It's misleading for binance to call these selections "transfer networks", as if you're just choosing the path, and not choosing a different asset all together. This is a serious problem.

No wonder it can go wrong when you can choose from 3 different networks (BEP2, BEP20 and ERC20) - by default you (of course) go with the cheapest one before you actually understand it completely :) I tried to send ETH to my hardware wallet (Ledger Nano S) over BSC - I ended up recovering the ETH with your guide - great way to learn :D The transaction fees on binance are outrageous!

You will need to use the old (compromised) seed to access those funds. (Though depending on how your account was compromised they might get instantly taken too)

Boom, another person helped from this video!!! Sent Sushi (BEP20) from Trust Wallet to Ledger Wallet ETH (ERC20) address...lost in limbo. Funds recovered back to Trust wallet using this video! The funds were safe in Ledger apparently but with no easy way to access them. Fortunately with the Ledger, you control the private keys. Another + for hardware wallets vs exchanges. Can't imagine the headache there would be if an exchange was involved. Thanks again!

Ah ! I understand what you mean.. because in Coinbase I don’t really own my private keys ? (And if it was in the app coinbase wallet, it would have worked as I would have owned my keys with this app.. and from what I understand you need to own the private keys, and if it’s the exchange who owns them it doesn’t work) That’s what you mean ? Coinbase support doesn’t help me. But can I try to ask them for my private keys ? Maybe they gonna give me. And if I get them maybe I can use your strategy with metamask to recover them ?
Yep, this is a no-your-keys, not-your-coins situation. If coinbase support won't help then that's it. (They will certainly not give out any private keys)

i am happy i found your video, it helped me so much, i made that mystake to withdraw my SHIBA INU from Binance to Binance smart chain and couldn't see them.. since they are ERC-20. So i had to connect my Binance smart chaine wallet to metamask to finally see them. I presum, the next step would be to send back my SHIBA INU to binance, then from binance to withrdraw to metamask but this time.. CHOOSING ETHEREUM network. if you see any other possibility, i ll be glad to hear.

Sorry, would you have received the binance Btc if you sent it into the bep20 address rather than the Erc20 token address? Since its a binance btc token ? Or is it because we are using the etherium network from ledger, then the receiving address would have to be an erc20 recieving address under btc instead?
BSC is just a low effort Eth clone, so every Eth address is also valid on the BSC network... Basically it will have been sent on whichever network you selected when you did the withdrawal from Binance.

You need to make sure that you are sending both a supported token AND on a supported network. If you send to Kucoin using like the Binance Smart Chain, the funds will be lost... You likely need to send an ERC20 token...

No, there is no way to recover funds from an address that you don't have the private keys for. You need to work out where you got the address from and contact the owner.

Your deposit address balance isn't the same as your exchange balance. Deposits will be received in your account shortly after you send them there, but after that may simply stay there, or be moved to an internal Binance hot wallet at any time. (And this won't change your actual exchange however l balance)

Hi there, so I accidentally sent some of my BNB to my Trust Wallet, but after sending on receive the BNB that I picked was apparently an ERC20 address. So after that I logged into MyEther with my Trust Wallet. I changed the Network to Bscscan as u mentioned in the video. After it changed I can see my BNB balance which was wonderful. It's misleading for binance to call these selections "transfer networks", as if you're just choosing the path, and not choosing a different asset all together. This is a serious problem.

You will need to use the old (compromised) seed to access those funds. (Though depending on how your account was compromised they might get instantly taken too)

Boom, another person helped from this video!!! Sent Sushi (BEP20) from Trust Wallet to Ledger Wallet ETH (ERC20) address...lost in limbo. Funds recovered back to Trust wallet using this video! The funds were safe in Ledger apparently but with no easy way to access them. Fortunately with the Ledger, you control the private keys. Another + for hardware wallets vs exchanges. Can't imagine the headache there would be if an exchange was involved. Thanks again!

So i had to connect my Binance smart chaine wallet to metamask to finally see them. if etherscan and bscscan doesn't find your ERC20 transaction what do you do. bscbscan finds my bep20 though

Sorry, would you have received the binance Btc if you sent it into the bep20 address rather than the Erc20 token address? Since its a binance btc token ? Or is it because we are using the etherium network from ledger, then the receiving address would have to be an erc20 recieving address under btc instead?
BSC is just a low effort Eth clone, so every Eth address is also valid on the BSC network... Basically it will have been sent on whichever network you selected when you did the withdrawal from Binance.

1) I transfered my ETH from Binance to Coinbase via BSC. Would you think that following your method would work?
2) Following the MEW method i can't add custom tokens because the TOKEN icon is missing somewhere. Is it due to the fact that i do not use crypto hardware and try this solution via website browser login?

When you say coinbase, do you mean the wallet/exchange or this exact app here: wallet.coinbase.com/
@@CryptoGuide the wallet/exchange. However i connected the wallet/exchange to the app you are talking about. Than i used the set phrase from the app to import it to Metamask as u describe in Method 3, but unfortunately Metamask does not detect the tokens. And the things is that i see the Token in bscscan as u talk about at the beginning when showing them in bscscan...

Yep, you need to send some BNB to the address that the pegged tokens are stuck.

hey crypto guide. thx for the video. but the situation that i stupidly put myself in was: i transferd x amount of ethereum from binance to coinbase pro adress.....using a BEP20 network.....i found out that coinbase didnt support that....so i tried the second method via metamask. i added the binance smart chain network. then later the pegged binance token contract to my metamask walllet and as you showed indeed in figure it out the decimals and the symbols. but...the balance is 0 and not my X amount..... can you help me ? many thx

You need to make sure that you are sending both a supported token AND on a supported network. If you send to Kucoin using like the Binance Smart Chain, the funds will be lost... You likely need to send an ERC20 token...

No, there is no way to recover funds from an address that you don't have the private keys for. You need to work out where you got the address from and contact the owner.

Hello, On bscscan my Binance wallet address says that I have 1 BNB, but on Binance under Fiat and Spot section I don't have that amount.
Your deposit address balance isn't the same as your exchange balance. Deposits will be received in your account shortly after you send them there, but after that may simply stay there, or be moved to an internal Binance hot wallet at any time. (And this won't change your actual exchange however l balance)

You just need to fund the address with some BNB

Hi there, so I accidentally sent some of my BNB to my Trust Wallet, but after sending on receive the BNB that I picked was apparently an ERC20 address. So after that I logged into MyEther with my Trust Wallet. I changed the Network to Bscscan as u mentioned in the video. After it changed I can see my BNB balance which was wonderful.
But whenever I try to send the BNB to my Binance wallet, I keep seeing that I want to transfer Ethereum on my Trust Wallet and not BNB..
So it obviously tell me that u don't have enough ethereum to send the transaction.
I don't know what do? I can clearly see my BNB balance on MyEther, but whenever I want to send the some/whole balance to my Binance account, it keeps showing Ethereum on my Trust Wallet, as I made a mistake by sending BNB to a ERC20 in my Trust Wallet.

Just enable smart chain in trust wallet and your funds will be there.

What if it was sent to someone elses eth address. I tried to mint an NFT and didn't realize that Meta mask auto filled the transaction request with BNB instead of ETH.
The only person who can recover the funds is the one who controls the address you sent it to.
