I’ve been saying this since FLEX Tools first launched, people are sleeping on this brand. Phenomenal quality tools. I’m a big supporter of Flex Tools.
The flex stack is so under rated in my opinion. Been having it for over a year now, I live in Phoenix where the heat is no joke. It sits out in my truck most of the time and it has not budge. Love the fact that I can integrate the new system to the first one 👌 🙌
I stopped and looked at a Flex bin today at the jobsite, and couldn't believe how rugged and awesome it was, with the twin "shocks" on the lid to hold it open. I opened my UA-cam after work today and the first recommendation was this Flex Stack video, which is super weird. (I didn't tell anyone that I saw a Flex "bin" at the jobsite).
Can you put the 2 drawer box as the bottom box on the rolling wheels?
If they release a rolling box with drawers next, Milwaukee gonna feel forced to release it 😈
If they do that before Milwaukee when everyone has been asking Milwaukee to make that that would be extremely frustrating. I have a lot of packout for work, but whoever comes out with that first, I don’t care if it’s Klein or Flex I would prefer Klein over flex, but I will move over to that system.
RIDGID is releasing this later this year there's pictures out already. The best part about it is you can put the dolly handle on any fucking box so your bottom box doesn't need to be your "bottom box"
4:24 “So many activities “. Sounds like that movie Stepbrothers when they build the bunk bed. 😂
A dust collection system would make this system an instant purchase for me. Hopefully they watch you!
This is like a late-night infomercial 😂
Love it Flex is what is next!
BIG BRAIN IDEA : keep multiple wood replacements with the different attachments already on for example :one with a vice , one with a large top, one with the Saw track , engraved measurements.
Big brain indeed! I'm going to give this some thought
If Flex snack pack doesn't make boxes for my pudding cups, then I don't want it.
🤣
Lol
I would buy a whole stack pack set if they came out with a vacuum/dust collector-As well as an air purifier too. I work HVAC and I’m always in very nasty basements & attics. Dirt/debris always getting kicked up from sweeping or shaking the pipes in the ceiling. Vacuum/dust collector/ air purifier would be the best creation for a modular toolbox
I'm too invested in Packout to turn back now... but if I could I definitely would.
I’ve been buying modular tool boxes for years and still use every one of the systems I’ve invested money in!
I am the same. Flex is pretty sweet
I was about to finally take the plunge into packout but I think I will have to hold off now. Thanks for the heads up!
Any time!
@@VCGConstruction in your opinion has Flex considerably narrowed the gap between themselves and PackOut or do they still have a ways to go?
I feel Milwaukee has some features Flex doesn't have and vice versa, so just choose the features that you like the best. Milwaukee build quality might be a little better but if you take care of you stuff either should last for years. @@txvet7738
@@txvet7738 not that you were asking for my opinion but I think they are just as good as pack out… they have just as many options. Flex and pack are also the only pack systems that have the overhead cabinet option. Which I think is neat if you use them in a van or work trailer.
(I spent like a month looking at all the different systems and flex is what I decided on lol)
@@kandicesites ToughBuilt is coming out with a work top so do I want to wait is the question….lol
# 1. Just want to say hope everyone is doing good. Peace and love, great videos VCG keep up the great work 👍
Thanks Terry, hope you’re doing well!
@@VCGConstruction doing pretty good. Man you've saved me alot of money over the time you've been doing this
Freaking awesome i cant wait 4 their newest products qe love flex tools
Man handling that router! Dig it!
This system is looking better and better.
That dust collector idea is genius.
Yeah it is. Would be perfect for the stack packs
@@terrysanders7933 I use the ridgid 18v vacuums as a sawhorse/dust collector. IT mounts to their stack now.
You can't always be the first to the game but you can definitely make it better.
If I had contractor money to invest, it would absolutely be the Stack Pack for me. As it stands, I will have to hold my breath for the Skil box system coming out next year (probably).
I just want a cup holder for a Yeti or Stanley cup! My hubby and I each have Flex Stack Packs and use them for officiating track meets. They holds a ton of gear and we love them!
VGC. Thanks for sharing this video. I’m on the phone with Ohio Tools now 👍🏿
Great video brother.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks Joseph! 👍🏻
I ended up trying to pack out, the DeWalt tough stack 2.0 and the toughbuilt stack Tech. I ended up keeping the Toughbuilt Stack Tech because of how easy the boxes clicked together and all the stuff they're coming out with this year is just mind-blowing!
Cant wait to add the drawers and that crate with the work top
Dust collector would be cool but should have two sources of power an ac adapter or battery powered
The only reason I even started with a Packout system is because of the shop vac. Flex has some smart designs, but appears to still lack some major pieces I would like.
This is an exciting time for tools - FLEX
Flex is my next Ecosystem i am investing in.
Ingenious.
This made my dayyyy 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
FLEX is surely the ultimate!
As a service tech loading and unloading my boxes all day the biggest drawback that most of the packouts have is no top handle on all there boxes except Rigid
Go Vince!
I've always thought that Stack Pack was 🔥
Thanks Redd! 👍🏻
As a packout owner I hope Milwaukee steels some of the features flex has offered, a lot of really cool little quality of life improvements.
Basically the Milwaukee packout system in another color. Great
These look sweet
Schweet!
Tuning in from socal so just window shopping
Still waiting for someone to make rolling cart with bottom being a drawer or drawers.
I was actualy buy the first gen, great ill wait for the gen 2. Great system
🔥 fire
Id be lining up work
Yeah, it's real nass like
What’s the Nassist thing about them in your opinion Flint?
@@VCGConstruction so much nass'ness . Love the flip table and drawers the most
Vince... you forgot to go over the bags in detail...
Also, if Flex reads this, id like a new job site radio thats stack compatible with a bit more umph than the current radio..
I’ll see what we can work up, thanks!
Best Way to Organize Hand & Power Tools!
Fantastic!
Thank you! Cheers!
I wish they would make a lower rolling cabinet or drawer
They do have a cabinet it snaps on the caster wheel base.
Thats fine and all but I still prefer the DS carrier for getting around job sites and stairs.
I just purchased the 3 piece stage 1 unit.
Waiting to see your reviews of the new toughbuilt stacktech coming out
Toughbuilt Stacktech looks a really good sytem that will challenge Flex and Milwaukee
Looks good. I rebuilt my primary Packout stack a year ago, so not likely to buy into the Flex Stack, but if they would have had drawers and crate a year ago I'd have considered them. I do still think the Packout latch system is still superior though.
Red European corded Flex dust extractors are rebranded Nilfisk extractors, so are the Mirka, ect.
Thank for the look.
Fair enough Character! 👍🏻
I want a lock on it. People seem to go into my tool box when i am in an appointment and miss work for a day
Finally!
Vince, when you took the factory wood top off to replace it with a marine wood piece. You said you were trying to be dainty with the wood. Just at that point, my UA-cam cut to a far from dainty commercial for Cologard cancer test. 😂😂
Not real Nass like 🤣
I own packout and stack pack. I will always grow my packout because it is still the king and the marketing is amazing. However the FLEX is probably even better. A different direction but could be better box for box. Plus lifting struts on the lids. They parked a Jeep on a stackpack i saw.
But as it stands even if i wanted to get more stackpack at any given time, its hard to get if not impossible in many cities. Packout is available in every community now.
can the three drawer box fit on the big rolling box .? i noticed one is 22” and one is 15” something
I just put two and two together and saw your trailer l, you live down the street from me
I just picked up the flex boxes on sale a few days ago and I’m excited to get started transferring my tools into them, but one thing I just realized is that the drawers aren’t weatherproof. My toughsystem 2.0 drawers have a gasket and it kind of bums me out to lose that feature to gain the features of flex.
3.9 stars. I purchased 3 stack pack systems in last 2 months.
#1. That handle on the cart box is not close to being strong enough to support all 3 boxes when loaded with tools. The up to 500LB is nonsense. I had 50 Lbs combined in 3 boxes and was not strong enough.
#2. What is the point of having a label compartment on the top of every box lid if they leak.
Lol hope you are happy with all the free stuff from flex for doing these videos on UA-cam.
Can you fit a skilsaw 10 1/4 in those boxes?
I probably hav 75% of flexes lineup. I need more boxes I guess. Flex if you're listening, hook me up.
vince! heres an idea for your custom work tops: how about having 2x flex stacking towers. then you can have a bit of a gap between them, and you can bridge the gap by a longer plank of wood. or a couple of 2x4s or somethin. then you can have yourself what is basically a much bigger / wider surface. as a substitute for saw horses, or a like you can have your own jobsite office desk, pull up a chair in-between them.
Hey Vince!! These out in the stores yet?
Oooooooooo. W😍W. Cool. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Cool Mike!
Do these fit on toughsystem? Seems like they have the same set up. Would be awesome since they are from the same parent company and dewalt refuses to come out with more stuff
Not bad
Did the man just spend a minute starting from 2:08 telling us we could carry tools in a crate? Anyways, the cabinet and the dolly have virtually decided on this being the system I invest in.
flex are you listening ??!!? we also need a half height version of the crate, and please come to the uk. we also need to be able to buy these in united kingdom. so much! please pretty please and thank you... because the lack of drawers was my only critique of the version1. and now they are so awesome!
well actually come to think of it... does not need to be a half height crate, just a rugged insert that 2 can fit and stack up nicely inside the full sized crate. so just a couple of trays per crate basically (but with decent sized lip / hand holds / carry handles integrated on either side). and this would be ideal... in fact probably even better than a half sized crate. so many thanks flex people. just wish i could get these. over here in uk we have dewalt, which has like 2-3 couple of good box types. but it's just in no way a complete system.
another thing you guys can start thinking about is rack / metal frames to go into sprinter vans, so in other words a rails system to install into trucks and vehicles. that these boxes can clip into. this is what we already have for systainers commercially. but i think for these flex boxes, with the drawers and the crates would probably be even more useful than for the systainers. so please consider that also. perhaps if its out of the scope of your own organization, then could instead be a collaboration or partnership with another existing company. whom already specializes in those sorts of racking frameworks solutions for commercial vans. and of course other than the mercedes sprinter, there is also alternatives like the new ford transit. and serveral other common trucks, vans and popular vehicles.
Flex is already sold in the uk/eu just with 18v tools and a Bosch stack kind of system not nearly as big as the stack pack boxes but on the level of systainers
@@austinroessler7705 ah interesting... so are you saying that because co-company flex has already a pre-existing company competing here... that flex usa brand is not allowed to compete with itself? thus due to branding agreements flex usa product lines being unable to be distributed here? dang because i really wish that was not the case.
we need stack pack back pack
Say that 10 times real fast! 🤣
Love flex, just hope the roll out for these are better than the band saw and router. SO slow
Router is pretty awesome! 👍🏻
Can you put a skilsaw 7 1/4 in it?
What about a table saw and miter saw battery powered from Flex. That’s what I want. Maybe even have to table saw be a part of the stack pack too.
the dust collector would it came handy when you cut that board
Hi Guys!!! Flex vs Packout reminds me of the VHS vs BetaMax competition decades ago. BetaMax (Flex) was technically better than VHS (Packout), but VHS (Packout) had a jumpstart on market share. I think Flex has a big challenge in getting that market share from Packout. But, who knows, it might happen! On a side note, hey Vince, do the Flex drawers have any gasket seals around them for protection from water conditions?
Good comparison Bryan, and great question about the drawers… I’ll show you what they offer shortly! Thanks!
FLEX STACK PACK Drawers Water Proof or Resistant?
Flex's biggest challenge in my limited view is actually stocking boxes in a store. I'm STILL waiting for gen 1 small organizers.
There are 2 problems. The Flex logo is not sufficient. And the plain grey color. The drab grey is nice looking, but perhaps it should be polished gloss grey, like Makita's gloss turquoise. They should have paid $10 million to the best artist on Earth, to create a 1930's style vintage "Flex" badge for their tools, and they should have made the badge out of real metal on their premium products. I would pay an extra $100 for a toolbox with a beautiful rare looking emblem on it. The problem with Milwaukee and why I probably won't buy more of their tools is because their logo is painted on with fragile paint that rubs off during normal use, so it looks like hell after light use. Tools never had such flimsy and crappy logos on them. The Flex logo is more heavy duty and is heavily embossed, so I think their tools are already better quality than Milwaukee. But they need a special insignia. Look how bad as "Kia" cars are now with their new insignia.
They don't have much of a chance now. You go to Lowe's, Flex's only store, and there's like 7 different nearly identical case systems. They all got drawer units, blah blah blah. There's Klein, Flex, Kobalt, Toughbuilt, Craftsman, and DeWalt! All in one frickin store.
Packout are sold everywhere, at every hardware store besides Lowe's. They're bright red. They dominate the floorspace. Everyone thinks it's the best brand. Flex never had a chance, but now it's gonna be even harder for them
VCG construction Vince that's what I'm taking about now your taking serous business flex Intemenaitor the generation of tools the best of the best
CLEARANCE. Vince, I was at Lowes today and many FLEX have yellow clearance prices and still the Founders Warranty. Any ideas why?
Did you ask them? Inventory differs from store to store!
I reached out to Barnaby himself. He and I both live in Grand Rapids, MI and he and I are old friends from his days as a newscaster before he became Chervon brand rep extraordinaire! It was because they are moving out non-power stack battery pack-ins to make way for the new stuff! @@VCGConstruction
Are you gonna get the tough built stack tech that just dropped?
Do the drawers lock shut for transport like the packout drawers?
looks yes. Vince lifted the black lock grip of the drawer front to open it and access, it looks a self-locking design
Key Feature on Stack Pack Drawers!
Flex, tools on steroids!!!
for sure he drilled that screw through the plastic
You mentioned this is a gen 2. I was trying to figure out how it was a gen 2 but it is actually a phase 2 not a gen 2?
*_Wave 2, thanks for the correction.... i probably have so many confused.... we all appreciate it!_*
Tough built is definitely gonna be king, glad i held out and didn't buy any modulars yet.
Flex ! We need ammo boxes !!
Vince do you have any info as of the availability of Flex in Europe?
Cause I've looked for it but it seems they haven't entered the EU market for some reason unfortunately...
They are originally from Germany, only 18v batteries over there and are a bit expensive comparatively. However they use a bosh Lboxx kind of system instead of a big modular system like stack pack. they also have a miter saw for the market over there but I believe are missing some tools for the USA market at the moment.
@@austinroessler7705I'd really like to see a USA Flex compact miter saw. Incorporate some European stylings, and/or Makita 40v rails.
Flex nail guns would be nice too. As well as some smallish stacked lithium 2.0 batteries for said finish nailers and impacts.
I've recently added Flex to the 3 other platforms I'm on, and I can say that every Flex tool I have, feels like a solid well built tool. And of course heavy lol.
I believe them rails makita has a patent on it. I got the 40v makita miter. Hands down greatest miter saw ever. Expensive af, but worth it.
Put dog holes in it for clamping
That’s not a terrible idea Jinerson, maybe just a few so I don’t need to remove too much of the structural material from underneath!
If they had this sooner I would have went this route rather than the packout.
They need a folding side work platform
They have a folding side shelf on their website.
@@freighter1097 it's not a side shelf it's a shelf that holds a whole box to the wall
@@craigchiddo2794 I didn't realize that when I was scrolling. Thank you for pointing it out. That said, I could still see that being mounted to the side and adding the work top to it for a folding work surface.
@@freighter1097 they seem to have clips that mount to the sides if they combine the two they got it
😮wait.... Did flex just milwaukee😂milwaukee?
They waukied them? 🤔
Why did you edit out how you take the boxes off? You went from grabbing the box to putting it on the other stack without unclipping it when that's a main difference between flex and packout. I like the crate more than the packout one.
I know how important organization is ... But good gravy it seems so expensive for a fancy stack of boxes. I know it's for pros or home owners with money to burn but ughh that's rough.
Flex is going to take off. The red is not going to be happy.
💸💸💸💳💳💳
But we all already spent money on Milwaukee and DeWalt.....
Dewalt is becoming #3 in the pro lane. Chevron is stepping up 😮
Milwaukee needs to step it up. Big time!
Bye, bye my money....
🤣
Dolly won't connect to your bottom Stack Pack box with wheels from Gen. 1 0/10. Should have had a way to connect or hang the Dolly to the Gen 1. main three boxes.
Alright Milwaukee, time for you to step it up! Lol
Old carpenter cool system ps close your mouth when routing lol
🤣 thanks for the tip! 👍🏻
sale pitch. lol like oxyclean. see him cut the wood like a maniac, smoking wood lol. use a skill saw or something
Lol good old Flex just plagiarizing Milwaukee’s packout with a different color and a slight spin.
