Love the story of the tree especially since you were able to get a tapping scar in there.
The best part is that I totally didn't expect that, the last time they tapped it was before I was alive, so I had no idea!
Really beautiful, Paul. The drawer was ingenious. The back story is great, too. It's always good to see another Jackman video. The possibility of two of you is still scary after all these years, though (lol). Take care.
Bill
I'm not sure that even I could handle 2 of me haha
Apart from the missing pallets this was classic Jackman: Lots of epoxy resin, crazy glueups, lots of clamps, a big thing spinning on the lathe, Arbortech carving, CNC-ing, and a crazy amount of editing. I have said it before and I'll say it again: You're the best video editor among makers/woodworkers. Cheers Paul
Beautiful table. Bonus, it looks like a mini tree.
I'm glad you see it too!! That was the goal, kind of like a floating tree
Haha, I was like “what the hell is talking about?” And then “ohhhhhhhhh🤪”
This table is amazing. Honestly, I was shocked to see a video that didn't use pallet wood. But I was absolutely NOT disappointed with what I saw. AWESOME!
That is one of the best pieces of furniture I've seen for a while, especially among all the epoxy works. I mean I love river tables and any wood-epoxy hybrid, but this one just knocks it out of the park. What a wonderful table!
Now I've seen everything. Jackman project without pallet wood. Beautifull work. Big like.
And just imagine, the pallet slats just had to watch me ignore them, so cruel!
Excellent results, love the fit of the drawer and contrast of the base and top.
Hi, really you are not only a good and professional carpenter but also an artist. Love from Iran 🇮🇷
Love the finished look of the base, and the top turned out great + the history of the tree only adds to it.
Thanks!! The finish on the base was really fun, different from what I've normally done, but oak is fun to play with like that
Браво мастеру, грандиозная работа, просто восхищён!!!!
Very cool build! I recently did a similar maple end grain slab but I never considered a drawer or turning a base. Beautiful and creatively unique, well done!
Secret Drawer Slab Table which is very good. I admire you. You are really a clever person
Just found your channel via UA-cam recommendation. Wow, I knew within the first half a minute that I'm subscribing to your channel. By the end of the video my mind was boggled by how entertaining and good your editing/production is, nevermind your amazing creation!
Very nice build, love the history about it at the end. This is one of those projects that didn’t really speak to me, but it was you so I knew it would be an enjoyable video, and yes, it was enjoyable AND i wound up loving the project. Thank you.
Great Table (beautiful), great story, and great video. Thanks for sharing.
Nice to see you back!!!
Hey! Much respect to that tree! I honestly believe you used every tool in your shop to make this beefy, awesome coffee table! I'm wishing it's for your grandmother.
This piece I'm keeping, but I have some more of this maple that I'm saving to make something for her
No one will ever be able to see the nice work you did in the underside of the pedestal!
The drawer is slick!
Love the historical and family connections with this.
Very nice work! Thanks for sharing.
Very cool project with a great family story to go with it! Thanks for sharing.
Paul, Your video presentation is incredible, just a bit of dry humour to make a project more interesting. I have a couple of table projects that are stalled because of the question; "What kind of legs to use?" Spindly metal rods with wood does not work, laminated free form wood legs are possible, and then you come up with pedestal and paint it black to make it disappear. What a concept!
I know that I will have to build a router sled very soon and experiment with it.
Thanks for the very best video.
Really cool. loved this project
Great stuff, just keep on keeping on
Wonderful Work and Excellence.
Wow !! Fantastic !!
Thank you! Cheers!
If you sold that in London you would be a very rich man. Very skilled and entertaining as well. Best regards from England.
Awesome job
Gorgeous and the drawer is genius !!!
Absolutely loved the video!! This table is gorgeous!
Stunning, just Stunning.
Outstanding, thanks
Really happy to see you making content again, your work is top notch!! That base is baaaaad ass!
Amazing!! My mind is always blown!!!
Seems like I've been waiting forever for this video to come out. Well worth the wait though. The shape of this cookie alone is beautiful, and then you did all that to it. The base reminds me of the "space age" architecture of the 60's. The hidden drawer is a nice touch too. Really lovely work all around. Thanks for sharing!
Mama Mia. Loved your wood turning segment. Great piece of work
Beautiful build, fun to watch video and a cracking result
Good job, thanks for sharing
well done! love your content!!
Friggin awesome table Paul, great it's got family attachment too.👍
And that table is freeking awesome!
Love your videos man!
Beautiful piece! Really creative design and perfect execution.
I absolutely love your videos. So inspirational, Thank you
Wow man, that table has some history to it. I think it's really cool that you were able to finally give it a 2nd life now and like you said, it has sentimental value. The drawer was a really nice bonus.
Wonderful Work👍🏻
Keep going 👋🏽
Gasp! A project that's not made out of pallet wood. Good video. Loved the story that goes with it.
Awesome work!
Thanks dude!

Such a cool build man. Love that hidden drawer! Great video as well.
I'm mechanical engineer. I have no idea why I'm enjoying your video. It is so much healing with rough clearance.......!ha. It's really good job.
Amazing project. Drool worthy at the outcome. The built in drawer - genius execution. Had been anxiously awaiting the next project. Thanks for making it worth the wait. Pallet wood everywhere is jealous
Pallet wood wishes it could be this cool ;)
Whole project is awesome but the finish on the base turned out amazing! 👏
Dang, that was one hell of an edit. Loved how much you were timing the clips with the beat and tempo.
Very Cool !
Always a good day when I get a Jackman video.

"Using my perfectly adequate electric chainsaw" Hahaha! Love your commentary man!!

Awesome table. Your shop has come together really nice. Looks great.
beautiful table
Parabéns, belissimo trabalho.
That base looks unreal.
That dado around the top of the base for the z-clips was a cool idea.
Wow! Incredible. Um abraço aqui do Brasil 👍
Great, big, beautiful... 😍😍😍
Very nice.
That’s a funny lookin pallet! Nice table!
Oh god! This is amazing! 💘💘💘
amazing!

I am definitely trying that! Good looking table! I have a slab I have been saving. Not nearly as great as that one, but you gave me some ideas!
That is one sweet table jack.
Muito bom, ótimo trabalho
Spectacular Table !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You had me at "Big Ball Screws"
Drawer: WOW!!
Love the top, but that base really is the highlight for me!
J’adore la finition noire du pied, top!
awesome
I can always rely on Jackman for quality entertainment and interesting projects. Now if there could only be more Pat Lap...
Very cool…👍
Magnificent
that's a really impressive pallet
Great stuff as always. You deserve way more than 368k subscribers.
I have to apologize. I don't know why i didn't subscribe yet! 😳
Awesome build with a great history. Saw it on IG. The Video is great as ever! Keep on doing your thing!! Greets from Germany!!
Congrats on hitting 5 million followers on the Instagram, it seems like just yesterday you were at 90 thousand!
Been toting the tree around for 3 years and the video files for 5 months.... (Per the real time instagram..) Whatever just ball busting, great video!
Great build and backstory.
How did you stain the base? It looks great....and you know I'm all about that base.
"don't try this" - things I say to my friends all the time as I do ill advised, yet thoughtfully considered and carefully planned things my shop implements were never actually designed for. I laughed pretty hard at that disclaimer. Hit me right in the feels.
At first, I wasn't sure where you got the pallet wood for this project. *grin* Seriously great project and I love the idea of the story behind it all! Well done!
Sportin' my Jackman t-shirt today. ;)
