@@ansur1783 Even more monstrous then you might think to... seeing as the pen and paper rpg CP2077 is mostly based on is known as "Cyberpunk 2020" (the second edition of the pnp rpg)... so it is very deliberat on CD Projekt Red part to try and get CP2077 out in 2020. I mean that is partly why they released that first CP2077 teaser back in 2013... because the 1st edition of the Cyberpunk pnp rpg is often refered to as "Cyberpunk 2013" because it took place in 2013.
@Dabo Starting as Nomad feels most natural since both the protagonsist and the player are new in Night City. I might just start with corpo tho cause it seems so cool.
But it makes no sense and changes to the game at all. It's like playing skyrim as nord and replaying as elf. It's not like the whole game will change. Just a couple of dialogues.
I like that way of thinking about it. I like the brutalist, opulent and clean aesthetics of the corpo lifestyle. But I think I may go for Nomad. Like a refugee travelling to a new country, there's just much more of an incentive to work hard and do well.
Ok, the reason I’ll be a nomad is because I see a lot of potential to have a little bit of a mad max style to it, but also to start all the way outside of Night City, that right there feels right to enter this game like that.
Plus like it makes sense that you wont know anything about the city and stuff, whereas the other life paths should have alot of inside info the player doesnt have Also WITNESS MEE!!!

5:33 "How to get into Night City?" By a cut scene 15 minutes into the game. Boom, mystery solved.
22:30 "I hope you're not important to the story, cause I like your weapon..." I hope this means characters always drop the weapon you see them using. Always hate in RPGs when someone has a badass weapon and then you can't actually loot it once they're dead. Also sounds a little Borderlandsy with the different gun manufacturers having different traits, which is cool.
I agree. I rationalize it as if the gun or item was damaged in the effort to kill the enemy but it is still disappointing when I see someone shooting lasers and all I get in the drop is a slingshot.
Agree, but when you pisk up a new gun, you drop your old one. There needs to ba a balance, and carrying 10 different rifles with 10 000 rounds is absurd.
Kacper Włoch there could be a “chest” system where you slowly have to upgrade your weapon storage as you advance through the game. To upgrade your storage would be difficult for balance. Idk lol
Actually admire CDPR for totally fleshing out the game. They could've have *easily* released the game in a hurry and released the other lifepaths as DLC or expansion. They are crafting a masterpiece and masterpieces take time.
@@commanderleo Sorry but this is not true. Game development relies on agile planning and estimates, which is why it incredibly difficult to set precise schedules for anything. Maybe something they wanted to do within the game took longer than expected - if it is something innovative, how could they have known if nobody did this before? Maybe they discovered huge issues with bugs because things break a lot during development. While there are other publishers that would just go through with the release because nobody cares about bugs right, let us appreciate them taking some extra time to bring it up to their standards, no?
Year and years in development. So many teasers and clips building hype. All that money invested. The Polish government even chipped in. Here we are. I haven't always gone along with the hype along the way, but what I'm seeing here and now... That world, those details. I just want to explore and live in that freaky world for a while with those characters that inhabit it. Yeah, I'm ready for what I believe is the Game of the year, hell maybe even the decade.
Nomad will be my first playthrough. Trying to get into and explore night city, making a place for yourself, exploring every area, inch and corner. Streetkid is more of a rogue, low-key MC rising to the top type. And you literally know every inch of the city because you are a streetkid. Corpo seems like a thriller. Either a evil businessman or a normal. So much involving twists and politics. Having the future of Night city in your hands.
@@Christian-oi7sd care to give an example of games that prioritizes politics. also, keep in mind, video games are an art form. Art is usually quite "political" just because it's an expression of one's vision which can include political or social commentary.
@@orlogskapten4161 I agree with you on that, yet I think some studios produce games with some themes that just feel forced. Pushing political agendas for profit, that being in the gaming or cinema industry is still a reality. What's good about CDPR is that they really just want to make an awesome game without filters.
I think the first life path I'll play with is the Nomad. In a place like Night City, it seems like having formal ties and responsibilities can be a detriment, especially with how the Corpo life path was shown off. Someone who's "outside the system" so to speak would have the advantage of being a rogue element. It'd be interesting to see if a fully unarmed character is viable as well so that I could have a character who is completely and almost fully dependent on just himself. It'd probably have to be very stealth-heavy though.
I agree. and I feel like going Nomad is pretty friendly towards players that don't know anything about the Mike Pondsmith Cyberpunk universe. also I believe it was mentioned at some point that you can play the game without killing anyone (other than story relevant kills) and going full pacifist-stealth mode. and I assume going heavy into the "Cool" stat and focusing on dialogue will help aswell.
Nomad is definitely the 1st Path I will venture off into. I like the ability to actually travel to Night City and experience it for the first time along with my character.
Damn it. November feels like an eternity away! I have gamed my whole life 38 years old. Never have i ever been this excited about a games release. Says alot about cdpr!
I feel the same, never preordered anything ever, only bought a handful worthy games at release (full price), but I've been wondering what makes cp2077 so enticing. I believe it's a combination of a couple things, firstly I'm a sci-fi / cyberpunk / deus ex nut, absolutely love these themes. Then the scope and scale, what trailers show and what reviewers say, it's super dense and detailed with top notch quality and writing (I can overlook a lot of things, like in Mass Effect, when the writing makes the story just so pleasurable to experience). Then there's the CDPR themselves, I'm also from Poland but that doesn't really matter, absolutely loved W2 and W3, even W1, and the passion they've shown with the whole series. They can actually do it, they can change the whole industry, W2/W3 was the first step, a big 'fuck you' sign to EA Bethesda Ubisoft and all other 'AAA 60$ + Season Pass 30$ + Microtransactions XXX$' mobile games. Right now if I saw a similar concept from any of the companies mentioned, I'd laugh my ass off and just wait for them to fall flat on their face with their usual shenanigans, but CDPR can actually do it. They have all my thumbs, I want to believe and I don't give a single fuck what haters say. They can and hopefully will succeed, everybody wins in that case.

It probably ruins a lot of the mystery for replays though as you'll likely have insider knowledge. I'd rather play Nomad, Street Kid then Corpo to round everything off, learning more each play through.

That singer is a truly good guy too, it's not easy to be criticized for your output, but he's taking it like a true professional and it's clearly leading to a better product.... the guy saying it to him could be a little nicer about it though. :3
First: Nomad - New to Night City just like me so it should feel the most natural. Second: Street Kid - After learning about the city in my first playthrough, it should be more interesting to see what gang V was/is with and why. Third: Corpo - Hopefully you can be "evil" or at least Pro Corporation and if so that's what I'll do. If not, than after 2 playthroughs of learning about Corporations from an outside perspective, it should be more interesting, after so much time against them, to see what they're like on the inside.
I actually like this idea a lot :'D It makes 100% sense to go through the game the way you mentioned @KagenNoTsuki I'd like to add: For Nomad - I'll be playing with a straight-up run and gun play style. You are from the Badlands, you grew up in a rough environment, and you know how to take things by force. Gorilla hands are a must in this playthrough. (Character will be a dude) For Street kid - I'll be playing as a stealthy ninja. Melee weapons + mantis blades are a must. (Character will be a female) For Corpo - I'm going to go full Tech/Hacker build. (Gotta have a gender-fluid character for this) Get the full experience of the game ✌️😂 (I genuinely hope the playthroughs will be unique enough to warrant completing the game 3 times)
Now all makes sense! We kill Johnny for *his Legendary Killing Pencil* and then we realised that we need him for sake of lore so we actually go find *chip of Immortality or whatever* to rescue him.
7:36 This statement is a perfect example on how they tricked us with little lies and implications in their advertisment. Knowing what the maelstromer hands you to whiff doesnt change ANYTHING. He says another sentance than the other two options and then script goes back to the main line. Yet the dev implied "maelstromers would like you more for that in the future because you choose streetkid and proved yourself knowledgable"
which to pick first? simple, i just bought 3 computers so i will play every life path simultaneously. 10 minutes at monitor 1, switch to monitor 2, 10 minutes later #3 and repeat.
Honestly that a crazy and ridiculous idea. I mean more power to you. But thats so much time wasted on each character dialogue split. Idk just doesn't seem fun by any means if this is actually possible
And you are looking forward to an RPG? haha. I definitely know how you feel. I remember other games I'd do a lot of saving and reloading. This one, I am just going to save the other paths for the next round through.

Loved the different origins in that game. I went through and played the story for each one. I think at one point there was supposed to be a Human Commoner origin where you play as a peasant from Redcliffe, but it got cut.
I cringed so hard when I read that. DA:O was so far from the best game to use differing origins. Check out Saga Frontier on the PS1 for a good RPG that has multiple character story lines.

I'm glad Borys is still in the team. Was afraid they'd leave him out of this, I'm pretty sure he's the main reason TW3's different dialects had so much character.
I think its because they belive that a corpo cant go against a corpo. They're so blinded by politics to just listen to the game You're a blank slate but the life paths make for base affinity. I think Corpo has an air of seriousness to it which is pretty damn cool. That being said I think nomad will be my first playthrough, considering how I'm an outsider to the IP and Night City and I think that it's that much more immersive if you yourself is playing a character that is an outsider, coming into the world and making a name for himself.

And repeat on New Game + until the DLC packs arrive.
Cannot wait yay !
@Dabo Starting as Nomad feels most natural since both the protagonsist and the player are new in Night City. I might just start with corpo tho cause it seems so cool.

I hope this means characters always drop the weapon you see them using.

I actually like this idea a lot :'D
It makes 100% sense to go through the game the way you mentioned @KagenNoTsuki
I'd like to add:
For Nomad - I'll be playing with a straight-up run and gun play style. You are from the Badlands, you grew up in a rough environment, and you know how to take things by force. Gorilla hands are a must in this playthrough. (Character will be a dude)
For Street kid - I'll be playing as a stealthy ninja. Melee weapons + mantis blades are a must. (Character will be a female)
For Corpo - I'm going to go full Tech/Hacker build. (Gotta have a gender-fluid character for this)
Get the full experience of the game ✌️😂 (I genuinely hope the playthroughs will be unique enough to warrant completing the game 3 times)
I like the way you think, this is pretty much my plan as well.
tbh it sounds like easiest order of backstory choosing, if you respect the devs and the game itself you should give it a chance to challenge you.

gothicman03 I think you replied to wrong comment mate
@gothicman03 what this got to do with mad max nomads?
gothicman03 i think the dude just likes mad max and the beginning of that lifepath reminds him of it. you’re coming off really fuckin weird

Me: I'm gonna do a no-kills playthrough
Also me: So I could cleave people in half with one shot, very interesting
Yeah I want to do a no kill run but the guns seems so fun...
@@War_Magus Yeah indeed, seems like there is a lot of choice to make even gun wise and I don't want to miss it haha
Please CDPR, I have a wife and child. I’m going to forget about them when this comes out.
@Alt Swede exactly, you can give them 30 mins a day
I hope u don't get dumped fellow soldier bc with my gf, idk what can I do now
THIS
well it seems that the life path just boils down to 20 min prologue and that's it
Nope. There are 7 endings. LifePaths deal with that. (: Im playing all three at once. Its amazing the differences bro really. Goodluck out there Choom!
@@teealsay5575 Your life path has no affect on those endings whatsoever. They're actually based on if you did some of the more important side missions and your choices there, as well as your relationship with Johnny.

The heart that's going into this game is simply breathtaking.
I don't even think this qualifies as a game anymore. It's interactive art.
Davivd2 your not deep, its a game.
Davivd2 it’s just a game bro, but a game that is well above and beyond anything Activision, Ubisoft, or EA could of ever put out.
YOU’RE BREATHTAKING
15:48 I applaud this artist and applaud CDPR for choosing this humble of a man. As both a heavy gamer and a musician myself, I can see both sides. Being a musician means being able to put your own spin on things, but recording for a specific purpose, it's difficult to go against your instinct(s). As a gamer, the music can make or slightly break a game, depending on how good or bad it is......based on what I've seen so far, and I've watched/listened to every video and song, I'm super excited to see the combination of both good music and good storytelling. My fully-speced pre-order is in and I can't wait!
Usually I would skip these but I kept listening. He soundes genuine to me and now I find myself looking up their music.
A moment of silence for everyone waiting for this game who aren't here today anymore, and won't be on release. Fate robbed them.
Imagine waiting for it but dying to covid. Fuck dude that must be hard hope they get to play it in whatever afterlife they have

Spent insane hours on Witcher. Hours that I never spent on a game before, I'm not really a gamer type of guy, but this seems as big and open as the Witcher game. So excited.
I think it’s gonna be way better, I played the Witcher 3 after years of realease and acc didn’t play that much I got tired kinda soon
alessandro piergentili I don’t think these are similar games. One is a first person shooter future rpg based on an rpg and the other is a book based rpg in the third person in mid evil setting
You will notice the only thing they have in common is that they are rpgs and video games.
Conrad Korbol still gonna be an insane game developed by a good ass team, I also prefer the future setting compared to medieval age. I think it’s gonna be a better just because of the setting and I’m gonna spend way more time on it than I did with the Witcher
alessandro piergentili I mean, I agree, I just think it’s like comparing apples and oranges. They have a lot in common but just because you like one doesn’t mean the other is for you.
@@conradkorbol ? What? They have more in common than you think. They are both open world games. Except that cyberpunk will have a more evolved take on the open world genre. More mature and better.
Nomad: Fallout
Street Kid: GTA
Corpo: Deus Ex
Best game ever.
I was decided to play corpo first, then some comments left me balancing between corpo and nomad. Now my faith is renewed since Deus Ex is my favorite game. Thanks man

Spare a character? One holding a shiny gun?
It's time to seize the means of destruction.
ComradeWinston they be like “it will be hard to chose between killing them for a powerful weapon or--*bang* wait what you were supposed to think about letting him live”
"Oh hey look, Judy is holding this nice shiny gun" ...
Johnny Silverhand: Why did you kill Judy
V: She had a nice shiny gun...hold up Johnny. I've never seen a gun like yours before...
Me when I play rpgs. Yes I’m totally gonna be in character and RP the choices. Also me, murder innocent families for shiny loot and abandon companions to their fates.
If Marx was a gamer.
Honestly this looks sick. Every trailer i watch exceeds my expectations i cant wait
@Soloman S Good thing i have a pc then
All the people in these comments saying “I’m gonna be X” as if there’s no chance they’re gonna play it through at least three times.
Nope, not enough time in the day to spend on just this one game. One play through and done, on to the next.
Same, one playthrough unless there are mods that will change the game in the future. So for my first playthrough I'm gonna play as a Street Kid
