well I used a bunch of timelines and combined them together for the final work and somehow the finished product got jacked up. Apologies. A damn shame for how much work went into this dang thing.
I really appreciate it. I did not realize the video didn't render properly and I have been really broken hearted about how it turned out since I deleted all my footage thinking my work was done. I'm glad some one got some entertainment out of it as this video was truly a lot of work and it was really important to me to make a video impressing my pure love of this game and series as a whole. Thank you for your time.
i loved it, thanks mate i was close to finish the a route, but i stopped like 8 months ago, and this video really helped me to remember the story, you are a underrated legend
STAY proud of this video, my guy. The level of willpower and work ethic to do longform game analysis of ANY game/series is borderline fucking paralyzing to me, let alone a series like Nier. Pre-remake Replicant/Gestalt is like a watercolor triptych painted on the rusted engine block of a Model T
Thank you for your kind words. I am still proud of it as it took so much work to complete, but at the same time that is exactly why the rendering errors cut me so deep. Every project on UA-cam teaches me more and more lessons. This lesson would be that I have to watch all my completed renders in their entirety before uploading and certainly before I delete my footage. Comments like yours give me enthusiasm to continue making these in my spare time and I appreciate it.
Not only did you do a wonderful job of explaining the game, but I really appreciated how I could literally feel the pure love and joy this game brought you.
Thanks for this! I was so happy to stumble upon a Nier related video and especially one that’s this long. It’s a shame that the cutscenes audio got messed up but at least the parts where you’re speaking - which is most of the video- is fine. You did a really good job.
I very much appreciate the positivity. I have been pretty beat up by that video rendering messed up so it's nice to have people getting something out of it in spite of it's flaws.
Fun fact: a version of Ending E already existed as a novel. It's not the only example of lore and even bonus endings in outside content- there's a whole bunch of content for Nier Automata too. Neat stuff!
Was that novel written by yoko taro? If not, then I can technically say that my fan fiction statement was true. After the fact I felt like that sounded like I was being overly negative in that whole segment. I liked that ending even if it didn't linger with me the same as the original very bitter ending. I like that as a wrap up more as time rolls on.
@SheperGames ok, did some googling. The story adapted into Ending E is part of a Japan-released book called Grimoire NieR, which serves as a strategy and world guide for the game. So, I can't say if Yoko Taro wrote it, but it does exist as an extension of official content, and it existed before the remake. There's all sorts of neat things like this for Nier Automata, too, like the stage plays (one of which is of A2's backstory from the Resistance Camp terminals!). I got my initial info from watching Clemps' series on Nier and Drakengard. I just think this stuff is really cool! Lots of rabbit holes to go down.
@arcaneScribbler man tons of people have informed me of things from this side content. Some day I'm gonna invest the time and or money to investigate these materials. I like to talk about games in general based on the context within those games. Not that I don't find value in this side content, but it should always be supplemental (which I think is true of the nier universe). In nier, these materials add flavor to the universe, but the games have everything required to have a complete understanding of the story. I love some of these teases that people have informed me of. Thank you.
Great video man, I’ve already played and completed Nier Replicant and Automata. I just wanted to hear another person’s take on the story, I have to say listening to both your Nier videos was 6 hours time well spent. Automata is my second favorite game with Bloodborne taking the number 1 spot, but thank you for taking the time to create this and have a great one.
Great video! I've always wondered what the Replicant games were like after playing Automata. Honestly, the audio problems weren't bad at all, as every scene with it had subtitles so we didn't miss a thing. Thanks for making this!
i'll be honest, the issues with audio are very annoying, well. That's it in the problem side. Your voiceover is outstanding in the storyteller side of things, the gigantic extension of the video is indeed quite intimidating, but it was an awesome experience. Continue with the good work. You earned a new subscribe
You can't imagine the immeasurable disappointment I felt when I found out it rendered wrong. I uploaded the video and deleted all my footage to make room for the next game to play. My friend politely told me something was wrong with the audio. Goddammit it broke my heart. I almost deleted it and considered stopping with these projects at all. In the end I learned a valuable lesson about video production. It literally took me hundreds of hours to get this video sorted. Once it finished rendering, I didn't consider watching to see if everything turned out right. I will always do so now, even if that means having to listen to my dumb voice for even longer haha. Thank you for stopping by and giving me some encouragement. Nier automata rendered fine, even if I still struggle to speak at times haha.
Yoko taro made my heart bleed. I have 2 endings so far on replicant. I started nier automata and both games are so smooth and beautifully constructed. I APPRECIATE YOU FOR EXPRESSING YOUR LOVE OF THIS GAME. I preach it to anyone that'll listen
Thank you for this video. Don’t worry about the technical audio issue, it happens. The important thing is you made this wonderful video. I’ve listened to it in its entirety, as well as the Nier Automata video (twice actually, over some months). Your work is excellent and really appreciated
I just finished Nier Replicant and was absolutely blown away. I love media analysis so I've been absolutely devouring any Nier content I could find on UA-cam , and after the first few minutes I think this is that video I've been looking for this whole time.
hey, just wanted to say that I watched both your Replicant and Automata videos. have heart that despite the bad render for this one, we appreciate your hard work. also, that both videos have a place amid all the other Nier videos. I like your detailed breakdown of the story and going through each of the endings. I am glad you didn't just delete the video despite how disappointed you were. keep on trucking, my dude! oh, also, the algorithm did right by recommending this video!
Thank you for the kind words and thank you for taking the time to watch my videos. The replicant one was truly disheartening but it just took so much darn time to want to delete it. The positivity I have received has kept me going.
Theres a bit of the fighting gameplay inside your house after beating ending A that gives you a taste of gestalt with 3 doors you go through its how you get a weapon.
I played this game (and unlocked all achievements!) because of this video. Such a wonderful experience. I’m excited to dive into Automata soon! Thank you for convincing me to finally pick these games up :)
This is my favorite comment I've ever received on this platform. Your response is 100 percent my dream come true. All I wanted with my nier videos was to inspire people to find the same appreciation for these games that I have. Thank you so much.
@@shepergames3734 Late response but, I’m really glad I could make you happy! You’re the one who put in all the hard work to make a three hour video, so I’m the one who should be grateful, haha :) I’m back here because I’m about to watch your SOMA video and remembered this one. I’ll probably rewatch this one at some point as well. I just love passionate video essays I guess 😅
Thank you so much for this video. I can only imagine the amount of work you put in to do a 3 hour video. I stopped at ending B because I wasn't willing to play the game a 3rd time. Thanks to you I got to see the other endings.
I dont blame you. When I played the original I recommended my friends play it twice and UA-cam the other 2 endings if they weren't completionists. This game at least is nice enough to give you more content to reward the super committed player. It is hard to recommend some one play the exact same content over and over with no variation even if I was committed enough to do it.
your opening monologue makes you my spirit animal man i keep searching for my own second game for years now as well Stop downing your abilitiys of making a video, you do enough to make them worth the watch. looking forward to watching more. kudos
Thanks. That video rendered all awful, too. It was a rookie mistake. At least i had the nier automata video for my redemption arc lol. I'm glad you had that sense of kinship. I write the scripts down and they sound good in my head voice but then when I go to read them, I bumble and stumble and I feel like an idiot. Nonetheless, I try and place intent in my words and I'm glad you could find that intent. Thank you for spending your time on my misguided projects.
As someone who originally didn’t know you messed up, I thought the audio was for copyright reasons 😭 but cheers for this video, I’m sure everyone that watched it including myself enjoyed it
Amazing video - exactly what I was looking for! I beat the first route, but it's been 1?2? years since then and I want to do the follow up runs, but needed a recap - this was perfect! Also, I LOVE how the first time the game audio recording works is for Kaine's cursing 🤣
I just finished this game and i love it. I'm going to replay nier Automata a second time so i can fully understand the references and story. I really like this video. You can really ignore the audio issues for how much effort went into this. I'm definitely going to watch your video on nier Automata.
Thank you very much. Thankfully my automata video did not have any audio issues save for the fact that you still have to listen to my voice haha. I'm glad you found some value out of it as it was very time consuming and both my Nier videos were passion projects as I love both games dearly.
I work for fedex and i shit you not the nier automata /replicant sountrack by keichi otabe is always on my run through. This is how I deliver your packages.
Can definitely tell you weren't used to this when you made this video, but that doesn't matter. The fact you tried is more than most would do. Great video. The video I've been looking for.
Oh my god!!!! I just realized this is connected to Drakengard. You have too play that series! If you’ve energetic played it. Just. Whoa. Also you never touch in the prequel or unrelated Nier game released in North America for PS3 do you? I am officially buying Nier automata and Control next month. Also I am researching the people who made this game. The writing is amazing. Like. I never would have imagined so good.
@@alexguy8960 as I said in my video. I absolutely love nier and nier automata and they are 2 of my favorite games of all time. In regards to the drakengard series, I've kind of been hoping for this series to catch fire so they could be re-released so they could be more accessible to play.
So I’m gonna write down my thoughts here and post when the video is over. “Darker timeline Nier” is fantastic. That bro is crazy. My videos keep skipping? Might be my pc not sure. Red ferryman dude. Ouch. And the mailman. I am so playing this game. This thing has like seven Stephen kings worth of novels slammed in it. Press X for doubt is a great Easter egg comment, is it a reference to Indigoe Prohecy? I am on the route C storyline and had to stop and take anxiety medication. Man. This is a sad tale. It hits me too man. So I just finished the vid. One, thanks for making it. I’ve enjoyed your videos dude for a bit and this one your passion for the game bleeds through. But also this game is just an impact. It wasn’t until you brought up the fact that in the original Nier was an older man that I realized I did play this game. Back before I was a father. And before I was blind. I never made it far in autonata because of my vision. I really wanted to play it and got depressed when I couldn’t. Visually stunning games are very difficult for me. But ai have learned some accessibility and ply styles that allow me to function if not actually play. I’ll be giving both of these a go in time. Probably automata first as I don’t want that one spiked by your next vid. But your enthusiasm is contagious. Might I suggest a note. About at the halfway piunt (I don’t know this video is essentially my entire Friday worth of listening lol) you put down your voice. Not cool man. A lot of people are watched because of the audible quality of their videos. We are visual creatures but who along is turns off the volume to a let’s play or review of a game. Audio is as core as visual to our entertainment. Keep that in mind man. You could do a podcast if you so chose, and it would be pretty cool honestly speaking. Alright, just had to vent. Thanks for the rundown on this title. It is heartbreaking in its complexity of the characters dude. I always though video games are the superb storytelling route. Give me a movie I have to climb a mountain to learn what happens to Iron Man and I’ll change my mind but the stationary aspect is beaten, literally, by the challenge aspect of games. Thanks again! Hope others comment soon, interested in their opinions on this vid and game as well!
Thanks for another great video,I too hold the original close to my heart.Shame about the audio mess but I still watched it through. And thanks yet again for not infecting your video with adverts 👍🏻
I bought Replicant and instantly bought Automata the next day I bought rep. . I already played automata in 2017 and it was a blast a game that I loved and 100% but now after playing rep. Automata hit me more differently than it did years ago without even knowing the originals story and OMG I was fascinated and really felt sad during route A but route B killed it for me even more when we could hear the shades. Still have route lots to do this weekend to finish this masterpiece that was created no other game hit me so hard. Still watching you’re video wanted to say thank you for you’re hard work and you’re opinion on the story and analysis love to hear other persons perspective from this story.
I love replicant and automata. They have raised my expectations of video game storytelling and now i ponder which games will be the next to drive similar passion in me. I have seen so many new faces checking out my videos on these 2 games in particular and I can't help but think that it isn't that I did a good job retelling them, but really the games were told so well in the first place that people just want more. Thank you for coming and suffering through this one particular failed project. I appreciate you.
Thank you for the compliment. These videos take a lot of time for me to make so I have to be invested to do them. I am planning on doing one on psychonauts and I have footage for halo infinite and a game called apsulov end of gods that I would like to do slightly shorter videos for. During the holiday season, my wife and kids have taken more of my time so it has been easier to find the time to play games than to make videos for them. Hopefully I can get a couple videos made sooner rather than later and hopefully more people like you will find them and enjoy them.
@@shepergames3734 I feel you, uni is eating all my time and my wife isn't a gamer at all, we have different hobbies together, so gaming took a backseat in the past couple of years. I make short movies in my spare time and the editing takes days, let alone filming the things, so I see how this is very time consimung. Still, I enjoy this kind of content so if you do have the time, I'd be interested in your take on Psychonauts.
@@FreakyBarberStuff I didn't play games for years when I was younger but I came back and started playing again once I had kids and I was home after work instead of going out and doing young, fun person stuff. Now I play games in the evenings once the kids are asleep in the last few hours of my day. Sometimes that means I choose to play a new game instead of working on a video as of late. Having a huge project like my Nier one render improperly really kicked me down but I'm starting to get the steam back to have the desire to screw around and make some more. Getting positive feedback really helps give me some drive so thank you again for the kind words.
@@FreakyBarberStuff lastly, if you like the longer, more in depth videos then I would ask that you check out my resi village video. I actually like that one amd basically no one watched it haha
Hahaha man do I appreciate people like you. That rendering mishap almost made me stop creating videos. I was pretty beat up about it but kind people like you kept watching that and my other videos and it made me want to perservere. *tip of the cap*
@@henryt9731 this was rendered on my old machine with a 2700x and a 2060. I believe the problem came from the way I combined the timelines on that video. the soma video I released today I used my 7700x/ rtx 4090 machine. I have been very careful since the release of the replicant video to triple check my exported file before deleting the source recordings. I'm not a big time UA-camr or anything so I didn't even save my finished projects after I uploaded them to save space for my recordings for the next game or games I was working on. My new set up is a bit better so I'm at least saving my finished projects now, but still I am deleting my recorded game footage once I'm done. I have a different methodology for my edits these days precisely because of this video. Before the export, this video sounded normal. I was still in a stage of really fumbling my words but at least there wasn't multiple layers of audio tripping on itself haha. The lesson was learned though. I always watch my finished videos before they go out now. Time to make a whole new series of mistakes to learn from.
@@henryt9731 just a tad I'd say. I built my old pc almost 5 years ago just to game on. At no point did I think I was going to teach myself video editing and make a UA-cam channel. This pc was built to game AND to make videos on. NGL it's pretty nice haha
Thank you for the video, made with so much passion, that I actually watched all 3h :) My first and only entry in NieR was and still is Automata. My feeling was that if I didn't knew about the franchise earlier, then it is not worth. I hopped that a remake may change it, but watching your video, I see that I had the right vision.
I am currently making a NieR Automata video right now. It's my favorite game ever. Nier replicant is not as good of a game as Automata, but it has qualities that might be even better at times. I love the games dearly. I know there are plenty of people that will want to know the backstory but won't have the desire to go back and play the original. That's why I made the video. I still highly encourage a playthough through to the second ending if you find space in your backlog but I can understand not wanting to go backwards in game design. Hopefully you'll want to reminisce on Automata because this video has become just as enormous of a project. Maybe you can check in again soon when that's out. Thank you so much for watching my video, especially considering the audio issues with the render.
OKAY, it took a WHILE but I read every single comment and every single reply. God damn. I understand why you wont/cant fix this video, and im very glad you didnt take it down or anything foolish like that, I see that you are still replying to comments so I hope you read everything im about to say, sorry if it gets a bit wordy, though given how much you love this game, Im guessing that wont be a problem for you even a little bit. First I just want to say thank you. This video was amazing, you clearly care so much about the game, the characters, and even the fans who also love the game, youre clearly thankful for kind comments, and its obvious how distraught you are over the audio issues, but I hate that you say its a failed project. No it is not. I know you know that. theres a comment that says this video is the only reason they played the game, one saying it was the perfect recap before getting back into it, and ofc this one I spent WAY TOO LONG TYPING, THIS WAS NOT A FAILURE. This was so very much a HUGE success, you should be proud and ecstatic. Sorry you had to type out so many explanations on the audio, I hope looking back at it a year later now you can laugh at least a little. Some comments about YOUR speaking, and how you read your script, I wanted to say that I think it was perfect, things like bullet points or re-reading the script until its perfect may work for some, but I think something that sold me on this video was your pure honesty. You feel like a fan talking about a game you love simply because you are, youre not some reviewer or professional critic. Nier wouldnt lie like that, and i for one am so glad you didnt either. So I havnt watched the nier automata video you keep talking about yet, and I wont have time to do so until next week since I spent so long doing *THIS* for some reason, but i am REALLY REALLY looking forward to it. Do you want critique? I feel like youre the kind of person to say yes to that even if you dont actually want it, like you yourself said, youre an amateur, or at least were when you made this, and thats obviously ok, so if you dont want critique, just skip the next paragraph ok? So you are reading this, alrighty then, this is going to be a bit HONEST if you know what I mean. You almost lost me in the intro, which would have been so fucking sad since the rest of the video is so damn near perfect, but I clicked this video because I wanted a telling of the story of the game, not your personal experience with the franchise, and while I can certainly accept that you should post whatever you want, maybe a lighter guide into what the video will actually be about to start with would have been better, an intro for your intro? idk, its not like im a pro, or have ever even done this myself, I have however watched ALOT, and I seriously mean A FUCKING LOT of youtube videos, and I know the very beginning is where most viewers who leave will do so, its the most important part of the video, and I feel like for you it was the weakest (outside the audio :P) which I do want to say some things about, but other people in the comments have pretty much said what I wanted to say verbatim, so the short version, dont let it happen again, though im confident you wont based on your responses. My only other critique is the use of static images in the text walls, and i know i know, its really not that bad, this one is def a personal preference, but even just random background gameplay of running around town, or heck, even just sitting at a beautiful place such as looking out at the ocean nier the town would have been nicer IMO. That really is all I have for critique. And please, dont apologize for any of these things, Im not mad, Im not disappointed, I genuinely just want to see you succeed ok? And some random comments about other comments; Dude dont be so hard on yourself, some people commented about falling asleep to your voice, and in the replies of other comments you call your voice dumb. dude. no it isnt. DONT BE SO FUCKING HARD ON YOURSELF, in reply to a comment telling you not to be hard on yourself, you insulted yourself like 4 fucking times, CALM DOWN ITS OK I like the words redemption arc being used because they are cool words, but man, you REALLY SHOULDNT BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF, YOU DONT NEED TO BE REEDEEMED. I swear if you insult the video, yourself, or anything like that in the reply you leave this comment, Im gonna go ballistic. Thanks for the video. Amazing.
@@theendofthestart8179 Thank you for the critique. Constructive criticism is well warranted. Perhaps my self deprecating nature can appear more serious than I intend. I do not care for my voice but it's the one I got. I don't think I've made anything that is truly great on youtube, but make no mistake, I'm truly proud of the hard work that I put into making these videos. I also think that I do a good job of expressing what I find engrossing. In regards to the intro, noted. part of the difficulties of starting something new is you have no fan base or premade formula. you have to make it up as you go along. I do plan on making a nier gestalt video at some point this year as a sort of make up to this video as an alternative to making this one over again. When I realized what happened with this video it truly broke my heart. I'm sure you can imagine the amount of work this was to create. In spite of my speaking fumbles, I really think that this was really thoughtful as a whole and I think this was my best script. There will always be more though. I'll persist. ps. yes my Automata video blew up and that has really seemed to resonate with people. I think that would likely be true of this video if it didn't sound so bad haha. Thanks for your words of criticism and confidence. I always respond to my commenters because no matter how much work you put into a video, there is so much more satisfaction when it gains an audience.
Great video man I just got into the original Nier and this is the exact kind of video I was looking for 👍 I would love to see you do a video for Automata as well if you have the time and energy lol
I will definitely do so eventually as these two games were the reason I made this channel. I love them deeply from the bottom of my heart and I wanted to go in deep explaining why I love them so much. unfortunately when I made this one I did not check to make sure it rendered properly and when the audio got messed up it really took the wind out of my sails. Especially considering how important good audio is for the nier games. Keep an eye out though. I'm building back the energy to get into it. Obviously these videos take a very long time so you have to be committed to it. Thank you for watching and commenting in spite of it's flaws.
Can sense the hard work and passion in this especially with how gargantuan a project this was and i really wanted to sit through it all, but man those audio issues keep ruining it for me. Regardless good job for making it for those who can sit through. Maybe next project better luck bud.
Dude I feel you. I triple checked my nier automata video rendered right before I deleted my footage. I almost deleted this one but it just took so much work I decided to leave it up. I dont blame you for skipping it though. I would haha.
@@shepergames3734 you may have deleted the footage but dont you have the audio of your side still? Maybe just redo it eventually with better game audio or something. Hate to see such hard work be made lesser by a simple mistake.
Yeah unfortunately without the original footage my only option would be to take my finished project, rip the audio out, add in my voice recordings, reedit those, and then have no game audio at all. that would still sound awkward, take tons more time for a project that would still not be to my satisfaction. To be honest, I was really broken up about it at first because that particular video took me so damn long to complete. I was pretty defeated. I'm pretty satisfied with my automata video, but if the replicant audio wasn't wrecked I'm sure that would be my best work in my mind. I'm just some guy with a wife and kids who makes these videos in my free time at nights for brain exercise. Real youtubers wouldn't make a rookie mistake like deleting all their game footage before reviewing their whole video. As an amateur, it's a mistake I'll try not to make again. Thanks for trying to give it a shot anyways. Check out my automata video if you have any interest in that as that video actually rendered properly.
@@ZeroOmega-vg8nq yeah I only have my voice recording left. I'd have to completely replay the game again or steal game audio from somebody else's playthrough to fill in the gaps and that isn't my deal. Basically either way I'd have to completely remake the video and after several hundred hours of work, going back and putting forth that same effort again is unappealing. Someday I'll want to replay it like I did with nier automata. At that time I'll probably make a second attempt. Or I might go back and make one on the original ps3 port. For now I just finished recording final fantasy VII and I plan to make a video on that and another game called close to the sun. I do this for fun. Obviously, I only have 200 subs haha. Doing all that work and having it go wrong left me depressed and it left a bad taste in my mouth. For now its going to be onward and upward. I appreciate your interest and you not being a jerk about it though. I know the audio issues are super disappointing, but you'll have to believe me that no one is more disappointed than me. My script for that video was like 60 pages long haha.
I wish I had been recommended this before I watched the one you did for Automata. Still I have fully enjoyed both, you have a really nice style of storytelling.
Thank you for the compliment. I appreciate all the people stopping by and giving the positivity. Silent Hill 2 will be next on the docket for me but at some point I want to go back and do nier gestalt as a means of fixing the audio errors that occurred in this export. Stay on the look out and thanks again for your time.
Somehow it's funny. The game has many flaws but still has such a great message. Somehow something wanted to do the same to your video. While the repeating fights were worth it all, listening to the corrupted audio is also worth it to hear what you say about it. I really loved this remake while I didn't play one of the original versions. I appreciate brother nier and think the story is really for him, father nier is not bad but we all know he was a corporate decision. I personally liked ending e, and don't think it's so fanfic. I would love to know more about those Admins because didn't understand that part. So here I am. Sorry for all the people and shades who died but still happy to have had that incredible journey with this great unique personalities. And now I will play automata for the first time in my life. Thank you for the video. It is a great recap and I love to listen to your thoughts. The sound problems weren't that bad in the end at least when you already know the cutscenes
That is a great spin to put on a bad situation. I'll try and remember that when I'm feeling angsty. In regards to the Admins, devola and popola were the administrators of the gestalt program. Their job was to ensure the success of the program. When nier and yonah's gestalt die for their replicants to survive, the project failed. In regards to ending e being fan fiction, while technically true, that doesn't have to be something negative. If im being honest, in hindsight I think that ending e rounds out the story and adds in the benefit of Easter eggs. Nier gestalt ended bitterly and far less sweetly and that left an impact on me that certainly colors my perspective. Thank you for your comment and your time. Very shortly I will be posting my nier automata video. Ignore it. Play the game and come back and tell me what you thought of it.
@@andrewnorris7642 yeah emulator is probably the way to go even if I get a new ps3 controller. I'm well aware of it's reputation as a game that runs horribly but I was gonna give it a go. the dual shock situation might have just convinced me to play it on my pc. The dual shock 3 was an aweful controller even when it worked anyways. I consider using an xbox controller almost as much of an advantage as the framerates.
For one reason or another, I can't bring myself to finish any game anymore. Maybe I'm falling into depression. However, one thing I remember from 2019, is I played nier automata, and I loved that game so much it was the first game I ever 100% I loved the story, the characters, the detail, music, and did I mention story. It was just a great game, so I really wanted to give nier replicant a try. I just can't bring myself to play it. I know it's a game I'm going to enjoy, I played it up till the first act 2 years ago, but after that I just couldn't play it past that. I know I loved the story up to that point. I know I'd love it through the remaining acts. I know I will, but I just can't sit at my computer for more than 30 minutes before losing interest in any game, including this one. So i thank you for this video, it let me enjoy it despite not being able to play it in person. I listed to it while doing house chores, so I managed to enjoy it in some shape. I'm glad I did, great story.
I know that feeling. I am actually in one of those funks at this very moment. Some times you need to find that perfect game to capture you to relight the lost fire. I know resident evil 3 remake has a bad reputation but at one point that game really got me firing again. It was quick, had no wasted fluff, and just happened to be what I needed at that moment. Who knows what that game will be for you, but it will likely eventually happen and regain your interest in video game pursuits. In the interim, I'm glad you spent your time on my video. Have a nice day.
Yeah sorry about that. I've been meaning to do a similar video for nier gestalt as a make up but other games have been monopolizing my time. *shakes fist at baldur's gate*
Loved this. I wanted to play automata, and through researching it came across replicant. I thought…might as well give it a go. And wow, from the opening sequence I was in love. The story is so well executed and the characters so likeable. I’ve completed replicant and just finished ending A of Automata. And honestly, whilst I can see how automata is objectively better, it falls short of Replicant for me. It’s the unassuming nature that caught me off guard, the pleasant and absolute surprise I got with replicant. Whereas automata had expectations set high and, perhaps slightly under delivered story-wise. Just my current hot take, will finish a few more automata endings and then see 🤷🏽♂️🔥 Anyway, great vid! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
I often oscillate on my decision in regards to which game I prefer. I can say that they are both games that I hold close to my heart. I definitely hope you finish automata and see it to ending e as it has its own barbs and hooks to take its hold on you by its conclusion.
i played nier automata first and then looked up a playthrough of nier gestalt. i did play the remake when it came out. although i absolutely love automata i personally prefer the story and game of replicant. the story and music of replicant left such a bigger impact on me than automata, probably bc niers story felt a lot smaller and personal than 2b and the war. also starting up the game hearing snow in summer, having seen drakengard ending E with the queenbeast just haunts me. the cosmic horror elements of the nier lore especially in replicant are so well executed imo. automata has bangers but they dont hit me with the same calming hopelessness as replicants songs
There is something ethereal about the replicant ost. I think it suits the world perfectly. I would probably say the same for automata as well as it is far more cold and metallic. Picking between the games feels like picking my favorite child but I certainly can agree that the replicant storyline has more heart at times. Automata has more cohesive themes. I just love these games and I'm always glad to interact with other people who feel the same
I use a very inexpensive Fifine USB condenser mic. Looking it up it is model k669. I saw a review and it sounded very close to the Blu microphone everyone uses. It works for me. Thank you for stopping by. Especially with that video's rendering issues.
Thank you so much for this dude! I tried playing replicant but after Elden Ring I just can't stand the random camera pans and having to follow that slow girl from facade. I am a fan of Automata so I wanted to see the story. So thanks for condensing it down to a decent length (relative to the usual length of games I mean). It was super nice to listen to this in podcast form.
I actually had almost the opposite experience than yours. Experience as in when I got fully into NieR. I played Automata first without any prior knowledge about the series and liked it. It wasn't until the Replicant Remaster came out and I finished it when I became obsessed with the series. Even going back and playing Drakengard 3. Love this story
I fell in love from jump street. I bought nier gestalt the moment I finished automata. I knew automata was a sequel before I played it but I didn't have interest in playing the original until I finished. As of today, I cannot rightly say which story I prefer. It's easy for me to say automata has the better gameplay but the characters of replicant are so close to my heart.
I like the way you show your love for the story and characters. I also got immersed in it while playing myself. Used your video as a quick recap before starting another route.
Thank you so much. I had no idea that it rendered improperly and deleted all my footage so I can't fix it. I am really broken up about it because it took so much work to make but I'm really grateful some people have been able to push through it and get some enjoyment out of it. I really appreciate the kind words.
So, I remember playing the first version of this game as the MC was an older man I recall and remember in the 1st playtrough I could not understand the shades now after that I could! Don’t know if it was for that version but it was nice to hear what they where saying!
You don't get the ability to understand what the shades are saying until you get into playthrough b. The way this story unfolds is that you play through the game, then you play through it again and more backstory is given to you as you experience the same events with a different perspective. I personally find it to be masterful storytelling for a video game.
Hey, late to the party, thanks for the video. Small correction, I know you made this video from the back of only having experienced the game so you could not have known this, and someone else may have already pointed this out previously, but I wasn't able to find any comment of it from a quick skim through the comment section. The ending E is not actually fan fiction made by the company behind the new version, it's the canon ending that previous to the release of this new version only existed in Grimoire NieR, the book that you mentioned in the video. Toylogic just adapted that short story into the new version of the game.
I did not know that. I think the more hopeful tone made it seem very out of place for me. As a person, it is the ending I would typically root for. As a lover of gestalt, it felt out of place. Thank you for that information. Also, thank you for suffering through a choppy ass video to get that deep to remark upon it as well haha.
@@shepergames3734 I know what you mean, it's almost as if Taro decided to walk back on not giving a really happy ending, though I am not sure whether this was originally intended to be in the game but had to be cut down for one reason or another. But hey, as you know from Automata, at least humanity is still completely screwed, so all hope was still lost on the grand scale of things :P I'll hop on now to the Automata vid you made, because as a master of the trial, it is time to devote myself to the next rule, which stated that the following actions are prohibited in this room: "Stationary Owl" So, see you on the other side :P
It was nice to reminisce listening to this story, I remember hearing about the remastered version coming and I was already sold into pre ordering and I gotta say it was worth what I paid for. I've yet to play Nier Automata but this game made me think, made me feel made me happy made me sad, beautiful music and characters that are all memorable, it's a shame the creator of the Nier franchise had decided to not make anymore games.
I had not heard yoko taro saying he wasn't making any more games. That would truly be a loss to the video game community as a whole. I am glad to have given you an opportunity to reminisce as that was my foremost intention. In regards to missing out on automata, I will highly recommend it. It is a very different game than replicant while also being largely similar. As to which game I prefer, my answer changes with the wind. I can say that if you took something away from replicant, I think you can take just as much away from automata. Thank you for stopping by.
@SheperGames Thank you too man, yea I read in an interview with Yoko taro that he was officially done with the franchise unless he is given more money to make another.
@SheperGames I would hope so as well, I love these kind of games that mentally and emotionally grab the players attention and making us think and feel. I haven't touched Nier replicant v1.22 in 2 years because it touched subjects such as discrimination, loss and pain that I relate too. No other game has had an impact on me other then FFXV. I hope Yoko Taro continues to make Nier games even though I bet he can relate to everything in the game too.
Shoot NieR Replicant is new game plus the game. 4 playthroughs of the second half of the game followed by the first couple hours of the game again until you get to play as Kaine. Did they add more in a patch since I finished?
Yes it does but it also got fucked up in rendering so there is a bunch of nasty audio issues. I deleted my footage not realizing and it was basically impossible to fix. I left it up because it was a shit ton of work but you may not want to push past those defects. As far as the story is concerned... it's thorough haha. There are lots of folks who have been able to push past the glitchy audio but you may not and I wouldn't resent you for it. If you do finish it though please tell me what you thought of my summation in spite of the project quality. My nier automata video was kind of my redemption arc.
I was disappointed with how easy this game was. And hard mode is just op enemies who take forever to die and are immune to interrupts. I had to go back to normal after getting pinned into a corner in the factory. And that first forest of myth dream quest was absolutely ridiculous.
The original was the same way. That's the problem with an rpg that asks you to replay it numerous times. Inevitably you will grind yourself into a point of pure dominance. I'm sorry that was detrimental to your experience. Clearly, for me, I was in in it for the characters and the story. The gameplay was a mechanical necessity to reach the next story beat. Gestalt was far less mechanically interesting than this new variant of replicant. In the beginning of this video I briefly discussed gameplay and then moved along with almost no mentions of the combat afterwards because it was not my personal area of interest in this game. For people looking for challenge and depth in the combat definitely have fair gripes with this experience.
@@shepergames3734 i actually binged lore videos afterwards. I did enjoy the story. Just coming off automata to replicant was a let down. Im halfway through ending c but have taken a break.
@@spontaneousbootay I get it. You are not wrong to have your own opinions. In spite of the rendering error in this particular video, I put forth a lot of effort to make it because this game was special to me. Having said that, I can truly understand that the flaws in the game could clearly drive people away. Before this remaster I only had the original. I used to tell people that the original gestalt game was a 6 out of 10 if you had to rate it with numerical values because it had so many faults. It still was one of my favorite games in spite of those faults. Other people might be less willing to forgive those faults.
Me, who often watches Critical Role: Is that Grimoire... Liam O’Brein? Google: Actually, yes. Edit: AND Kainé is Laura Bailey. Iconic. I didn’t notice that one right away.
The voice acting in this game is beyond top tier. They bring the characters to life and the game depended on it. None of the story beats would have the same impact without the attachment the player builds to the characters.
I appreciate the kind words. It's hard to build an audience and it's even harder when you are inconsistent in your uploads. The successful creators you follow are not only good at making videos but they also have kept at it and been persistent. As some one who does this as a hobby on the side, it's hard to keep up the pace. I hope I can make some more videos that continue to resonate with you.
@@shepergames3734 I mean masterpiece works generally tend to have lower audience because they arent for general people even in context of anime, movie or novels. and i did ignored nier automata at first because i only have medium ranged pc and controls sucks in hacking phase in automata and havent completed story after ending A so I hoped in to yt to complete the story and found your video first automata and now replicant, man they were immersive with much cutscenes and lore unlike ds where only lore is presented as there are themed as one and was finally satisfied as knowing all endings and whole story.
@subashlimbu7621 I try to steer clear of really getting into my views on dark souls stories. People love the lore and background information that can be scavenged from the world. The actual stories could be summarized in a picture book. It works for the game play experience the devs are going for but to be honest, it leaves something to be desired for me. The nier games have heavy themes and the use of cutscenes obviously allows for a more in depth story. Where these two games go even harder is by making the gameplay reinforce the narrative and themes. When even your game save is essentially a cloud save for your protagonist, you've put a considerable amount of thought into the game design.
@@shepergames3734 okay then i am gonna check out other of your videos in my following days. and once again great job for the nier story for minority viewers(maybe all).
Thanks. You have to remember the actual psychology of a person making videos like these. When I made this, my average video got like 15 views. To do this amount of work and have 15 people see it makes you feel like a crazy person. Plus, you are essentially talking to yourself in the moment without knowing if you are actually talking to an eventual audience. It's libel to make you a little crazy and self conscious. I am proud of what I've made in spite of my weaknesses. I appreciate your time and your feedback.
I played replicant up until the desert temple with the prince/elder?? Kid. And then, Elden ring released…. My Nier run had ended at that point. Thinking that it might just be time to return to the game & finish it. I love automata & replicant was good so far as I had never played the original.
@SheperGames FR, I've watched clemps and others but despite the choppy game audio and completely unedited raw script read, I've never understood the story before your video. I Mainly wanted to be sure to leave a comment and like and not get into criticism on a year old video, but really I'm just glad I found this, it was exactly what I was looking for.
@Kajex excellent. Obviously that wasn't how it was edited but just how it was rendered. I'm slowly getting better at actually getting my words out as time passes. Nonetheless, I'm proud of my little babysteps and I do think I did a pretty good job of expressing my passion for this story and recompiling it to be more digestible. I may be well aware of my flaws, but I appreciate kind words when they come my way.
I am probably gonna make a nier gestalt video as a redo. Actually remaking this video would require recapturing the game footage and editing the video from square one and the video would still be squashed in the algorithm by this video. This video stands as my grand failure.
I'm very glad to hear it. I almost deleted this video when I realized the render was bad. I'm glad I've left it up because of kind remarks like yours. I've gone from super depressed about it to feeling very grateful.
@@shepergames3734 you could always re-render and re-upload as like a 'improved' version. The cutscenes are certainly messed up but the overal story is still very good to follow.
@@Zeverouis I can't because I thought the project was done. I deleted everything. Hence my disappointment. I would essentially have to use other people's content for audio and then re edit a 3 hour video. Nawh bro one disappointment is enough. Saving 60 hours of footage is a lot on top of the games I play plus the final videos are usually 100 gigs. Once I finish em, I upload it and delete it. Time for the next one. I'm a nobody with a gaming pc that makes videos for fun. Re editing that would murder my heart. My automata video was the redemption arc.
@@shepergames3734 watching the automata one now and yea def is better cutscene wise. If you ever wanna save the vids you make, I'd recommend getting a cheap (western digital or seagate) 2tb hdd. I understand tho.
@@Zeverouis i got one of those barracuda drives for my recordings. It works for my recordings but I just don't have enough space to keep anything long term. Thanks again for stopping by though. Sincerely.
I only played some of automata, but dang do I now love these games despite them not really being my game play cup of tea. Hearing the stories from you really made me curl up next to my gf when she woke up and cling for dear life after seeing every depiction of love be a tragedy in nier.
@@shepergames3734 the stories like that do have a bigger effect on you honestly. I can't remember all the happy endings but i sure remember the ones that left me sad and wishing they weren't. Edgerunners really through me through a loop like this did
Yeah it pretty much killed me. It rendered wrong and I didn't realize it. So I uploaded it to UA-cam and deleted all 60 hours of footage. Basically I can't fix it without starting over at square one. I'm currently playing automata and I'll try and make it up to you by making sure that one renders right when BEFORE I upload that one. Trust me though, as annoyed as you are, I am way more broken up about it.
This must have taken a lot of work. I appreciate the effort you put into it and watched the whole thing even though I played the game already (all endings). I didnt mean to be negative, and I hope you didnt take it that way. I Just wanted to give honest feedback. Looking forward to your Automata video!
@@noorahmadshinwari4053 yeah bro. Trust me. I get it. If I could fix it without having to play for 70 hours to record everything and then re edit a 3 hour long video I would do it. I considered delisting the video but I just spent too much time making it. I'm proud of the video I made but the one that rendered tore me to pieces. I didn't take it personally. My response was more to say that I am painfully aware of the audio problems but I just can't do anything about it at this point. I'll make sure to watch the entirety of my rendered video before uploading another monster project like that again.
What's wrong with the audio? I'm interested in the story but I just can't keep watching. Bad experience for someone knowing about Nier Replicant for the first time.
read the pinned comment. It wasn't on purpose my man. Sorry. I didn't realize til i had deleted everything and moved onto my next project. amateurs will do amateur things.

@@thalanoth it happened in the rendering process. You watch and listen to your video for hours while you edit it. I didn't check the final render before uploading and deleting all my footage. No fixing it now without starting over. I still got dreams of redemption some day
Nier replicant is godlike but not a masterpiece like nier automata (in my opinion)… everyone else around nier is more interesting than him specially Emil and Kaine
Nier (lets just agree to call him nier) is a vessel for the story. His motivations are completely understandable. He is such a good guy and humbly agrees to help everyone with all of their menial tasks. The problem is he falls victim to the same traps that everyone else in the story does though. Some one else has to be the source of all the world's problems and he will blindly hate what he perceives as the one and only source. His motivations for protecting his sister/daughter (version dependant) are completely understandable and it makes you root for him in spite of his clear and obvious flaws. at least I did. I don't like the game of nier replicant as much as I did automata; but on the right day I might say I love it just as much in spite of it's flaws. it's ethereal music and dreamy setting in combination with it's amazing cast of characters really does something for me.
I am very unnatural in these videos. I feel very uncomfortable in this format. There is no delivery mechanism to make me feel natural in this type of forum just due to my discomfort. Your idea for bullet points comes from a good place, but these long form videos are incredibly long. The script is the important part for me. I may be awkward and very formal sounding but I want to say what I want to say about the games. Maybe I will become more comfortable over time. Maybe I won't. But while I do this as a hobby I want to at least say what I want to say about the games. Trust me, putting me in front of a microphone without a defined script is a recipe for a lot of vocal fillers. There are good youtubers that make this look very easy but I assure you it isn't. At least not for me. Try recording yourself speaking on a subject for an hour and listen to it. Then imagine doing it for 3 times as long. In this video in particular I had a rendering issue I was unaware of until I already deleted my footage. I'm clearly an amateur, but I am just trying to learn as I go and get slightly better every time.
well I used a bunch of timelines and combined them together for the final work and somehow the finished product got jacked up. Apologies. A damn shame for how much work went into this dang thing.
Just wanted u to know that your work didn’t go to waste. I’ve been looking for a video just like this. Thank you so much
I really appreciate it.
Months later I just finally rewatched this with all of the audio issues. It kills me still. I'm also still proud of it.
i loved it, thanks mate
i was close to finish the a route, but i stopped like 8 months ago, and this video really helped me to remember the story, you are a underrated legend
@@pedromelo7885 very much appreciate it.
Don't mind. Dont fuck up Automata though.
@@Ugnaski the audio turned out fine in that one. As for the quality of the video, you're gonna have to be the judge.
If you didn’t make this, how would I have been here appreciating it?
Not only did you do a wonderful job of explaining the game, but I really appreciated how I could literally feel the pure love and joy this game brought you.
awesome then my mission was accomplished
I'm almost finished recording footage for a nier automata video. I love this series from depths of my being and I'm glad it comes across.
Thank you for this video. Don’t worry about the technical audio issue, it happens. The important thing is you made this wonderful video. I’ve listened to it in its entirety, as well as the Nier Automata video (twice actually, over some months). Your work is excellent and really appreciated
Thank you. That is a kind thing to say. I appreciate you spending your time on my videos.
I made it "this gar" and I liked every Minute. Tanks for your hard work! I appriciate it, it was real fun.
Theres a bit of the fighting gameplay inside your house after beating ending A that gives you a taste of gestalt with 3 doors you go through its how you get a weapon.
I mention it at the very end. Its a long road to that point though haha
I played this game (and unlocked all achievements!) because of this video. Such a wonderful experience. I’m excited to dive into Automata soon! Thank you for convincing me to finally pick these games up :)

@@alexguy8960 thanks for your passion man. I appreciate having anyone as audience to watch as I make them for fun as I'm just passionate about gaming.
I was looking for a video that tells the replicant story in depth before I start Automata, thank you so much this is perfect
Thanks for another great video,I too hold the original close to my heart.Shame about the audio mess but I still watched it through. And thanks yet again for not infecting your video with adverts 👍🏻
came here from automata story video and i gotta say This was great and good and made me realize these game have great stories.
This is the best explanation on UA-cam hands down
Thanks friend.
I'm not sure you're interested in subs and views, but man, you deserve more. A lot more. I love these long format deep dives, thanks for making this.
Ooo the sound issue made the story so trippy.
And i love it😻
Hahaha man do I appreciate people like you. That rendering mishap almost made me stop creating videos. I was pretty beat up about it but kind people like you kept watching that and my other videos and it made me want to perservere. *tip of the cap*
@@shepergames3734wondering what hardware are you using to render videos 🤔
@@shepergames3734 lol your new set up is *A BIT* better hahahAHAHAHAHA
@@henryt9731 just a tad I'd say. I built my old pc almost 5 years ago just to game on. At no point did I think I was going to teach myself video editing and make a UA-cam channel. This pc was built to game AND to make videos on. NGL it's pretty nice haha
just finished the video about NieR:Automata and bout 1/4 in this one . I got one thing to say I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
Awww you're awesome. Thank you. I appreciate it very much.
Thank you for the video, made with so much passion, that I actually watched all 3h :)
My first and only entry in NieR was and still is Automata.
Great video, came for your take not the footage per say - was fantastic 👍🏻
And some random comments about other comments;
Dude dont be so hard on yourself, some people commented about falling asleep to your voice, and in the replies of other comments you call your voice dumb. dude. no it isnt.
DONT BE SO FUCKING HARD ON YOURSELF, in reply to a comment telling you not to be hard on yourself, you insulted yourself like 4 fucking times, CALM DOWN ITS OK
I like the words redemption arc being used because they are cool words, but man, you REALLY SHOULDNT BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF, YOU DONT NEED TO BE REEDEEMED.
I swear if you insult the video, yourself, or anything like that in the reply you leave this comment, Im gonna go ballistic.
Thanks for the video.
Amazing.
Wow I had to look even though I cant watch it all right now, and that automata video kinda blew up huh? thats fucking awesome IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU
@@theendofthestart8179 Thank you for the critique.
@@shepergames3734 im sure theres plenty of lets play channels that wouldnt mind you using their footage as long as you give em credit but i feel ya.
dont be sad i enjoyed the video. i like how intimately you discribe this wonderful work of art. 👁👁 now turn to stone!
I appreciated this comment. Thanks for that.
Stay on the look out and thanks again for your time.
not finished with the video but absolutely loving it! amazing work!
Awww shucks
Taro's caught our attention, now all he needs to do is remaster drakengard 3
I bought it for ps3 but literally all of my ps3 controllers have decided to die. I think I might emulate it and try out the 60 fps patch.
@@shepergames3734 if you wanna join the OGs play ps3 version, if you wanna have a half decent gaming experience play it on anything else
Great! Audio could be better but was able to get the whole story! Appreciate this! Incredible story
Just my current hot take, will finish a few more automata endings and then see 🤷🏽♂️🔥
Anyway, great vid!

I love this video so much! Also what microphone are you using? Its so crisp and clear!
I use a very inexpensive Fifine USB condenser mic. Looking it up it is model k669. I saw a review and it sounded very close to the Blu microphone everyone uses. It works for me. Thank you for stopping by. Especially with that video's rendering issues.
Excellent work my friend
Thank you so much for this dude! I tried playing replicant but after Elden Ring I just can't stand the random camera pans and having to follow that slow girl from facade.
I am a fan of Automata so I wanted to see the story. So thanks for condensing it down to a decent length (relative to the usual length of games I mean). It was super nice to listen to this in podcast form.
Thanks for putting up with the audio rendering issues and the kind words.
You fucking casual scrub kids have alot of audacity to call yourselves gamers. Bet you'll never enjoy a single playthrough of Morrowind, sad fate.
Amazing Video
I am genuinely grateful for the kind words. Especially in spite of the rendering issues.
I like the way you show your love for the story and characters. I also got immersed in it while playing myself.
Used your video as a quick recap before starting another route.
Awesome. I'm glad to hear it. I love the game and it's sequel dearly and i'm glad it shows.
Excellent video my guy
Thank you for surviving the mess. I'm still pretty proud of the script in spite of my rendering failure.
This video has some audio issues but danm is it under viewed and underated.
But hey, as you know from Automata, at least humanity is still completely screwed, so all hope was still lost on the grand scale of things :P
I'll hop on now to the Automata vid you made, because as a master of the trial, it is time to devote myself to the next rule, which stated that the following actions are prohibited in this room:

thank you very much for this video. cant thank you enough. gonna watch your nier automata video now xD
That one comes complete with no savage audio rendering issues. Thank you and you are welcome.
Great video, thanks for making it!
Thanks for watching it
It was nice to reminisce listening to this story, I remember hearing about the remastered version coming and I was already sold into pre ordering and I gotta say it was worth what I paid for.
@@tarlohawke6676 I hope that was him being coy but if he never makes another one of these games I will be thankful for those that I got.
I hope you've all played through the new game+ for the full story and play as 92
Shoot NieR Replicant is new game plus the game. 4 playthroughs of the second half of the game followed by the first couple hours of the game again until you get to play as Kaine. Did they add more in a patch since I finished?
Before i watch this, does this video cover all playtroughs and all endings?
Yes it does but it also got fucked up in rendering so there is a bunch of nasty audio issues. I deleted my footage not realizing and it was basically impossible to fix. I left it up because it was a shit ton of work but you may not want to push past those defects. As far as the story is concerned... it's thorough haha. There are lots of folks who have been able to push past the glitchy audio but you may not and I wouldn't resent you for it. If you do finish it though please tell me what you thought of my summation in spite of the project quality. My nier automata video was kind of my redemption arc.
thank you. good share.
All the game audio is choppy, but still, good synopsis
Great video.
Liked and subscribed.
Thank you for the kind words
Me, who often watches Critical Role: Is that Grimoire... Liam O’Brein?
Google: Actually, yes.
Edit: AND Kainé is Laura Bailey. Iconic. I didn’t notice that one right away.
The voice acting in this game is beyond top tier. They bring the characters to life and the game depended on it. None of the story beats would have the same impact without the attachment the player builds to the characters.
also why is your subscribers only 1.57k? I mean automata and replicant video are one of the best i have seen in youtube in my opinion.
Good Video, don't talk yourself down that much.
I urge you to continue. If you liked automata then replicant will also make you feel things. At least it did for me
Glory to Mankind!
Not yet! The time isn't right yet!
Oh shit I almost forgot to say, as far as 2:14:20 goes, Id say its def wife that hates bathtime more
Thank you.
Right back at you.
@SheperGames the passion comes through and was well received here, thank you again.
Can you re edit the game parts audio? Or use another channels Nier video?
I am probably gonna make a nier gestalt video as a redo. Actually remaking this video would require recapturing the game footage and editing the video from square one and the video would still be squashed in the algorithm by this video. This video stands as my grand failure.
@SheperGames ok I understand friend. No problem
22:33 gonna watch later
Now there is anime for it
Thanks. I i i love is video. Faults and all
Thanks friend. You're the real mvp.
3:27 bro you're a mind reader how
No one does long form stuff for nier it seems cept for you thus far (that I've found), so no not a waste at all.
Sincerely.
Welp i just watched both of your nier videos and my emotions are a mess.
*starts chant* One of us!
I only played some of automata, but dang do I now love these games despite them not really being my game play cup of tea. Hearing the stories from you really made me curl up next to my gf when she woke up and cling for dear life after seeing every depiction of love be a tragedy in nier.
@Lauralis no one gets a real happy ending in nier. They are games that I love that may no love me back.
@@shepergames3734 the stories like that do have a bigger effect on you honestly. I can't remember all the happy endings but i sure remember the ones that left me sad and wishing they weren't. Edgerunners really through me through a loop like this did
@Lauralis I just finished cyberpunk so I gotta get on edgerunners now. I'll take that as an endorsement
Subbed
Thanks. I am grateful.
Great vid man, I love the story but suck at bullet hell so lol
I suck at bullet hell too but I found this game to be pretty easy. especially after doing all the quests on normal I felt like a god. haha
actually let me add to that. I'm generally pretty shitty at all games unless you give me the ability to grind my way to godhood!
This is such an awesome video but the audio recording issues are very annoying.
A comment for the algorithm :)
Huzzah! All hail our lord and savior, the mysterious algorithm!
Its o.o.o.o.okay ay ay😂

"Im not crying youre crying"
well, you arent wrong, but it probably isnt for the reason you wanted it to be lmao
damn it's pretty much impossible to listen to that game audio lol
what game audio? All I hear is an active haunting hahaha
If I ever hit 1000 subs, I think I'm gonna do nier gestalt as a redo. This kills me for how much work this was.
@@shepergames3734 lol I'm still only hour and half in but the repeated/cut audio is horrendous particularly in the game sequences
@@shepergames3734 55:39 for example, all sequences stutter lag, your voice audio is fine, can't remember which part it also affected. Encoders can be suck eh hha
@@thalanoth it happened in the rendering process. You watch and listen to your video for hours while you edit it. I didn't check the final render before uploading and deleting all my footage. No fixing it now without starting over. I still got dreams of redemption some day
Пративная манера речи прости но дизлайк
It sounds like you wrote down a script and are stuttering while reading it, I’d suggest write down bullet points and talk naturally
