    This is not the right demo for advanced player. Shuttle is at center court and any intermediate player can clear from this position. Also these shuttles can be easily played with a round the head shot. Real challenge in backhand clear will come when shuttle is at the rear end on the last line and player is bit late to take round the head. That makes sense to say it's for advanced players.

    It’s is very hard to find the perfect swing! That one satisfying swing can change my whole game. Help me find it correctly. I practiced a lot but I loose my stability after each forward swing. My elasticity is much slower than before. Since playing for around 8 years.

      A satisfactory swing is very difficult. As time passes, my physicality also changes. So you have to practice constantly.
      thanks for the comment

    Look at the Coach's rocket angle and player rocket angle, grip. You should swing rocket like cutting tree from down and then rotate it. Watch 3:00

    Good video! I have a question. Stretching the body like this works well for me, but only when I am in the same position as in the video -- which is quite far forward. From here it is easy to get enough power. Normally when I need to play a backhand, I am pushed into the back corner instead. I have to turn my body into the corner and sometimes hit the shuttle when it is behind me. I would be interested in your ideas for this position. It's more difficult, but also more useful. Very often in this position, I can feel the shuttle is "pushed" like you said in the video.

    • @full-swing
      @full-swing  Рік тому +23

      1. There is no one way to hit a late backhand well. Because of the unfavorable situation, you have to accept shots that are shorter or slower than usual.
      2. The more you bend your legs, the better. That way you don't have to bend your upper body down.
      3. You don't have to work intensively on the late backhand. That situation doesn't come up often, and it's better not to create it.
      4. When you practice your normal backhand clear, the shuttlecock often goes past you. No one does that unintentionally. Even in those few cases, it's enough practice. don't do too much
      5. Only one type of stroke does not improve rapidly. Backhand drive, backhand clear, backhand push, etc... As the basic backhand becomes stronger, the late backhand technique naturally improves.

      @@full-swing Thank you, great answer! I like point (2) especially. I agree it's not good to practise "very late" backhand clear, I just like to practise the type of backhand that comes up often in games.

    한코치님 스윙을 보면 팔이 앞으로 많이 안 나가고 JW님은 팔이 앞으로 많이 나가는 걸로 보여요. 그래서 한코치님은 라켓속도를 빠르게 해서 임팩트 있게 치는 거고 JW님은 팔이 많이 나가는 만큼 팔에 힘이 들어가고 라켓 헤드 속도는 상대적으로 느려지는 거 아닐까 생각이 되네요. 몸을 쭉 펴는 게 포인트군요!

    • @full-swing
      @full-swing  Рік тому +1

      그렇습니다. 오버스윙하지 않고, 몸전체 탄성을 이용하고..
      물론 이 정도 치니까 이렇게 알려주는 거고요, 초중급자에겐 힘빼고 라켓 던지는 것부터 알려주시지요.

    the student doesn't use loose grip. the key to execute powerful backhand clear is a loose grip, dynamic movement with palm and fingers, relax..from foot to your palm/fingers. body chain movement

    "If the swing is too fast, it will be pushed" : By "pushed" does he mean that the shuttle will not go high and far, but instead low and flatter (making it easier for the opponent to kill it)?

    • @full-swing
      @full-swing  Рік тому

      Yes. It becomes an overswing and unnecessary force is applied to the shuttlecock. At this time, your racquet grip is heavy and feels bad.
      Your hands can honestly feel. A clean shot and a non-clean shot.

    A good coach is able to break down a stroke's dynamics into distinct constituent parts and emphasise which step is crucial so that a student can replicate with enough practice on coordination and timing. My opinion is that this coach did none of the above.

    • @full-swing
      @full-swing  Рік тому +2

      So you are a beginner...
      Badminton is not analysis, it is repetitive practice to make it boring. Badminton is not played with the mouth.
