    Really happy for Broc, everyone's been smashing him all year including the AHU crew at some point during the year even though he has the most wins in 2024 but we're quick to brush off the fact that he's only 21.
    He and Brodie absolutely smashed the field and Broc drove a car that looked on edge all weekend beautifully.

    Fcking solid effort. No need ever to be sad or hollow or anything about getting 3rd in the biggest race we have. It is very positive,

    Was at Bathurst this yr . Was at the Esses for the crashes in qualifying . Definitely the faster laps of the weekend . It was so obvious being there how careful the group was in the race. It was almost like the race was the whole feild being to scared to push . It goes back to what you guys say every podcast. To much of caring . Even you Scotty . Just want to do your best and keep racing. Unfortunately we have made fucking up such a big deal. We want you to push and fuck it up . I personally want to see the whole field racing like it was their last race.

    The international co-driver round at the Gold Coast back in 2010-12 was really good to watch.
    I'd be a fan if that came back, but a 3 round enduro cup is definatly better than 2 regardless

    1stly, congrats on another trophy scotty. Much deserved. I like where you going with the co driver cup talk. Definitely need to bring gold coast back for the 3rd co driver race. No top 10 shootouts in co driver cup races, but a co driver race the day before to set the grid. Make you boys earn your keep!! Also like the idea of co driver practice sessions throught the earlier race weekend's, co drivers are such big personalities now also that they would be an attraction still.
    Also about the final, Definitely win and your in needs to be implemented!! Even if team orders come into play!! One my favourite races was 2017 newcastle when T8 pitted lowndes to put him on new tyres to take it to scotty mac to keep djr from winning the championship. Lowndes ended up in the wall, scotty got a penalty and jdub dived into a fountain, even into the habour later off a boat!!! But just before the race finished jdub and co were waiting for a ruling on the scotty mac / lowndes crash before knowing if they sealed the championship. Good times.
    Stanaway top 10 shootout lap was my highlight, hopefully he gets picked up for next yr. Looking at you PremAir!!
    Ps. Please move the sponsors sign behind Elliott to the left a foot so their in clear view when Elliott is in frame.
    Love the pod boys. Great work Elliot and Scotty. You guys are really delivering for the fans.

    Great show again guys really enjoying it. I hear a lot that the setup window in the gen 3 car is small. what could they do to improve this and would that create better racing as more cars would be fast but fast in other ways to other cars just like drivers them self's create speed in different ways

    quickest way to do the weights is every driver gets weighed twice on the weekend so make sure they're not water logging, put a little bucket in the passenger foot well, and give everyone a stack of weights wrap it up in 2 different colours of duct tape, every change someone reaches in grabs the weight out and they can either drop the new one in or the driver getting in chucks it in. actually it would need a lid to stop 30kg flying around, yeah one of the pit crew needs to do it. maybe chuck it in the cool suit box. 2 different colours and labeled to the driver, so you can see whats not in the car. super basic i could do that myself tomorrow

      I suggested that the guy changing the drink bottle and dry ice could add or remove a lead plate to the car depending on the driver entering or exiting the car. It seems we're on the same page.

    There was a massive notable change in the coverage across the Bathurst weekend. I couldn't believe the amount of camera time, Scotty and the Suercheap car got across the weekend. Give the coverage was warranted towards them, but seems SC seem to be opening their ears a little bit recently

    Well done on the endurance campaign. Just curious on your thoughts if Bathurst actually needs to be a points race (endurance cup not withstanding) or just a no holds barred 1000k win it or bin it scenario

    Would have loved to hear from a drunk SVG. Win and your in for sure, closed pit lane on full course yellow, am I imagining things or was Super 2 one second faster than the main game in qualifying? Great job on the weekend, felt so bad for you on Thursday but that's racing, loving your pod.

    Super 2 should run a 500 on Saturday allow co-driver wildcards for endurance races...Then reduce practice for Supercars...

    Nascar generate their downforce from the floor and rear diffuser, that's why they run the cars stiff and low to the ground. SVG has touched it quite a few times.

    Great chat lads. I'm only part way through it but just saw the bit where you were talking of co driver weight and how it affects parity of the cars. It's a competitive series and supercars should do everything in its power to make conditions equal but having the minimum weight including driver taking things too far? Should we just go back to having a minimum weight for the car alone a better option? Even if just for the endurance events. As Scotty said, you could average the weight of both drivers but it does leave it open for the main driver to be penalised. Is there another option where the team adds or removes the weight during the pitstop depending on which driver is getting in or out of the car? Basically, have a team member attach a lead plate to the car while he's changing the drink bottle?

      Just getting to the end now. The listeners comment regarding super 2 joining the main race for a 500 and particularly Elliott's thoughts on it. Is this a short term problem? I would expect the current gen3 cars will filter down into super 2 within the next year or 2 so everyone is gonna have the same machinery anyhow. I think all the punters knew this was gonna happen since the birth of gen 3.

    They need to have a guaranteed punishment for if anyone deliberately crashes a playoff driver out cause to put it bluntly if BJR only has Andre in the playoffs they could just have the other 3 cars knock 3 playoff drivers each round and then it's on Andre at Adelaide to finish it

    The current gen3 car is hard to drive, but on TV and at the track it certainly doesn't look hard to drive. It looks very boring and easy. They need to make a car that actually looks like it's on the ragged edge. Body roll in the corners and wheel lift and constantly chasing the car is what viewers want to see (remember how wild brocks '91 shootout lap looked). The cars need to look more exciting being driven on the limit. I think stages will come in next year.

    Ummm pretty sure based on nascar Brodie wouldn't be eligible due to missing rounds.... so win and you in would be a good idea however driver MUST contest whole season. Otherwise your mindset means co drivers from 2 endurance races should be eligible 😂

    The chevy cup is really interesting as a fan, everyone has an idea how to fix things. Its pretty rottern i want to defend it, i was excited but its the same every season apart from when penske rocked up with cash.
    Would an engineering salary cap of been better than trying for absolute parity?
    Love the pod but you guys were talking up ford top end again, but it was nowhere to be seen. Theres always been gamesmanship but its shit now, its feels like we're been taken for fools as fans and certainly for granted.

      Well said. Watch the Ford teams at Gold Coast & Adelaide suddenly remember how to drive and set up a car because they have short straights.
      It’s clear as day that the Camaro & Mustang have massively different characteristics and Bathurst will continue to be one sided and predictable.
      The scary thing is this people seem to just straight out ignore or write off the discrepancies because it suits them even though it has the potential to harm the sport.

    Not sure I can subscribe to the weight debate. You use Todd as an example and being x kg lighter than Scott. OK, there may be a slight advantage when he is in the car, but then Brodie jumps in. He is a tall, solid dude who definitely weighs in excess of Scott or Will. Advantage gone. I truly think it's a moot point.
    BTW, congratulations Scott on a stellar drive. What was paramount to me was your consistency, and the way you embraced the team. Very professional, and very well executed.

    • @jarredferguson8290

      Pretty sure every car starts the same weight with the main eg
      Brodie 1800kg
      Will 1800kg
      Todd 1770kg
      Scott 1808 kg
      That’s my understanding

    • @gerardcrabb4556
      @gerardcrabb4556 Годину тому

      They could run a F1 size driver and get huge weight advantage when difference is 30 kg time adds up in stint to gain over 1000 kms...

    • @apexhuntersunited
      @apexhuntersunited  Годину тому

      No scott and Brodie when in the car weight the same.. lighter drivers run ballast that’s how it works. Scott is 2kg heavier than Will so slightly heavier than Brodie if he’s on the same weight as every other main.

    • @apexhuntersunited
      @apexhuntersunited  Годину тому

      Yeah that’s spot on.

    • @andrewmitchell2522
      @andrewmitchell2522 57 хвилин тому

      So, hang on.. am I being a bit thick here. The car is weighed with main driver in, and then has ballast added, removed to meet target weight. Like horse racing?
      I thought vehicle weight, as in Max.. Min was static. Car has to weigh this, without driver.
