Hi 👋🏼 ! Hope you've had a good week 👍🏼 Dave is great to work with. I know a lot of couples here that are renovating their properties together and it can be a bit of a strain on their relationship 😔!!! Luckily Dave is really considerate and a team player and he wants to teach me, which is great 💪🏼👷🏼♀️ I feel very lucky that he's my husband and I was proud of what we achieved. Thanks for watching Xx
Hi Maria 👋🏼! Thanks so much for joining us again. We are pretty tired now 😌 and our legs and arms hurt 😅💪🏼👷🏼♀️ but it's worth it to be getting somewhere and seeing some progress 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Xxx
Good to see u back, n great job on the wall, that will look great when its finished. I was gonna suggest Anxiety Jacket for the dogs but i think someone else already did but ive heard they work well for thunderstorms n fireworks. Look forward to the next video 👍❤
Thanks so much for commenting! It's great advice and I'm looking into the different types I can get from Amazon Spain. They're not too expensive either. They range from €20 - €70. It's just a jacket that makes the dog feel like they are being held/hugged. I'm wondering if I can get the correct materials, perhaps I could make one. I've read that the ones you get online are 80% effective and I guess it depends on the dog. Thanks for watching Xx
@portugalmuse8430 I'm guessing that an old blanket or clothing that uv worn would work even better, cause it will have ur smell on it (not saying u stink lol) but a familiar scent for the dogs 2 make them feel extra secure xx
Thanks so much Sandy 🙏🏼❤️🙌🏼 It made me really happy reading your comment 😍 We do really really love our dogs! They are three such different and wonderful characters ☺️ I'll show more of them 👍🏼 Thanks for your support 🙏🏼 Xxx
Watching you both up and down ladders looked like very hard work. It's nice to see you both. How did the veggie patch go, was it successful, I hope you had lots of lovely fresh veggies. Maybe you could show us some more cooking when you get time .
Hi Naomi 👋🏼! How's it going, hope you had a good week 👍🏼 Last year's veggie patch was really good. We had great weather for growing vegetables. I had too many courgettes to count and some giant ones, some butternut squashes, lots of salad stuff: lettuce, onions, tomatoes and the beetroots did really well. I still have some pickled beetroot from last year! I wasn't successful with cucumbers, I think we had one really hot day in the 40+'s and they just frazzled in the dry heat... I grew lots of aubergines but they didn't get very big and we're full of seeds so I think I must have done something wrong there. This year the weather has been really changeable and it even snowed in March which is really unusual so the veggie garden is a bit patchy this year. I'll show you in the next video 👍🏼
Amazing 🤩! I just googled how far you are from here and it's 17h on a plane apparently 😊! I've never been to that part of the world! I'd love to explore it one day Xx
Really cool to see you two tackle a project in tandem 😊. And thanks for bringing us back into your home to visit with you and your puppers. I remember the delicious things you baked and made in your first series 😋. Your plans for new content all sound good. Happy you're back and look well. 🤗
Hi Ruth 👋🏼! Thanks for commenting 🙏🏼 If I could earn a bit more money here, as I don't earn much, or if we could make any money from the videos, it would mean Dave could work less for other people and we could work on the house like this all the time. I really enjoy working with Dave as I learn soo much and we get a lot more done than when I'm here muddling through it with very little tools on my own... I think I've just got to keep going and hope for the best🤞🏼A couple of people have said they liked the cooking videos so I'll definitely do some more of them. Thanks soo much for your support Xx
Hello. Hello, how are you? I bet immensely tired. I mention that the wall is from approximately 1960. My grandfather wasn't a builder (he was a farmer), of course at that time he had help from someone on the construction, but the materials were different. I was always grateful that the wall held up in the winters 🙏 it was in terrible condition. Thank you for sharing... 😍 Take care of yourselves and the little dogs who are an absolute sweetheart ❤ see you soon
Hi, lovely to hear from you. We are always interested in the history of the house. The wall was well built but the materials haven't survived well. The weather has badly damaged them. But we'd rather keep the old wall than replace it with a new one. We had to render it to save it from more weather damage. Your grandfather did a good job. It is very straight and is already over sixty years old. x
Hi Carla 👋🏼! I love that you can keep us informed about the house's history here! As Dave said it's really important to us. You Tube is such a fantastic platform for sharing knowledge, experiences and information and a brilliant means of communication. So happy you're watching and keeping us in the know. Thank you 🙏🏼
@@portugalmuse8430 Hi David and Awne, and your amazin. If i see something yours and if I remember it, I will say it with great affection. My mother grew up there, but was never as connected to the history of the Earth as I was. Old habits can be learnings. I think my grandparents were must happier there, than in their old house (down there among the other houses)
@@portugalmuse8430 Fun fact: you already know that winters are sometimes painful. And the house was always closed in the winter, so in the summer when we went, there were always owls, dead owls inside the house :( . They entered through the chimney to warm themselves. For me it's a huge shame and pain, but you understand... survival in winter is about getting something warmer.
Wow 🤩! Yes 😅!!! We know! When Dave did the roof there was a perfectly preserved owl (almost mummified!!!) We kept it for a bit 😅!!!) The dogs were terrified of it so we had to give it back to the earth in the end. But my creative side was thinking of keeping it for something🫣!!! Xxx
Hi Elaine 👋🏼 I like that you spotted that 🐶❤️ he's a lovely boy. He stares at both of us. We wake up in the night and he's slithered on the bed and is just staring at us while we sleep 😅 poor boy... I think he had a bit of a hard time before he came to live with us, we're just really happy he's happy and safe now Xxx
Lovely to see you back online. Dogs often seek bathrooms during thunderstorms as there is a lot of static electricity around that they can sense and a bathroom is naturally grounded through the pipes. Just make sure he has company and try and distract him through play. If there is lightening, cover windows. There are apparently dog jackets you can get (I’ve no experience here) - they are designed ‘hug’ the dog and reduce anxiety. Good luck with the rendering. Great job so far.
Thank you for this 🙏🏼it's really useful information for keeping Gruff happier and feeling more calm. A few people have commented on getting the jackets that reduce anxiety. I'm looking on Amazon Spain now at the different ones you can buy Xx
Hi 👋🏼 ! If we could make money from the videos Dave could be off a lot more and we could work as a team 🤞🏼 that would be ideal 😌. I think it takes a couple of years to start making money from UA-cam unless a video goes 'viral'. But it's going well, thanks to your support. We'll get there 🤞🏼👍🏼🙏🏼 Xxx

There are no metal pipes. It's just that it's a smaller space and cooler.
Great work on the wall guys. Many hands and all that eh. 👍🏼👍🏼
It was nice to work together on this one! Also nice to see it done after all this time 👍🏼
