She has incredible mid belts. Based on this video she seems consistently free up to D5/Eb5. Some of her upper belts are free too. I love her E5s and some of her F5s too! Beautiful head voice!
@@ThePianoguy89 she has a lot of great moments and im not sure why she never became consistent. As far as belting, she’s similar to Sarah G and Julie Anne - good but some bad habits that prevented them from reaching their best
Her tone is good actually, but the problem is the tension in her mid belts to upper belts hinder her tone to shine more in the upper range for her voice. She already has good musicality plus agility, if she could fix her placement and reduce the tension in her belts, she would be unstoppable.
Ironically in TNT, Kyla gives criticism to TNT contenders to produce cleaner belting sound. I wonder if Kyla likes her sound and does not want to change it. She seems to be knowledgeable about vocal technique based on her TNT judging.
if i may, her placement is almost sounds mixed to the point where she can have a smooth transition from chest without any problems. her comments on producing "clean" belting sounds because most of the contestants focuses mainly on one thing, to hit that "jackpot" note whatever it takes. i believe this comment is purely based performance-wise. the one problem i think, is she doesnt have a good timbre on high "belting" range, unlike regine(though her falsettos are heavenly which balances it); but one thing for sure, she has mastered full control on her voice.
Her voice is not big and round naturally. She's just making efforts to make it sound "bigger" and "round" hence the chesty coordination. But she can only pull chest to her voice's limit. It is still commendable how she manages to pull chest up to Bb5.
can u do 2023 2024? she has a lot of concerts with kz in the US and her voice was awesome there. Their feeling good duet is a vocal masterpiece
She sounds like Tori Kelly sometimes which is a great compliment

Noooo she struggles A LOT (tension as low as G4), making this video required a lot of research because these clips are rare

@@maryahwatkinsarchives.5505 Agreed with you coz I see it too
@@maryahwatkinsarchives.5505 Probably due to stylistic choices.
She has more upper belts too but i only used her clearest notes

Her head voice is divine. She sounds free upto A5/Bb5 (with good moments in B5 and C6)
MARYAH I MISS YOU!!!
She is one of the most agile singer in the Philippines. The you Maryahwatkins for the video of Kyla's voice range. ❤❤🇨🇦
She's also one of the most agile singers in the Philippines.
she is THE most agile in Ph.
@anonymous they all still lack musicality. Katrina lacks technique. They're all reaaaally great, though.
@anonymous they're not nearly as fast and precise as Kyla. Kyla's agility is very refined. Not saying they're not agile and amazing tho
Mariah surely inspired her runs, but I hear the influence of Patti Labelle in her as well.
I love her belts and her vibrato(though her head is always almost shaking). I also think her runs are the best runs here in Ph.
Yeah, she shakes her head to add a vibrato effect. Very rarely is her vibrato completely natural but she does have SOME examples like 7:50
She has a B2 and B5(belt) in TikTok, just sharing
@anonymous yep, it was non-melodic. I rechecked. Thanksssss!

Beautiful head voice.
A4 is a good spot for her.
Her b4s are good too. She's consistent

Nice video. I wonder if you can do Angeline Quinto's next?
He has A A5 in Halo glee cover and Bb5
Pamatay talaga vibrato ni Kyla
You should make one for Klarisse De Guzman.
It's not enough to say to say I worship this kween 😶
