I remember this song when it first came out and it took over 25 plus years for Edwin to release per social media. I went to the curch near Castlemont high school in Oakland, Walter was the pastor. I'm 59 and this song is my 33 years of marital love commitment vision, my 6 kids w/6 PHD's and 12 grandkids. Thank you guys, represented...💕💕💕💕🏁🏁🏁
I was so very blessed by this group...especially you guys are singing a song I wrote years ago. Thanks again for the memories of how to keep trusting God.
@J Mitch Thank you for writing such an anointed song! Back in the day, I used to hear Carlton Pearson's choir at Higher Dimensions in Tulsa rock this song! I mistakenly thought that Gary Oliver penned this song. It's a beautiful, beautiful song. I was singing it to the Lord this morning and didn't know all the lyrics so, I looked for it and found the composer! GOD bless and keep you writing great songs of PRAISE.
OMG! Great Job!!! So beautiful just like I remembered this song from back in the day! I used to sing this song back in the 90's with my choir as a teen!!! The soloists did a fantastic job! So sweet! It's timeless!
Beautiful!! If I close my eyes and just listen I'd truly think it was the Edwin Hawkins Music & Arts Choir and the lead singers were James Mitchell & Yolanda Adams. WONDERFUL!!!!! May God continue to bless you all!
Dear Jesus, So many blessings you have rained on me through out the years. I do not deserve anymore, but I need you, like never before, Lord your all I have. I will trust in you. I will not give up on the Most High God.
I have looked for this song for so long and when I found it I was so happy. then when I saw this choir sing it I was blown away......Awesome patricia .........in Seattle WA
James Mitchell wrote this song in 1986. This song was recorded on the Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts album Give Us Peace. I would encourage everyone to get a copy. It has blessed my soul!
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS SONG!!!!! I've been looking for it for years. I don't think its ever been transfered to CD or MP3 format. A total shame....
My bad. Yolanda Adams is the female soloist for sure. The male soloist is unknown to me at this time. Darryl Coley leads on the song 'Spirit' on the "Give Us Peace" album by Edwin Hawkins. I dug up this cassette and I'm so glad that I did. Thanks for posting!
Can anyone tell me where I can find the original recording with Yolanda Adams please please please.. Oh yeah YALL SANG THIS SONG MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU AND THE CHOIR. GIRL U SANG FOR REAL!
I Wished i could send it to you it took about 12years for me to find it again its out of print but if you attend the Edwin&Walter Hawkin music and art seminar in june im sure you will find it and other hits by them.
