      Its embarrassing how tight some of these nits play. Old, young, I don’t care.

    I might play the JTs different on the turn. I probably continue with the passive line, and on the river x/shove if the monster draw complete (if not, x/pass).
    But your play is probably better.

    Great video! I got a question, if you don't mind answering:
    At 4:58, you have a table change, but your stack goes from 117.2k to 47k. Were there a few hands that that you didn't show that got you down to 47k, or did WSOP force you to keep those chips in reserve for another table change?

    • @ALLinPav
      @ALLinPav  Рік тому

      i believe the table change was a few orbits after the JTcc hand. i dont believe there was a significant pot lost, just many small to medium ones. its tough putting it all into a vlog

  • @GeorgeBamm
    @GeorgeBamm Рік тому +2

    on a friendly tone.. before the table change you had more than 100k and then you shows us the hand with AQs when you have 50k.. i think it would be much enlightening and informing to show us how you got back to 50k . hands you lost and choices you made even if they do not pay off but have something to teach are equally meaningful as any big flip or a hand you won by bluff check raising.

    • @ALLinPav
      @ALLinPav  Рік тому +1

If it comes to the hand with KQ I believe you can easily get 3 streets from this field even betting large OTR looking like an Ac missed draw. I know it's not according to the solver, but it's a "Street live WSOP poker", people won't call/fold as solver does!

    The biggest issue with this years WSOP is the payouts. How does 9th place in a tournament with over 5000 people (2005) pay more than 9th place in a tournament with over 10000 people? Theyre basically making it so 'just making the money' is alot easier and more valuable to shoot for, where playing for deep runs isn't as rewarding. Like at a certain point, youre better off folding 98% of your hands and basically never playing and getting blinded off, than actually trying to play poker to make the final table. Like say you have a solid stack, you can play super tight and slow and have a 50% chance to improve from $100k to $200k, or you can make some moves and actually play poker, and have a 5% chance to move from $100k to $300k and less than a 0.5% chance to get to a million. It doesn't make sense to do that, the ratio of earnings gained to earnings lost is so terrible.... the only guys who should actually be playing poker by that point are the ones who are rich enough that the money DOES NOT MATTER. And they purely want to be world champion. For everyone else, be a tightass, and maximize your earnings in the main event!

    With the 10/J of clubs you have a gutter to a straight flush draw. For some reason, the one thing poker youtubers seemingly forget to mention alot is straight flush draws and I'll never understand it haha. They always do what you did, mention the straight draw, mention the flush draw, forget you have a straight flush draw. And what makes it even more confusing is, you're doing the voice over for this of course after the fact. So you're literally looking at the video and somehow miss the obvious straight flush draw.

Thats a sign of an anxious player, or a player with far too many stimulants in his system. Either way it's a weakness other players can exploit. It's also just annoying so I guess it could be simply used to tilt other players but, at our local poker house that's actually against the rules, if a player asks another player to stop playing with their chips they must stop. Cutoff 3bs your early pos open to 5800... you have J10c. You say, of course I called. Why???
    Guys, if you're going to continue with marginal holdings try your best to do it in position at least.
    You can't always defend an early pos open.
    Havn't seen the outcome of the hand yet, but found that comment to be curious.
    Saw the outcome...
    I woulda check-raised that tiny flop bet for sure most of the time, but ok no biggie.
    No one is folding AK or AA to your turn check-raise. Or at least you certainly cannot count on them to fold those really any percentage of the time... that should not have entered your head.

    I can cuss and drink with the best of them but I would have called the pit boss on that’s guys mouth. When I go out for game or drink I know how and when to keep my mouth shut. The bar tender should have cut him off. Who knows how he was getting home.

    YEP playing with money on any kind of gambling while drinking is not a good idea. I realize that there is a lot of strategy involved with Texas Holdem but also believe that the luck of the draw is about 55-80% of the game.
    I am Not a gambler.. I played black jack in Vegas several times in the early 70's when I was single and pretty much lost almost every time. One Time I could do no wrong and won so often that the casino decided I was counting cards which was NOT what I was doing -hell I'm not smart enough to even try that. Anyway I walked out with $21,000++ and broken even for the 10 trips I took to Vegas- well I actually make about $50. LOL after that I have not gambled at anything more than penny anti home straight poker and I usually looks at that.
