In conducting Silvaco TCAD simulations, I've delved into the intricate details of advanced dual-junction solar cells, specifically those based on InGaP and GaAs materials. These simulations offer a unique window into the behavior of carriers, optical properties, and material interfaces within these complex structures. By meticulously adjusting parameters such as layer thickness, doping concentrations, and junction designs, I've aimed to optimize key performance metrics like open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current, and fill factor. Through this process, I've gained invaluable insights into the nuances of semiconductor physics and device operation, informing the design of next-generation photovoltaic systems.
