Hi; I just bought the tablet, and straight out of the box I upgraded to Android 10. After the upgrade I looked for the Netflix app, but it wasn't there. I installed it. Even on a "clean" Android 10 and a "clean" Netflix there's no HD support. So now you know :-) Thank God it isn't really important to me. If I watch Netflix on a 10 inch screen, SD is good enough, and if I watch it anywhere else, I don't use the tablet. But it is really strange that there is no HD support, and for some it could be a deal breaker.
Can Lenovo fix Netflix FHD streaming with a new firmware? Same issue with Amazon Prime Video streaming. The hardware does support FHD. Why not enable it Lenovo?

The only problem I am finding is the battery runs out a bit too quickly , I guess in the lockdown I am watching too many videos. The one plus above everyone's tablet, iPad 2017 included, is the beautiful loud sound, the loudest I have ever come across. The stand is handy but can also be in the way, it needs getting used too, I do not take pictures with a tablet, I use it mainly at home. I would have focused mainly on the selfie camera rather. All in all a very good tablet.
You show a USB-C hub connected but you don't discuss this at all. You show this only in the part where you also show a keyboard, but I don't understand whether the hub has something to do with connecting the keyboard. A super-important feature for me would be the ability to connect an HDMI external monitor via the USB-C hub - but there is no discussion of whether the tablet supports this or any other video output via the USB-C port (many devices support only charging via their USB-C ports). I can't find reliable info about this anywhere.

Finally reliable review of 1 of all underrated Lenovo Yogas. But hey, fcuk the netflix and games. I am looking for older and cheaper tablet manly for Internet reading and watching. Yoga Tab 11 would be good and fresh but a bit to big, athough still usable due to grip part. I think this 10 inch one may be just perfect by its optimal size. I am fine with Androids 10-12 and X705 was updated to 10. Im seriously thinking of giving it a try still in 2024.

I can confirm that now Netflix is not installed. ANYWAY, I can confirm that Netflix is NOT in HD yet. Don't know what's the problem with Lenovo, they're unable to release a single tablet that's compatible with Netflix HD. I'll have to return the tablet.

I have had many Samsung tablets over the years too. Any updates are rare for them too. Maybe there are some that got two updates, but I can tell you that I have had some that have had none. The only tablets that I have had that have consistent updates is Google.

But while I was thinking about getting one click better, there were 3 alternatives. Huawei MatePad 11, lenovo p11 and ipad 9th gen. Their prices are similar... Since I use Android devices in general, I wasn't sure about the iPad. Also, the memory of the 64 gb one is low compared to the others... What would you suggest?

Tablet without drm1 is like a cae without wheels. Even worst that you have Netflix installed.... I have a Yoga Tab 3 Plus, is a great form factor but Lenovo updates and support just ruin the hardware.
I have had it for almost 2 years The best part is speakers and built-in kickstand and you can hang it on the wall However, processor sucks. It cannot handle 1080p60 UA-cam
Depends on how much you want to spend. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 with a Bluetooth keyboard (cheapest option), Apple iPad 7 with Keyboard Folio or Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e with Keyboard (mid-range option) or the iPad Pro 2020 (expensive option). All of them run Microsoft Office well. If you need to do other computer-like tasks you could also check out the Lenovo IdeaPad D330, Microsoft Surface Go and Microsoft Surface Pro 6/7 if you prefer a Windows tablet. I've got videos of all of them ;)

I have a lenova tab pro 3 bought new in 2017. It was never a gaming tablet but you could play pokimon go a little at home. By 2018 after multiple factory reinstalls it still runs very slowly when scrolling making it useless at best as a google searcher and even the apk of pokimon go doesn't work. 2 years later there is no software suport so shame on lenova. Love design as I feel all tablets should have built in stands and not type covers. Sadly I can't rwcoment this as software with lenova is a hample after a short time and yet I'm gona buy this one and hope. At 200 pounds it's not a risk like my yooga tab pro 3 cost was.

I had 1st yoga and still have the yoga 3 talets all 8´´ and they worked fine, 1st one broke the yoga 3 still on, but with time it became useless with lack of performance!!!...practically after 3 years before buying there is no more patience for every day usage!!! factory reset do nothing to restore performance, had to buy the tab4 :(

I have a lenova tab pro 3 bought new in 2017. It was never a gaming tablet but you could play pokimon go a little at home. By 2018 after multiple factory reinstalls it still runs very slowly when scrolling making it useless at best as a google searcher and even the apk of pokimon go doesn't work. 2 years later there is no software suport so shame on lenova. Love design as I feel all tablets should have built in stands and not type covers. Sadly I can't rwcoment this as software with lenova is a hample after a short time and yet I'm gona buy this one and hope. At 200 pounds it's not a risk like my yooga tab pro 3 cost was.

This tab has huge potential, only if this could increase size up to 10.5-11.00 inches and could move to Windows OS. Not useless without them too.
this tablet is very good for the price, below 300$ for more feature get something more pricey.
Hi. Loved this review as I was planning to buy but now I'm doubtful. Other than ipad, which tablet with a good battery life do you recommend for a student for reading books, papers and writing notes?
For the price point i would go with a Samsung TabS6 Lite....
I had 1st yoga and still have the yoga 3 talets all 8´´ and they worked fine, 1st one broke the yoga 3 still on, but with time it became useless with lack of performance!!!...practically after 3 years before buying there is no more patience for every day usage!!! factory reset do nothing to restore performance, had to buy the tab4 :(
