Quite a good song! I have never ever heard the song before but I can understand its message. For many in Post-Soviet countries, life in the USSR were the 'good old days'. I am not a communist per say, nor am I strongly supportive of the USSR, but I have witnessed many who wish the return of the Soviet Union. Certainly, it was not as golden as presented. However, it was an era that people still cherish to this day. Even though living standards have improved in most post-Soviet countries - reaching their Soviet era levels, this has not significantly dented the nostalgia many hold on to. This is a thing many in the United States and the West fail to comprehend. As much as the USSR was a 'totalitarian' state, a majority of its citizens were generally supportive of the USSR. For them, the fall of the USSR was not the liberation from the 'tyranny of Communism', rather it was the start of a long painful decade. PS: This is perhaps not applicable to the Baltic states and maybe Georgia (not sure about it tbh). However, this nostalgia is still alive in most post-Soviet countries.
The Baltic States is reasonable, they were independent for a decade until the Soviets brought them under the fold, which explains why the soviet era is seen badly there, plus their economy improved since.
I can say, after watching NFKRZ's videos on the Soviet Union and Yeltsin's Russia, this song makes sense. Well, mr SalveTheRunner, have you watched them? It's a pretty good insight videos

They should be, they are patriotic songs after all so I don’t think the original would get angry (reason they might be dead by now) but its probably only copyright when the songs are sung by like a famous singer or by a major band. Btw people like ingen post songs like these all the time and he’s been doing it for years so there’s probably nothing to be afraid of! :)
@@SalveTheRunner Perhaps I am paranoid, but I am scared of recieving a copyright strike. Although I want to use patriotic songs in my videos, I have been bitting my nails over this. I hope you are correct tho.
