  • It was middle of June, the rains have finally stopped or so I've thought. Seeing a scorpion on your tent is one of the last things you'd want to see before going to sleep to avoid the incoming rain. Because of the design of this tent, when you open the zippers, anything that is on the tent might fall inside of it... What I thought was going to be a nice and calm filming turned into a dreadful night as I couldn't close the part of the tent that is attached to the bike and I could feel the splash of rain with the wind. Once you're in the tent you cannot see if there is any scorpions or spiders on it, especially in the darkness. Despite of heavy rain in the night there were no leaks and it was very comfortable... What I learnt from this trip is never to setup camp in tall grass!!!

Beautiful scenery and nice spot to camp. Where was it? No mention in the description.

It's Vratsa, Bulgaria. Popular spot for mountain climbing, hiking etc.

@@DikiciMotovlog it looks lovely. I'd like to visit the area some day. Problem is there are so many beautiful places and so little time😂. Thanks for your reply and keep on exploring on your bike👍

@@motohobo I agree with that completely, not enough time to explore all the amazing places... Thank you! Ride safe :)

Great vid, so much better without the monotonous commentaries of other vids. I have the Goose tent similar just a bit smaller and its brilliant - in all weathers.
Liked your knot for guy rope - how did you do that - another vid?

@@ragarse3 thanks mate, I appreciate it. Yes this canvas tent is pretty good for all kinds of temperatures... I was considering the goose but I thought I'll go camp with my boy at some point so I got the toucan. Nice to have a bit more space but it's very bulky on the bike 😁 I saw the knot making from a channel named "the bear essentials" definitely recommend it. ✌🏻️

Never thought scorpions live high in mountains,I once found a nice place for my tent then I saw 4 snakes while setting up my camp n decided to pack n go,hate these bastards,by the way that tent doesn’t look effective, too tight n small, only for 1person but takes a lot of space, regular tents seems much better, peace!

I didn't know that either, if the ground is damp with some water source nearby and there are tall grass, it's best to avoid the area. The elevation here was about 500 meters/1600ft I completely agree with the tent, it's actually one of the bigger ones of it's class. But it comes at almost 29lbs/13Kg. Definitely not practical for motorcycle touring. The thing I like about it is that it's very sturdy and it also comes with it's own comfy mattress and sleeping bag. 🤙
