1. Needs a better camera, definitely!
2. Why is it not wireless? Who wants a wire hanging down from your mirror?
Bruh, basically all dashcams aren’t wireless. They need a constant power source because their batteries are small. If you want it to be wireless, it will be a VERY big device, like a iPad. And it’ll block your vision on the road. 2. Why are almost everybody so lazy to just hide the wire behind the car trim?!?! I have done it before and it is easy.

WHAT WERE YOU EXPECTING FOR $50?! This far surpasses what I expected for the cost of going out eat.
Mine worked for 3 days and then nothing. I sent the unit back and now getting flack about tracking number they want. They have the unit back and my note as they asked.
So now it is time to slam this pile of SHYT in the trash as a WASTE OF MONEY.
I have been using this dash cam and for the low price you can't really complain about the HD video quality, it is not HD that is for sure but it does work well enough to record an accident or someone messing around with your car or truck while your in shopping.
For me it was easy to hook up and day time is much better video then night time but it still catches enough to get the job done for the low price.
If you don't like the wire hanging BS it has a 1 hour internal battery life so I just unplug it from the cord for short trips this does away with the wire BS quick fix.
I mean really if you want to make HD videos then go buy a 200 or 300 dollar unit and have fun, but for the low price of 40 bucks all included can't ask for miracles folks.

No way would it be great for ANY driver, unless you had nothing else! That is one of the shittiest dashcam vids I've ever seen! Anyone who buys this for $50 is a sucker!!

Thank you for posting. I watched a couple other reviews of this cam and apparently license plates couldn't be read. Same as you, night time wasn't good. I don't even consider something from an infomercial unless I check out your reviews. Saves me the hassle of sending stuff back
Don't mind this dash cam but one thing is that when I'm driving the mirror shakes quite a bit making it hard to see in the rear view mirror. When I hold my hand on the mirror however it doesn't shake. Any ideas?
Honestly, I am buying this now. My cousin had a 1080p dash cam for when he was an Uber driver in CO Springs, he spent about $200+ for his, sad thing is it was the best on the market outside of a goPro, he got it in 2016, and the quality was trash, I mean it looked pretty good while driving on a small 4.3" screen but once on the laptop, it was pixelated from hell and it was supposed to be 1080p. Now I know not everyrhing is going to be perfect, BUT this thing actualy sounds better and looks better than I thought, I mean it beats using your cell as a dash cam 😂😂 I mean the 350° cam is actualy pretty cool, I know alot of things I could use this for, especialy being a car guy. Now I noticed you didn't try the instant on feature that it has, and also you can make the screen go away. Anyways good review, I will be buying this in a couple of days.
I called to order one (big mistake- they try to upsell and get you to buy more stuff and subscribe to junk). When I told the woman on the phone "I JUST want the camera I saw on TV", she hung up on me! Of course that was *after* giving my CC info, address (if you want one do not call, go online so an idiot doesn't fly through tons of info without fully explaining it). I'm going to call all 3 numbers and hope (demand my order be cancelled). I've learned to not buy "as seen on tv" stuff until it's on a real shelf in a real store where you can skip the BS, buy the item, and be able to return if needed by going back to the store.
I also usually wait until items hit store shelves, to avoid shipping fees and delays, and the annoying attempts to sell me something else.
Hi. Thanks for the review. A person with kids might want to use the swivel feature to record their silliness or to just keep an eye on a baby, etc. I think it's decent for the price (Amazon price $49.99 and free Prime shipping). You can see the tag # in daytime but not so well at night. I couldn't really tell a difference when toggling between day and night mode but I think it will serve its purpose. I did find a different one on Amazon for $35 that included front (1080p) AND rear (720p) cameras. It had a touch screen though and I think I prefer having physical buttons since some touch screens can be difficult to see depending on glare. I'm in the research phase at the moment so thanks again for this helpful review! 🙂
I had one for a few weeks that served me well at night Except the Audio had a bad hum. Target quit selling them so I didn’t replace it. Now I need a new dashcam and since the audio is clear on here, I’ll try it again. I liked the one I had. I park and turn the camera on myself to make notes for later. Based on this demo I’ll try it once again because my only complaint before was the audio. I recall it working well at night but now I have a year of other footage to compare to. Thank you.
Well not the best, but what do you expect for this price? Certainly better than nothing if you are concerned about needing a dash cam.
It’s certainly not worth the price. I’ve had a $20 dashcam from Walmart, still looks better than the HD MIRROR CAM. Also, I’ve known a $55 dashcam ($5 more than HD MIRROR CAM), which literally the resolution of the video looks SO MUCH BETTER.

I'd wait to buy the next one hopefully with airdrop or bluetooth to upload video to cloud and/or phones, and better picture quality, but for the money doesn't look too bad. The biggest benefit would be the mirror and 360 camera.
For the cost its just fine. Not for entertainment just for proof.

how would this be different from using cell phone with a dash mount? I don't see much difference until the vehicle is unattended. also if at a car show or tailgate how easy would it be for someone to steal?

So how to view playback on a computer? I took out the memory card and inserted to my computer. I only got audio no video.

To review the video footage on the dashcam what do you put the SIM card in to look at the footage your phone
I bought one and I find it suitable for the purpose. Camera quality isn't too great, but hey, I'm not looking for the perfect snaps, I just want enough video evidence that would hold up in court should the worst come to the worst and the HD cam delivers that. Your review was excellent, and as you said, it is all in one unit and very convenient. Cheers :-)

Hi everyone. Can anyone please tell me if this mirror needs to be charged out of the box?. I tried mine today for the first time and it didn't work. There was a red and blue light at the top of the mirror that was lit up. I didn't see anything else though. Is mine broken right out of the box? Please help.
can you do the black web dash came from walmart. it is $20 and from what i seen it seems good. cheap enough to have 2
haha... seeing you on Stephanie I kept looking for my car. ;-) I just saw the infomerical on this product and yours was the first review I saw. Dash cams are a necessity here...I'm not sure if this one is good enough... especially with the traffic in Henderson/Las Vegas. I guess I will keep looking.
June 25, 2017..........What I immediately noticed is that the power cord you displayed at the beginning of this video as you mounted the HD MirrorCam over your car's rear view mirror is NOT visible along the windshield during the tv commercial. I believe the tv commercial does not fully explain the motion detecting feature, which I believe might only be able to be utilized if the DashCam is hard wired to the car..........How does the HD MirrorCam charge? Can the camera only be charged by being plugged into the car's lighter or utility outlet? My Polaroid HD DashCam PD-E53H films in 1080P. I wish there was a way to charge it inside my home by plugging it into an electric outlet or to my computer the same way I can charge my portable GPS.

Did you try watching the recorded video in the micro sd card from a computer? A lot of cameras have low resolution displays so they look like crap but they do record in in 720p hd or whatever. Just saying because a lot of people seem to be complaining about the recorded video just from the mirror itself.

Hello. Thinking about getting one. However, how does it get charged?
It seems the only good thing is that its not distracting because of its small size & lack of a mount. This is the brother of the Dash Cam Pro & they even use the same clips on the infomercial.
My dad bought me this last year and it say under my dresser in the box till today lol. I put it in my van and I like it. It did not come with the SD card but I can always buy one. I did notice that the car charger sometimes doesn't work all the time. I like it. But mine was free.
I keep saying my disc is full and it won't record I can't find anywhere where it says loop recording

I just bought one and so far, I think it would be handy if I were involved in an accident in the front of my vehicle. From watching this video review, I would have to agree that the image is not very sharp. Wondering how the video looks when the SD card in plugged into a computer. Price was certainly a good deal.
I am interested in a rear view camera because it is very likely I will get hit from the rear. I do have a rear view camera in my car but it only works when I back up. Too bad it can't record..
James, how was the quality of the unit itself....good solid construction or a POS? Does it look real bulky and stupid strapped to the mirror? Can you still get to the buttons on your original mirror? thanks, Bill
Hey Bill. I would say it's average quality. You don't really see your old mirror, so it doesn't look too bulky. I've noticed that it vibrates more than the regular mirror and there is a blue tint to it. Be sure to watch my latest round of updates ("Part 5") in which I discuss this product. Hint: It stopped working properly. :-)

Hi William, thank you for your comment! I updated the description to mention the price, which is about $50 if you buy it locally. I've only seen it at one store so far, an As Seen on TV store at a local mall. I would guess it'll be at Bed Bath and Beyond or Walmart before too long.

Very informative review. Just watched the infomercial and had to check the YT reviews. The quality is horrible and thats the most important part of a dash cam! It makes sense to save that $50 and add that to a better cam. Thanks for the video.
I liked some of the features, but the quality is pretty disappointing.
I did too! I think its a really good idea. If they could improve the camera quality, I wouldn't mind paying $100 for it. But for me, its only use would be like an "insurance" in case I get into a car accident. And I need a clear video to show my insurance company what happened. Not an outline of a car lol I need plates too. So, I appreciate this video.
will the motion detector deter or record thieves and vandals when away from car?
im curious if it has parking mode that will record while the car is park and the engine is off?
you will be lucky if it turns on when the motor is running
Theoretically. It has a motion sensor mode you can leave it in that is supposed to go on and off with motion within view, but it wasn't tested here.

Damn, didn't review this B4 buying. Tried a 256 GB SD card, won't work at all says NO CARD. Don't know if I want to try diff card or just send back.

A couple of things I noticed. With MOST Dashcams usually the monitor will shut off after a few seconds to prevent drivers from watching it as they drive but from what you posted it doesn't look like this one does that. 2nd is that I agree with you regarding the lack of definition especially at night. HD it is not. I do like the convenience of it being an all-in-one and it not taking up much more space on my windshield. I also like this particular product because of the swivel camera. I know you mentioned that it would be good to use for back seat passengers but I was also thinking of when I might get stopped by an officer or something. I can record our interaction. Not that this occurs much in my world.
It does have some nice features. If only the quality were a little better...
since you seem to go out of your way to honor our requests for products I felt it necessary to follow up on one my original complaints above. I have since gotten this camera which I bought from a 3rd party seller on Walmart.com. Yes, The Video resolution needs improvement but the convenience of this device is well worth it. I noticed in your video that at night the display screen was on which definitely is a distraction while driving and using the mirror and perhaps distracting to drivers behind us. Also, right here on You Tube I watched the Infomercial about the camera and they boast that there's a setting to hide the screen (which I couldn't find) so I contacted inventel on their web site. Low and behold they called me back the next day (just minutes ago) and the gentleman said that I can hide the display screen using settings. If I set SLEEP MODE to 1 minute that should hide the display and if I wanted to view the display again during that session all I would have to do is press either one of the arrow buttons to make it re-appear.
When I watched their infomercial, it said that the display on the mirror can be turned off.
Very good job with the review, not so much for the dashcam. It would have been nice if you had traveled the same route both day and night for comparison. I literally just bought one from Walmart, now I'm thinking about taking it back to Walmart🤷🏽♂️.🤔
I was looking for actual instructions as opposed to how it worked for you. I already know how it works but need more instructions what all the buttons do. I lost the manual. My big concern is to how to not have the little video box on all the time and how to turn that off
What about recording what's behind the car? and what about snap shots, if someone is following you?
All you can do is turn it to face backward. Most of the screen will be taken up by the back seat, though. I doubt you'd get enough detail to get a license plate.
What is the classification of the memory card that you used? Did you use a memory card that was rated for 720p video?
Did you know that you needed to? I'll be looking for a more thorough review.
The memory card classifications are more about the data transfer rate capability than the resolution of the video. I recall seeing that a class 10 memory card is needed.

Looks like you have to be very close to another vehicle to read license plates with the forward camera.
Did the backup camera reading license plates behind you that well.

You mentioned yours came with an 8GB micro SD card. Well, they're not "coming" with that anymore. The manuals state, several times in fact, that the SD card IS NOT INCLUDED. Just a heads up.

Glad I found this video before deciding to buy one. The infomercial I saw on TV now seems like it was very misleading.
I appreciate the review I just saw the infomercial on TV this morning. it does have its good qualities and bad. my one question is why not have the camera actually record what is happening in front and behind. it seems that it would benefit in case of multiple car accident. for example: if someone were to hit you from behind you would then hit the person in front of you and in the end have evidence that you did not cause the initial accident. I wonder if they even thought of that coming from personal experience having something like this does have its benefits just wish they would have invented it a little bit earlier thanks again
also you are correct that that should not be called HD especially for the nighttime vision I still no difference and other so yeah I think it would be difficult to drive at night and have evidence in case something were to happen is there a feature to where you can turn off the actual display screen to where it wouldn't be such a distraction?
They do have small 360 @ cameras out. Samsung 360. Probably in future all the cars will have them installed. Great for accidents, but than again people won't like it because they will be getting caught.
What do you plug it into? Can it only run if your car is running?
It does have a battery, but I found it easier to just to leave it plugged into the 12v input.

I got 2 of these at a yard sale for $2 bucks total😎 I think the daytime quality is sufficient enough to record in case of something crazy when my wife drives

Yes it should be LCD cam. Its not HD & don't want something distracting me at night. But I am looking for a good quality one
The video quality doesn't seem great, but seeing things like cell phone camera footage or the countless traffic videos in Europe/Russia since they require the dash cams in a lot of places, it's still a lot better then that grainy mess of 360p black and white video.
Seeing the price in the comments, it doesn't seem "that bad" really.
I'd say that's a pretty fair assessment. I'll probably keep using it, mainly because it works automatically.

OMG!! At $20, that thing would be overpriced!! For $50, you can get a much better cheap dashcam that will record in 1080p. Almost anything would be better than that!!

did you test out the motion detector? they claim, that it this device turns on automatically if it detects someone walking past the car when parked and turned off.
If the motion feature is anything like my Polaroid HD DashCam PD-E53H,
I believe it needs to be hard wired to the car. I'm curious to find out too.
EJ Ioane doesn't work. Tried it a few different ways but the camera doesn't turn on when I walk or dance in front of the camera.
Maybe the dashcam requires music to dance along to.
Video quality not what the T.V. add depicts, what a surprise! But they almost had me. Thanks for the review. Good overall design and features but not really ready yet.
