not necessarily, there are things called Herb Irons specifically for getting clean rips out out of glass, they’re rising in popularity again in the glass community. however given the time period and a lot of stories involving codie’s friends i wouldn’t be surprised if he DID actually use a soldering iron 😭

That can also happen just while taking hits, especially if you hold it too long or cough too long where you don't get enough oxygen to your brain. I can cause that feeling by holding a hit in too long regardless of what I'm smoking. Part of why I stopped holding in hits but sometimes I still get the feeling if I'm coughing too long and not able to inhale soon enough

Had a friend tell me a story of how he got a hole burnt into his mattress. They were smoking blunts with hash and the ember fell onto the bed without them noticing. It burnt itself about half way through the mattress before they noticed, then dunked a bunch of iced tea in to the now burnt out tunnel. The mattress is still here and so is its new cavern.

Quality bho , the butane will be fully removed , although it leaves miniscule residue that leaves the butane flavour , I often work with bho and I've learnt from others too just get some low grade commercial grade hash brick(10g's f 40) , powderise it and pound it into the bho too create something more work with able as that hash typically from Spain or morroco already has a petrol burn too it
