I’ve always loved animals. All of them. But never have I been even more appreciative of my dog and my cat. They’re seriously 90% of my joy and entertainment through quarantine.
My mom pretty much treated pets like livestock. She wasnt as emotionally invested as I get to dogs. We also used to let our dogs out way back in the day. Now, all dogs must be attended to and ours never go out of our house/yard alone. Now, if you let them roam, who knows what they've gotten into, so maybe that was an aspect of the idea that they can spread the virus. Are dogs allowed to roam free in China? Cats still do here, tho many people keep them as indoor only, for their own safety. And the human's feelings, as it does hurt to loose a pet you've bonded with.

Though, it was warm around april time for a bit, but it did rain and hail a lot in march and I almost shat myself when I was close to the window. xD It's gone back to being rainy again though, with some bouts of sun peeking through.

In Michigan the ppl had a protest and decided to storm the state house building with their guns so we had it extended til may 28. I’m just glad no one got hurt during this and people realized that we still need to stay home until this gets better so more ppl don’t get sick. Stay safe guys 💜

In case even one person sees this: Korea is seeing improvement because of responsible measures that most of the U.S. did NOT take in time. If you are in the U.S. and the state you're in is considering reopening, please research whether this has actually been recommended by health officials. The political and economic motivations of the people in charge are not worth your life.

There is no "one size fits all" approach to this. Folks in Wyoming or North Dakota don't need to lock down. Even in the areas with high numbers of infected, if you are healthy the percentage of dying is EXTREMELY low. The old and folks with underlying conditions should be safe and fort up for a bit or wear masks and social distance, everyone else needs to get back to work.
@@cornpowa even if there are low numbers there is a chance there could be a second wave. This virus is when we should be able to trust our government to have our best interest by setting up relief plans but it doesn't seem like it. As a person who lives in Georgia who has a sizable amount of cases and as a black person I'm concerned for my health bc we're dying at a higher rate than others and that's where I think there is a disconnect. Some people aren't concerned because it's not as close to home to them yet
@@tapaijahill9897 Of course there will be a 2nd wave. The whole point in the lockdown was so the hospitals could get ready and so not everyone was sick at once. A government that wants their people locked up so they can't work and earn money doesn't have the people's best interest at heart. You can stay home if you are worried. Just because some folks are scared or at risk of death, that doesn't mean everyone should be on house arrest. I am an essential worker and have never had to stay home, I've been going out 5+ days a week and have shown no signs of catching it. I glove and mask up for safety and my job has enacted more strict cleaning procedures. If I did catch it then it was so mild that I never even noticed. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but it's sounding like a couple of reasons that black people have been hit harder is due to higher numbers of underlying health issues and lack of following social distancing and mask guidelines than other folks. Just be smart, clean, and safe and you should be fine. My state is on the low end for infections and have had plenty of time to get ready. Healthy folks need to catch it eventually anyway so that we build up a herd immunity to protect those that could die from it. Look how Sweden handled this. They didn't shut down anything and didn't have ridiculously high death rates compared to other nations and their population now has herd immunity to protect the sick and ole. We disagree, but be safe and careful all the same!
@@cornpowa anybody with a basic understanding in science knows that herd immunity doesn't really work when there is no vaccine.....however you are correct in saying there is no one size fits all solution
