The "Herbarium" means that the plant specimen. "Herbarium" put preserved flowers and dried flowers in glass bottles and soaked in "Herbarium" dedicated oil.
Herbarium using a red colored Preserved Flower.
It is an interior miscellaneous goods which you can enjoy flowers long without care.
If you make it with preserved flower or dried flowers of your choice color, you can make only one "Herbarium" in the world.

What are Herbarium for????
Is it ok if we don't pour any oil? I mean, just the flowers inside the bottle, without oil
Thank you so much for the inspiration to utilizing flower so beautiful. I would ask you something, I have tried to make it but it did not stay fresh and started to be discolored. The oil was not limpid too. So if you say that the flower have to be "Preserved Flower". So how to make a Preserved Flower? And is it certainty if I use preserved flower, the herbarium will be long term staying fresh?

Fresh flowers can not be used.If you use a material that contains moisture, you will rot.
A product called "preserved flower" is in circulation. in Japan.
It is made by a method of dehydrating once and coloring newly.
It does not rot because it contains no moisture.
There is a way to make a "preserved flower" by yourself, but it seems to be expensive and time-consuming.
I have not tried it yet.

what does this herbarium oil contains?? I have ordered jujuba oil for the same thing is it good or not? Also i am looking for flower preservation liquid to add (maybe this is needed for a long therm period of flowers to remain alive right) ? If i need to have it for short period of time I dont need to add this flower conservant, but if I need it for a long period of time to be alive I should add this conservant ? Please tell me if jujuba oil is good, I can purchase 750 ml for 45$ I get cheaper that that with herbarium oil or it's the same? please help me I am an fresh horticulturist engineer and I am looking to start something

This "HERBARIUM" is an object for indoor use.
It is not a method for long-term preservation of fresh flowers.
The materials used are "Preserved Flower" and "Dry Flower".
The oil I use is "mineral oil".
This is a product sold in Japan as a dedicated oil for making "HERBARIUM".

Since it does not contain moisture, it will not rot.
But discolored by direct sunlight.

Yes, oil is oil.
No, not recommended by instructors in Japan. You need to be using Herbarium oil which is formulated to not discolor flowers nor oil itself and it is long lasting. Not the same thing as any other oil, and it is not the same thing as regular mineral oil.
