.
