Hi Franc , i just saw your vlog, and it's great to see a new Franc with the bush around the face gone makes you look very young now. Sorry the stay didn't last the duration, but that's life, but you got 5 days of yourself without anyone talking or disturbing you.Life is tough and its what you make of it that counts.I wish you all the best on your journey and hope to see more vlogs.👍👍🙏🙏🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭
Appreciate it Jason. I do look a little more youthful haha Not easy at all, but you're right, it's better than nothing and I still got some good ideas and perspectives on not only myself but the world as a whole. More vlogs coming, stay tuned!
Gday Mate Thanks for checking in & sharing the update . I stopped smoking & coffee about 25 yrs ago Keep checking in with us and if you need to chat about stuff pls email me All the best ✌️👋
Hey Ant, appreciate you stopping by. Great choices, i'm not sure i can give up coffee just yet! Awesome, appreciate you reaching out. Hope you're enjoying yourself!
sad news about you and sarah, but who knows what will grow from the ashes, thanks for the update and good luck with meditation and all the future holds, thanks for sharing,
Appreciate it Phil. It is what it is and in life we just have to move on. Taken some time off but ready to get back into it. About to get on a plane from Kazakhstan to London!
Sorry to hear about your breakup. I completed the 10-day course at Suan Mokkh in Jan 1997. I don't remember getting a pillow, but I wouldn't have used it, if it was wooden. I know I wasn't given a mosquito net. I never smoked, so I wouldn't have found that to be an issue, but I definitely see how that could be a major problem with smokers. For me, caffeine withdrawal stop being a major problem after only two days without. I found the two vegetarian meals to be adequate, despite quite a bit of exercise. We weren't running marathons, but we were still obligated to complete our daily chores, and I tried some rudimentary yoga, and my meditation preference was the Burmese walking style, so much more often than not I was on the go. ... If I'm not mistaken, I believe that 70 to 80% of the participants in my session successful completed the course (with the women having a slightly higher level of success.) ...
Nicely done Franc! 5 days in those conditions you did really well I'd say. I can honestly say I've never heard of a wooden pillow nor would I want one.
Good to hear from you franc, sorry about yourself and Sarah, i have subscribed to her new channel, look forward to your onward journey, best of luck mate. 🙏
My mother used to go on wellness retreats, they took away coffee and she would get a migraine all week. Its difficult to cut out one thing from our diet let alone multiple thing's, with the added circumstances Its understandable why you found the retreat difficult. Look after yourself mate, try to keep in touch with other friends, don't lose those connections.
For sure. I could have gone in better prepared, but first time, so there'll always be some teething issues. Thank you mate, appreciate it. I'm nearly there.
Hi mate...sorry to hear that news. i really love you guys...2 such awesome people !!! Life's seasons are always changing, nothing lasts forever unfortunately. but I was rooting for you 2 to make it together. Life is indeed about the journey not just the destination. We miss so much always focusing on the future or the past that it's easy to lose what's right in front of us. Hope you are doing ok
Rod! So good to have you back. It's a shame, but that's just how it goes. Spot on about the now, i'm really trying to just slow it down and take it all in. Only get to live the present once!
Nice to see an uodate from you. Sorry to hear that the retreat didnt work out as planned, but it seems that your body had other plans for you. When i was a kid i was enamored by Egyptian history and found that they slept on wooden pillows. I eventually found one that was oortable and folded so it was like an x but the top was curved. I used it for years when laying on the floor watching TV. It was fine if i was laying on my back, but sucked if i tried to lay on my side. 5 days is enough time to get a good look i to yourself and jm sure there was some great pondering and healing done. Enjoy your brothers wedding and your trip up to the frigid climates. Haha. I hope we are in the same place again one day soon. It would be awesome to hang out with you again.
Thanks man, good to hear from you again. Looks like you had a ball in Vietnam. Crazy that you went for it intentionally, though knowing you, it isn't really. I usually sleep on my front, so sleeping on my back was a struggle... and a solid wood pillow didn't help haha Thank you sir. I can't wait and i've purchased a new hoodie so i'm just about all set! I'll let you know when i'm back and we can meet somewhere in the kingdom of wonder!
Hi franc, yay finally you posted a new video 🎉🎉🎉

I've seen wooden pillows before but they did actually look like a pillow rather than a block !!!
haha! This one was straight wood! It was slightly more comfortable than expected... but how comfy can a piece of wood be!?
