Yup, fast flashing red light on the ESC means it's dead. That's what mine did in my Outcast. I put a Hobbywing Max6 in it and it works great. Also, get an aluminum servo mount when you buy a new servo for that Kraton. It will help the servo last longer.
@@davisa30 I wasn't sure what was wrong with it so I brought it to my local hobby shop and they plugged a program card in to it and the ESC was fried. It wouldn't go in to program mode or anything. They tried to factory reset it and tinkered with it for almost an hour. Arrma wouldn't warranty it either. When I told them I was launching it off snow banks and landing it in a foot of snow they said those weren't "normal" driving conditions. I was pissed. But the Max6 turned out to be a way better ESC so I was kind of glad they didn't give me a new one.
oh ok, thanks! I guess I can get rid of them. It's frustrating to not be able to fix the ESC's when you can almost fix anything else that breaks on an RC. @@paultro8457
Doesnt matter. Nothing compares to an rpm modded traxxas. Need flex metal bends unless you got 600 in upgrades on the arrma to withstand up to 70 foot jumps what he did is about it for shock on electronics
Nick Stalker to be fair the traxxas driveshafts bend but I get exactly what ur saying not here to take you literally on everything. Basically it comes down to this: if you want more durability with minimal upgrades go with traxxas. If you want maximum durability and have lots of money to spend go for arrma.

The Arrma servo’s are garbage. Have replaced all of mine at this point with Savox 1210. Also replaced the servo mounts as well. Made a massive difference. Arrma should warranty your esc however. Should be ok there. Good vid Kev👍👍

Been watching some older RC videos lately, came across this one. Ive had this same thing happen on just one of my 3 Arrma 6S ESCs as well and I wanted to let you know what was up. So the weak point on these ESCs is the BEC Cable, the cable that plugs into the receiver. I noticed after taking my truck apart and putting it back together a few times, bending that BEC cable a few times to get it back into place after a rebuild causes an internal short or breakage, whatever you wanna call it. Put simply, as I wiggled the BEC cable back and forth, the ESC light would go from blinking to getting a signal and responding again, and back and forth. The cable is weak and the wire broke internally. I really wish manufactures would make BEC cables plug in at both ends so you could replace it. I think they don't do this because it would make the design harder to waterproof and therefore more expensive to make.

If you send that one jump you were talking about the video might get you to a million subs Also the blinking light on the esc I believe is the receiver. My Typhon v3 did the same thing
Pretty sure that's only the internal BEC that's dead on the ESC. Plug in a Castle BEC and remove the red wire from the ESC plug, pretty sure it will work again !
Any idea what causes that to fail? Maybe when the servo died/locked up and he was trying to turn it overloaded it? I'm using the internal with a savox 1210SG servo which draws a lot more power than the stock servo in my outcast. So far, so good. Have had it for 5 months or so.
Yes the speed limits here in the US are painfully slow 😥😥😥. 55 mph or less in most places. The sad part is it doesn't feel like you're actually getting anywhere until your driving at least 70 mph. But then there is that speeding ticket risk factor. Really frustrating

Paultro 84 same thing happened to mine, but arrma is great and they replaced it for me and got it to me within 2 days !

the esc in the arrma is a hobbywing quicrun 150 amp 6s
