Real nice job Vince What I do sometimes if the bib is a little tighter to the wall is take my cordless sawsall and just rip right through the hose bib close to where the end of the copper is that way you dont have the water to contend with and it unsweats easily . Then since I dont own and have never used a jet sweat I ll take a shop vac in this case over to the other hose bib and suck the water away from where Im soldering if water still dosent stop coming out Ill actually have left it run while soldering I did a lot of new construction but a lot of jobs of my own for decades but honestly I just dont buy a lot of tools especially since Im just shy of 68yo . I do keep a small stock of fittings and a compression bib aint a bad Idea also a few split ring plastic escuttions .
@@jeffreyplumber1975 this is how we all learn sharing ideas another thing that I will do is stuffed bread if the tenant is home you ask him for a piece of bread and you do it up and shove it in the pipe just to get the water to stop for about at least 2 minutes it'll actually plug that copper up and then you just open the valve and blow the bread right out without putting a hose bib on it You just open and shut it The reason why I didn't take a sawzall to that was if you notice how loose the pipe was in the wall I mean that was my whole issue was how loose that pipe was floating in the wall so I was afraid to take anything other than a grinder but yes I normally do cut half of the hose bib off or I drill a hole in it at the same time either or but those are all great ideas you have thank you for watching and thank you for sharing.
That’s the first time that I have seen that tool for keeping water from cooling the joint. What’s the name of the tool? I am on old school bread guy; but, that doesn’t always work. Nice job!! Thanks for sharing.
@@vince6829 it is called jet set You can find them on Amazon as well I bought the three pack which does 1/2 in 3/4 in and 1 in I have no need for the bigger ones. Hope this helps thank you for watching and commenting
It's exactly what the person said that replied it just sweat keeps the water back and gives you time to solder it'll actually give you all data solder thank you for watching and commenting.
This is why you hire a licensed plumber! I don't see any reason for cutting or soldering! Back wrench off and back wrench on. Didn't even have to turn my truck off.

I appreciate the level of effort y’all put into each job ensuring things are done the right way and everything looks nice and clean!

Thank you for the information.
Found it. It’s called Jet Swet. Thanks again.
@vince6829 anytime Vince anytime you have a question just let me know.
@vince6829 anytime.
What is that you put @13:00 what does that do.
It's a Jet Swet. It has a rubber seal that expands when he turns the handle. It seals the pipe and keeps any water from running out while soldering.
It's exactly what the person said that replied it just sweat keeps the water back and gives you time to solder it'll actually give you all data solder thank you for watching and commenting.

I don't understand your comment, please explain what you mean.
In the video, the old hose bib was soldered on. How can you wrench that off?
Don't quite understand what's your comment is.
