Way to go Linda! I don't know why I don't like Iga so much. Maybe because she waves her arms when she's at the net sometimes? Anyways, good to see her being gracious at the net after the match.

Noskova is a surprising newcomer with top level tennis. She has a big game like Rybakina and her shots look very well controlled & polished. Can definitely be a contender for slams. I’d have to say Iga might’ve been robbed by bad line calls. So many of Noskova’s shots looked out, but wasn’t called. In one point she hit 2 balls that looked out, and Iga hit one that looked half as out as her two balls, but was called out immediately. There were some balls I would’ve challenged as Iga because some looked in. Noskova played great, but in that match a few points did matter & quite a few have gone bc of bad line calls. Iga might’ve won the slam.
Still one of the best matches of the women's draw.
1:29 is clearly a hindrance from Iga & she does that a lot in the past. It's so annoying but let her fans tell you otherwise.
Better late than never. I'm impressed with Noskova's ability to not only match Iga's power but also dictate play with her forehand, something that Swiatek often does to her opponents.

It has become more and more obvious that Swiatek is not the real number one. Sure she is capable of racking up many points by winning the mickey mouse tournaments here and there. When she comes to the big stage with all her competitors ready to play their best, her game simply is not very competitive.

each defeat is a lesson. Iga learns these lessons much faster than any other player on tour. compare what she has achived at the age of 22 versus other players at that age.
