Bit of a chilly day ( especially when foggy) but sun was out. I have so much admiration for these volunteer lock operators. They are absolute diamond folk arent they. When you said you flew through the locks you wasnt joking Trev😂😂👏👏
The volunteers are brilliant. Theresa has been on my boat and we did Bosley locks together twice and she insists on doing all the locks. The great thing is that she knows by looking if I am ready and we work well as a team.
@TrevsTravelsByNarrowboat she sounds the best, did Bosley Lock last year..( PS..PUB NEWS..olde Barbridge Inn ( Barbridge Junction) to reopen in Summer. Not the best pub but better being turned into accommodation 👍

Hi trev as I have said before it's been many years since I travelled along the canal in this video.. What I can say is that without the volunteers operating the lock's for people you would definitely be in for a really hard day.? In seventy years of living on the canals I never heard one of them moan about anything. Even when someone was complaining about how long it took to go through a lock. If you have not witnessed this yet you will one day but don't do what I done and give them a free swimming lesson.. In a flooding lock. the police take a dim view of this type of behaviour..???anyway I bet he never was aggressive with the volunteers ever again. To be honest it was worth the £40..pound fine for chucking him in the canal.?? To be perfectly honest I don't know if I ever paid it in full..anyway trev as always keep yourself safe and well mate make sure you stock up with fuel the winter is far from over .?? Diesel is going up according to reports I have read today. So don't be surprised if red goes up as well.
I must remember not to chuck any more cyclists in the canal. Not quite chucked in, but I made sure that was where he ended up. He came hurtling through a blind bridge hole straight at me and like anyone would I put my arms out to protect myself, even if in the motion of doing so there was a push also to the left where the canal was. Red in some places is almost the same price as white anyway, and if you pay the propulsion surcharge it is a lot more.
@TrevsTravelsByNarrowboat nobody can blame you for doing that trev. What got to me at the time was his language and hands on approach towards the volunteers operating the lock. When he grabbed one of the volunteers by the neck was enough to trigger my reaction towards him. Unfortunately trev people forget that without these volunteers the canals would not exist anymore ??

When the sun is out, it always feels warmer than it is, I think. As for the boats, I have no idea.
