Here's a little trick with the Suit Jacket buttons I learned in the late 90's. Regarding 3-buttons, starting from Top to Bottom: "Sometimes, Always, Never"

Funny how you mention the length of sleeves on a sports coat. I was wearing a newer spring sports coat the other day, and I noticed the sleeves were long. I told my wife it really bothered me. She said no, they look fine. I said sorry dear they're not." I took it to the tailor it cost $60 to get it fixed. But guess what? It's perfect now, and it looks 100% better. Could not agree more about details even if you're the only one who notices, it matters 👍🤗

Finding a good tailor is a must, once you see how you look when the clothes fit you properly there's no way back. And please don't forget about the hairs coming out from the ears.

Great content. One important detail you missed out here: If wearing leather shoes (brogues, derby's or Oxfords etc.) make sure they are polished. I have been surprised how many times people - ladies especially - comment on my shoes if I have put a good shine on them. Lastly, John, I am surprised that someone as well put together as you would even dare to venture out wearing a suit or jacket that was not 100% properly fitted. I test fit all of my clothes and get them altered as required before wearing them.
