Hi Kelly! I am a 61 year young thru hiking enthusiast. I live in spain and in march 2020 set off on the camino de santiago (via de la plata route) including finisterre. Its a tough 1200 kilometres route accross central spain. I was 250 miles in and covid happened and the camino closed i was devastated. However this October im going again. I just wanted to tell you your journey is inspiring me. You are a free spirit who goes with the flow and enjoys every moment. But you also put the hard work in when you need to. I just wanted to say thanks and good luck. I will continue to watch and be inspired by you. Much love and luck to you
With all the negative media out there its easy to forget that this country has so many wonderful people who just like to help and inspire us. Thank you for sharing and reminding us of all the "Mama Bears" on the Trail of Life!

Hey 9 lives... Your interview with Miss Donna of the Mama Bears was the ornament of this video. It's so uplifting to see people like that who love the world of nature and the hikers who have immersed themselves into it. Hope you'll do more interviews as you're an excellent interviewer who has gained so much respect on the trail that people are comfortable talking to you. Wouldn't interviews with the folks at the ATC in Harpers Ferry be a real treat?

I’ve binged your entire AT hike in last 2 weeks, so now I hate waiting for more videos!!! I actually can hear sound of your feet as meditation. I used to have a song (random ones) stuck in my head all day, so it’s nice to hear footsteps on trail instead. That could be made into meditation track w the rivers, birds, etc.
Sending your grandma an actual post card was so much more meaningful than the alternatives! That was amazing!

Morning Kelly! Welcome to 2 months on trail! Simply amazing! Looked like a great zero and an even better Nero! I just love the postcards. I plan on sending myself postcards when I take my thru hike. I did it on a trip to Montana I did once and I found it a great way to journal. Huge thank you to the Momma Bears. You are a beautiful group and what you do is so inspirational. What a great interview. The mama bear was so right on. I love hiking the Colorado Trail near my home just to talk to the people on the trail and hear their stories. Like a community of ants moving down the trail.

You are getting close to my stomping grounds! Me and my albino lab Sarge hike the trail most weekends MD is a tough start up weaverton cliffs with an awesome view, make sure you catch that blue trail but the rest of the state is a breeze like 2 days to PA

Soak your feet in warm/hot water and Epson salt at night as much as possible. I work on my feet alot and it really helps

46 mins. Is that a fogbow ? Skies look too clear to have rained. I got a picture of one in Big Meadows one year when I was camped there. Sun reflecting off the early morning fog.
