This is just a space to post a bunch of game play clips and assorted videos that I have made to work on video editing. I mostly just post stuff for friends, but all are welcome.
Games Played. Videos Not Made
I have recorded tons of footage for videos that I never ended up making. I have to do something or run out of hard drive space. In this video, I cover my thoughts about a series of games very briefly.
I made a discord and haven't done anything with it. You can use it to contact me though if you wanna chat:

It HaZ cAtZ! Seriously though, I very much enjoyed my time with this game. In the end, I spent more time complaining than I really intended and I didn't even mention the amazing score. It is a Squeenix game after all. In spite of their many flaws, that company seldom puts out a weak score. I hope this video inspires some measure of interest in the game. Beyond Good and Evil: Story Recap and Analysis
How did Nier and Yonah not age in 1412 years but they aged in the later 5 years? Also what did kaine say to Emil outside his mansion in route A?
@xenusgonsalves1512 Firstly, the nier and yonah from the beginning of the game are the shades that you battle at the end of the game. Once you take control of nier, you are now playing as his replicant in the future. You are meant to question how they exist in the same way at that point and it is only slowly revealed to you as the game goes on. Why does his replicant age? For this I have no answer. The Kaine and emil conversation, you aren't meant to know in that moment but she is revealing the truth of herself to him. Emil becomes very close to her as the game unfolds because they are both outcasts in one way or another.
I'll come back once I finish the game a couple of times. hopefully by then I'll be better. I'm playing on easy 😅 getting my ass kicked.
@ricardodeleon5065 the difficulty curve is kind of backwards in nier. The beginning of the game tends to give people more problems than the end of the game. Keep at it. I think this game is worth it.
This is great. I really like the flow and the commentary.
Thanks a lot. I appreciate it.
I got this game free with Gold years ago on my Buster 360 (yea I’m old) fucking loved this game… I’m genuinely glad it’s still talked about it’s an amazing game and I’m forever holding this game in my heart and hoping for the second game comes in my lifetime
You missed out on secret option 3 with Pascal, you can choose to just leave, leave him with the pain, and his life and memories. A comment on the fact that running from your past solves nothing. Acceptance, and perseverance
@@NexusDDD haha wait til you get later in the video where I call you a monster for making that choice.
27:34 I love how it makes you make the first strike; you are the aggressor to what is essentially a new born... you teach it how this world works
I'm not going to lie, the game completely passed me by in terms of trailers and how someone was not happy with them. Although I saw it at the presentations, because I watch them, it didn't catch my eye at all. But after this video, I even want to give this game a chance.
@HonRedMan if you're aware of what to expect, I think the world is super fantastical and the movement is so refreshing and fun. It's a lot easier pill to swallow now that the game is on sale for 20 bucks rather than when it was new for 70.
It's a great way to use the accumulated footage. It would be great to see similar videos in the future. At least, that's what I think😊
you convinced me to buy and play the game, I hope you are happy.
@@davidk2023 oh believe me, I am.
long ass video
You're welcome?
I love this game, it's a little jem and I'll never understand why it isn't more known. Good video, thank you for your perspective on it
@MrRobot22 none of my friends have played it and my powers of persuasion failed me. Some times I got to make a video to talk about a game I liked if I have no one in real life to actually talk to
Tnx for the video, it is nice to see people still playing this game and enjoying it
This the band from south San Jose?
@BalanceOvOpposites based on what I've found online, yes. I just know I saw them at a show in LA and they threw out this cd and my friends and I caught them.
BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS AONG FOR YEARS. THANKSSSSS
@@philipwagnon1477 that's why I uploaded the record. I couldn't find it anywhere online.
A Plague Tale: Requiem is literally my favorite game ever. It’s beautiful, it’s haunting, the story and characters are phenomenal, and don’t get me started on how much I just love sneaking around in high grass. It’s so silly but it’s a mechanic that I adore. I absolutely love the protector role in video games, where you’re actually kind of guarding the actual “hero/main character”, and I hope devs will make many more games like that. I was so upset every time Amicia was separated from Hugo, which just speaks volumes to my investment in their relationship. Innocence was good, but Requiem was phenomenal to me. Protector Of A Magical Child™ is the best trope 😂 You’ve also sold me on Cyberpunk! I already bought it a few months back during a sale, but now I’m even more excited to get into it! I decided to download it while watching the video and spend like an hour in character creation, as one does. BG3 has already gotten hundreds of hours of playtime out of me, of course. It’s definitely in my top ten of all time. Surprisingly, I do seem to prefer slightly more compact and linear narratives. Then again, I also love both Horizon games, but those are still more linear compared to BG3. I guess pretty much all games are compact if you compare them to BG3 😅 As for the rest, I have yet to buy and/or play them, but I’ve had my eye on some of them for a while, and some are already waiting in my Steam library. Thank you for the recommendations! So many games, so little time.
First off, thanks for watching. I really loved the plague tale games and I am especially sad that I didn't take the time to do a long form glow up for them and hell blade specifically. I'm not particularly adept at explaining why something feels good to play, but I do think I could have expressed why a game's narrative is effective. Those games had characters and stories that really resonated with me, but for one reason or another I couldn't get it together to take the time to make those videos. I tend to agree with you on more compact narratives. I think that baldur's gate 3 was more of an example of a game that was successful because of the interactivity in the game and with your actual ability to affect the narrative. I can say for myself, I won't look back on the game fondly reminiscing about the actual plot. The characters (including the antagonists) were really my stars of the show. Cyberpunk has a better mainline plot, but I felt very similarly about it as bg3 in that they got me involved with all the characters and their individual dilemmas to the point where I cared about the outcome. Obviously in regards to the actual gameplay and setting they are very different. I think the way the story is told might be your speed. Even though it's an open world game, the quests feel pretty well compartmentalized whereby each individual segment I felt I got some meaningful story or character background from it. Also, that presentation.... Thanks again for taking the time for watching and even more for commenting. Having people comment and tell me their thoughts keeps me from feeling like I'm talking to myself.
Persona 4 day by day. Yes. Also. I feel cheated since you SPOILED! The first mission of Cyberpunk man. Absolute spoil. Darn.
@alexguy8960 haha shut up lex. I figured you would want the persona video
Awwww return of the Shep!!!!! OUT FOR A RIP BUD?
It's one of my Bi-Annual releases!
It’s weird how certain people have become puritans when it comes to beautiful women
At least as a newcomer to the game you don't have to wait 20+ years for a potential sequel/prequel... ... why am I crying? T_T
@leklazy8046 let's not count those chickens. This is ubisoft after all. I just hope if they do actually release a sequel, it won't be some kind of monkey's paw wish granted type of situation.
Great video! I've always wondered what the Replicant games were like after playing Automata. Honestly, the audio problems weren't bad at all, as every scene with it had subtitles so we didn't miss a thing. Thanks for making this!
I couldn't finish playing NieR because of a medical issue, and I'm so grateful for your video. I watched a few others, but yours truly made me feel like I didn't miss anything. Amazing work, thank you so much!
This recap was amazing! It must've taken a long time to make. I got here through your Nier Automata uploads and I'm looking forward to watching all your other videos! Edit: This video really deserves more views
Thank you so much for the compliment. They do take a long time and my commitment to making them has waned as of late, but seeing positivity instills a bit of fire to get back to making more.

Sir SheperGames, Thank you for documenting this game epic storytelling. 🙏
This is still one of my absolute favorite games of all time.
Happy to fuel your nostalgia
best 3h and 48 min .... thx mate
1:01:09 I am from Cyprus and I remember watching the governor of Hillys for the first time, as a child playing this game. It didn't seem weird to me. Neither does it seems weird now, 15 years after. She's a human, so why not?
I agree. Sadly, that has not been the historical perspective where I come from.
@@shepergames3734 The only difference that matters is if a human is good-willed or if he/she is not good-willed. If we have good will, the rest will find their way. If you allow me, where are you from?
@Stellarionas I'm from Los Angeles. The united states have a particularly complicated history when it comes to race relations. The reason why I mentioned the diversity of the characters in this video is because there is a brewing community of gamers who are prone to outrage over forced diversity in modern games. Beyond good and evil is an example of good diversity. It has characters of all races and species and the game is better for it. All these cultures give the world of hillis a very distinct character.
@@shepergames3734 well said mate. This was a good ass video subscribed
i played the game on gamecube and not sure if its stable on emulator
There are other people that were able to play the gog version on pc with no issues. Sometimes you just get unlucky with a driver or a particular hardware configuration and I think that was my case. I'm sure the emulated GameCube or Xbox version would be fine.
Its o.o.o.o.okay ay ay😂
As someone who originally didn’t know you messed up, I thought the audio was for copyright reasons 😭 but cheers for this video, I’m sure everyone that watched it including myself enjoyed it
Great video.
Thank you
got this game few weeks ago and its become one of my fav games ever easily... looking forward to watching this video over and over, trapped in a never ending spiral of consuming nier content... is this a curse? :P

Aww shucks.
This Masterpiece is my favorite game too bro ;-)

@@shepergames3734 So you are 👍
Watched till the very end. I've played nier automata once before but never to completion. This video inspires me to wanna go back to it and play it myself and then come back to this video. Thank you for such a big comprehensive video explaining it. I loved the passion you clearly show for this game and the slight jokes you would make in the video made it funny as well as entertaining😊
Oh Shep. Right at the end. “I’m not blind!” I mean. Oof. Man. Wow. Ok. You get a pass. When people bring this up in twenty years like you wore an Aladdin costume to a birthday party when You were six, just tell them You got blind friends, and they’re cool with it. Should lower the temp in the room.
It wasn't intended as a personal attack but now i will choose to stand my ground! haha I definitely need to be more self aware of my KNOWN audience.
@@shepergames3734 It’s all good dude, I didn’t take it personally. I’m having a bad week with legal aeriting. Finals are due. I’m all. Moody. My bad. This game looks awesome though. The acting is giving me “Hono with a. Shotgun” vibes.
@@alexguy8960 Don't worry about it, I knew you weren't really mad. Still it's food for thought for me. You know how it is, when you're amongst friends you say whatever off the cuff. If you're online, you can't ever know your audience. It's always good to keep a healthy perspective on that.
Excellent. Double Shep month. This. Is the way.
I was hyped for this game pre-release but the reviews scared me away. But after yours and a few other reviews, it really seems like this game is right up my alley. I’ll pick it up on sale!
Yeah those same perspectives scared me away as well. In spite of the flaws I acknowledged, I ended up really enjoying it. Especially for a sale price of sub 20 bucks it truly warrants a look if you're willing to lean into what the game does well rather than what it does poorly. If I'm being honest, if I had paid full retail I would still feel I got my money's worth.
Oh I am GETTING this game next time it’s on sale. I was never interested in it, but... Parkour, magic nails, fantasy kitties, magic skill trees, fantastic photo mode, a main character who is flawed, a great story??? I really missed out because of all the negativity around this. Now it’s my most anticipated game to go on sale. Thanks for the recommendation, I’ll have something new to dive into after I finish Horizon Forbidden West 👀 Also, I do vaguely remember Aloy being too nice in the first game. In the second game, she’s more standoffish and takes a while to accept the help of her friends, and she never really warms up to getting praised. I do love her a lot, too, but I’m excited to see Frey be more mean and snarky 😂
I'd be pumped to hear your thoughts when you do give it a try. I think this game is an empathy test. If you're a bleeding heart like me then you're more likely to forgive the flaws and give the game a chance. The combat and traversal is legitimately fabulous though whichever side of that line you fall on.

Haha I didn't notice that I fumbled the bag on yorha. Look it's a lot of talking to get this deep into a video. I try to edit out my mistakes but some times when you're deep into editing your brain interprets your own mistakes as being correct. Ever reread something you wrote and during a third pass you notice that you missed a word and your brain filled in the blank? Something like that.
