After the 'premiere' of a new production at the Metropolitan in New York in 1967 he was embraced by the set and costume designer, the eighty-year-old Chagall, with cries of 'Monsieur Prrey, you are Mozaarr!' No matter how good other baritones have (and may) be, 'Papageno' is a feather belonging to Prey's cap - and to Prey's cap ONLY!

I have adored this Baritone for decades! How lucky we are to be able to see these acts. I love the Opera's he did with Luigi Alva. They had so much fun working together. He sings and acts with so much joy. You just don't see that anymore!! Thank you, Maestro Prey!!

Danke, Prey war erstklassig. Aber das Ende Dank der "historischen" VHS-Aufnahme hat mich Tränen lachen lassen.
