My parent have had both 740 and 940, both with automatic. The 940 being a Turbo model, defo was a good car. Only bad thing about these Volvos is fuels consumption.. :)

@@WannaSeeAutos Fuel consumption indeed, that's why my 940 runs on LPG 🙂 (only 1.04 euro per liter)
And a automatic transmission does not help the fuel consumption.
I'm about to buy a 740 SE 1991. With automatic. And same 2.3
Prices fluctuate a lot nowadays. Now it's 0.87 euro per liter 😎
