I love the way you explained how the sentiment "Happiness is progress" relates to your preference for Hermes. I have prioritized Hermes since the start of my luxury journey. It's GOAT, it's HG.
What progression? This is not a career where you get a promotion, it's fashion brands we're talking about. I don't really understand the idea of progression here. And I'm a loyal customer of Hermes, far more than Chanel, but I don't understand the need to put yourself somehow above another just because you prefer Hermes designs more.
Your brand loyalty is simply a reflection of your personal taste, and it does not define your worth. My own preferences have evolved over time, progressing from Chanel in my 30s to Hermes in my 40s. Please avoid making false assumptions about my statements.
Don’t really agree with the “progression”regarding handbags. They are just all handbags all made out of leather especially when you get to the Chanel Louis Vuitton an Hermès quality… the only progression is the price nothing else
i sold my gabrielle last week! reason being, not bcos i fell out of love, i love the functionality but because all the leather has came off from the straps and i checked with the boutique, it will take 6 months for them to send to paris and i feel the wait is too long. i bought a seasonal chanel instead! the coco first! very spacious, has the cf look but much more spacious and the price point is good too!
💛 Do you find it a hassle to get in and out of with your Kelly Bag? I prefer it because the shoulder strap and it weighs lighter than the Birkin. Thanks.

Therefore I got my B in July, and my K in December. Even my SA said I waited a looong time for for my first offer since it was so rare.

Hi Amy! Happy New Year! 🎆 I have to agree with you in regards to the Chanel 19. I waited a bit to get the 19 as I wasn’t sure I would love it so much. Well, I don’t know why I waited so long, lol! I love my small Chanel 19 in black so much. In fact after a few months of owning my small Chanel black 19 I bought the small Chanel 19 in caramel. They are both such awesome bags!

So sorry to hear that you had to wait many months for the B25 and then had to wait many more months to get it back from Paris. I can definitely understand how you feel when you said that while you wait you made a few purchases from Chanel. I’m waiting to get offered a K25 and can sense that it’s coming. But, the waiting time is killing me. I went to Chanel boutique recently and bought a bag. Ended up returning it cuz it didn’t give me the full satisfaction. Continue my H journey which is very expensive indeed! But, I’d rather spend $ on things that give me joy and will treasure for a long time.

This is just my opinion but I think that anyone who wants or does buy a Birkin it is only for the status symbol - I can’t understand the Birkin as it is s limited - no shoulder or crossbody carry has to be carried by hand only - just not practical- the 25 can’t even be put on the crook of your arm as the handle is so small!
I was used to not like top handle carry bags but now they are my favorites. I wouldn’t even use the shoulder straps on a birkin. I love the birkin because of how it is made. No need for any straps for me. Actually I’ve got 2 picotins that are only hand carry just because these bags are totally my style. I am older, I have my 2 hands free and I love wearing these bags in the crook of my arms. The Birkin 25 wouldn’t be my first choice though because it’s impossible to wear it in the crook of my arm and I wear my 30 a lot like it. All of it to say, not all of us, love straps and top handle carry is something we really love.
Birkin bags may not be everyone's taste and may be perceived as a symbol of status, but ultimately that is subjective. I am comfortable wearing my B25 on the crook of my arm, without being influenced by its possible connotations. I appreciate both top handle and strap bags equally. :)

I wish we could try these bags in store, I know it’s possible in some but it’s not in my store. I really almost always wear my 30 ( actually all my top handle bags) in the crook of my arm so that’s why it’s important to me.

Whatever happened to people just enjoying their purchases for the frivolous items they are and not try to morph them into something far more important. I use to enjoy your content but eventually unsubscribed a while ago because you started shopping in a different manner than what I find fun, individualistic or fashionable, personally.
