I also find rock shelters also w lil mounds near the mouth of the rock shelter or cave.my theory is that they kinda dug in to A.make more space,B.to help shelter from wind.i also find in my part of the country I typically find em at about 800ft.usually in a spur or on the south face in my personal experience.just some ideas hmu anytime

it's not a mound ..it's part of an old wall to enclose it..and the charcoal u seen is probably where they throw it out.. down the cliff when it was built up in the shelter

I know this place, it is about 6-8 miles up the dirt road that is by the yellow bridge that crosses Lee Creek. Right?

I think this has Prehistoric evidence in that charcoal and bones. Those can be dated. They have a new way of excavating these sites, thanks to technology. They don't have to tear up the site anymore. They use ground penetrating radar and AI to recreate the site without damaging it. Id call a university or one of these guys on here that use that technology. I'm so excited, i can't think of the name of the guy who shows videos of recreating ancient sites. Albert Lin. There's a couple more. If i think of their names, ill send them. That site looks very, very old. Like Caveman old. Thanks for sharing. If you find out the history there, please share it. Ok?

True, I worry for the people who are stuck in cities and big towns who don't have the opportunity to learn about safe places deep inside nature. But, perhaps the creator imparted knowledge to the few to help the many..well just have to wait and see:) Thanks for posting

***** am in to the prepping because I know the war is coming as to religion I have no interest I would say more on post on PB but the nutcases would only attack you ,,but anyway keep safe and store food and water :)

Paul Gilbert Prepping is great but remember people CAN and WILL take your food if they get a chance to. If you really want to be able to survive learn plant lore and subsistence hunting and farming. If you lived in Arkansas we would teach you but I'm sure there are people where you live that probably teach classes and it could mean the difference between life and death. good luck..

Paul Gilbert You need to move to the states, we have an abundance of game and wild plant food not to mention where I live the land is cheap. We also own over a 1000 acres in Arkansas and Oklahoma that we farm and run cattle on. If your ever interested let me know. Thanks Rob

Don't take artifacts. Some of these places are 15-20,000 years old. Thanks for not desecrating archeological sites.

If you are breaking artifacts, why don't you realize that? And stop breaking things.
I use a plastic tent stake, and a plastic kid's beach shovel.
    Try that.

Your 'work' at this site is more than just a casual hunt for artifacts and because of its size and very likely easy to find location, you really should contact a University and have a team of students work the site. You guys are not archeologists and I'd bet that since this vid has been posted that mound site probably does not exist any longer. Casual hunting for artifacts is fine, pilfering ancient sites is wrong on all accounts.
