1:20:25 was messing with this a bit n turns out you dont need the sprint thing for him at all but havent done without a sword yet. and with that looks like every forced encounter in this area can be skipped in some way or another O.o
Look forward to frequent patches, the dev has been rolling out qol changes and bug fixes every week or every few weeks recently. No clue about new content, that'll be here when it's ready.
Currently working on my run and was very astounded somebody beat me to it. Was thinking the runs has to be setup by class choice since the classes can have varying degrees of viability in different scenarios and also a glitchless/no-oob category as well. I was interested early on you were leveling dex but using strength weapons at some points (probably because it was still an upgrade over what you had), but that you also went items that are usually for strength scaling (such as the red ring) which I thought didn't boost damage unless you were using strength weapons. I am trying my best to plan a route and make sure I understand scaling/stats to the best of my ability for the run to go as good as possible.
I can definitely help you with that! Basically early on, stats dont really matter. What really matters early on is gear, so I switch around for damage sake as weapons tend to cap out of damage extremely quickly early on. I also get the strength ring since that one has the most tankiness compared to the other two. It's not until lv 10 and above when I start mainly focusing on using dex weapons. I will say though that any class has potential to be speedrunnable! For fighters, rock throw early on is a beast of nature and its not hard at all to find strength weapons throughout. Mystics though are rng as you would need to get a magic scaling skill scroll before lv 10 to get a good run.
@exar_mesh8239 That makes sense about the rings. I wish stats weren't as hard capped on damage but I could understand a bandit going 81 dex and doing crazy auto damage without much fear of getting touched. I think i found a way to do the large citadel skip on warrior/mage but it's much much harder without triple jump. We'll see what time my first run gets! I expect about a 2:30 or so.
@@exar_mesh8239 Thank you so much for showcasing the run, I was able to get a 1:27 on warrior for my first run. Rock toss is insane. I just need to actually remember to hit my splits on time since I just kept going and being like "oh yeah quest split" which will make it hard to see where I can save time. Maybe I should just get rid of them and have the overall run be the time. Rock toss is actually the goat I never realized, probably because I didn't end up buying 300x of them from the shop but its such a good skill to kill anything early faster with the much higher base damage getting past defense better. I unironically got really lucky since the ghost ended up dropping a lord tunic and I got good strength weapons at good times. Will just need to refine my movement and try again!
@exar_mesh8239 Honestly you beat my time easily, it's mainly time saved from how long it took you to hit the skip and less time in sanctum, but even i could have saved time in sanctum. Also forgot to hit the keep fast travel the first time so that was a minute loss at least lol.
Nice, do you happen to know if theres anything to do after beating the colossus boss? Ive beaten him and am soon lvl 25, been everywhere and yea, any ideas if theres anything that could still be done?
As far as I'm aware, main quest content ends with Colossus, but there's a pretty deep field area in the Valley that I haven't seen the end of yet, pretty sure that's where the next main area will be, so might be worth checking out?
