Fantastic! Well done, everyone! And loved the "Jeff Goldblum-as-Scarecrow" voice acting!
I want Coolio as scarecrow
It was actually supposed to be nicolas cage
I would’ve liked either as scarecrow for the Burton verse
Very good job, bravo!!!! I am 52yrs young and enjoyed this more than a few of the big budget movies, thank you Devin, salute!
This is great. Would’ve loved to have seen this in live-action.
Let's do it
Loved the voice work on Harley Quinn! Very true to the animated series. Great job!
Despite this being a fan made script in the early 2000s, this is still a good read.
I wanted to try to get this out quickly, so people have some more entertainment during this time, please forgive any imperfections. I am also aware this probably isn’t the actual screenplay for Batman Unchained, but a fan written one. However, it’s the only one I could find, and I think it gives a pretty good idea of what could have been. I did change some elements to try to bring it closer to what has been describe through interviews about the intended film. As a 90’s kid, this series has always been a guilty pleasure of mine and I hope you all enjoy this production.
Hey. Could you do the unproduced Wonder Woman movie. I think it could be quite a fun one to do. It was like a Nolan like, modern day take on the wonder woman movie. They took it off line, but its good. I can send it to you, if you are up for it.
Thanks for this. This is great.
With Enough Prep Time TheNerdMan that sounds super interesting, I do have a few ideas in mind for what’s next, but I’m always open, I’d love to read it.
I can send it to you. Have you got an email for your youtube account? Only problem is it does not have the final climax showdown with Ares. But everything else is there. Called Wonder Woman Daughter Of Destiny.
They used parts of it in the Wonder Woman movie that we got in 2017.
I can also help you with acting voices if you need to. I´m pretty good at it. Will defo share your channel ;)
@@TheNerdMan2 yup its just in my info
This really feels like a sequel to Batman and robin from the good all days, even the acting is in that realm although slightly better than the movies lol. Great work, would love to collaborate someday.
This is truly remarkable and above all,IT's ABOUT DARN TIME THEY DID THIS ...I've always wanted to see this in Live print, but boy, this was so the Batman Five we needed after Batman and Robin and most of all, this is well narrated, to the part I was even dreaming of this, when sleeping hearing this. As to what Devin Davis said, this is not the official script, but for a fan made audio, this is truly impressive, I would like to hear more of unused scripts as audio stories, they are really entertaining... good job.
I have another confession too ...I've been waiting for this since 1999 ...it's been 20 years WHOH time does fly by
This is really good it feels very Tim Burton
I wasn't too keen on the Mad hatter illusion thing, I do understand that in the original script his role was taken by Cornelius Stirk who had the ability to make hallucinations that made him look like other people. I think that instead of mad hatter useing the same ability I think that he could instead mind control the people he shape shifts into, piloting them from a large computer console back in his own base for example in the scene where mad hatter brings crane his equipment at the school, while they have their conversation the camera could roll back from mind control man and the mad hatter in his base when he talks the mind control man talks almost like a phone Tech communicates to crane through the mind controlled man. That's how I would have done it but other than that you did a great job
Very nicely done in terms of giving an unfinished script the Audio Drama treatment.
It's also neat seeing the entire 80's/90's Batman series finally come to a proper close in this video.
And whether or not Joel Schumaker (May He Rest In Peace) intended for that to happen.
It was also sweet as Heaven seeing Dick Grayson transition From Robin to Nightwing in this.
Which is what he should have been since Chris O Donnell was the appropriate age to play Nightwing in Batman And Robin (Robin in both Batman Forever and BAR should have honestly been played by a child actor).
Although it kinda bugs me seeing we have 3 villains in this once again. Repeating the same problem Batman And Robin had.
If you think about. Scarecrow is all this story really needed in terms of a main big bad threat.
In Batman 89. We did not need to have The Joker, Poison Ivy, Clayface, Riddler, Penguin, And Scarface/Ventriloquist dancing to Prince music while splashing paint on museum art.
One villain doing that is more than enough. If anything. You could have saved Mad Hatter and Harley Quinn for a sequel film in which you introduce Tim Drake or Jason Todd as Robin.
Also. I do find it odd seeing how Batman killed Scarecrow at the end.
In spite of telling Robin how killing is horrible in Batman Returns and how he felt awful for having Killed so many people and wanting to better.
Heck. It's like Linkara said in his reviews of the Batman film comic adaptations. "Killing The Joker Didn't magically bring his parents back from the Dead" "Placing A Bomb On That Henchmen didn't make all his trauma go away".
Also. Speaking Of That scene where Batman hears all the voices of Villains he's fought and defeated.
It's just a shame that wasn't set up like one proposed scene where it's Batman being put on Trial by all his his villains he's encountered in the past films (Which I imagine being something similar to the end of Pink Floyd's The Wall and The Animated Series Episode The Trial).
But I digress.
Still. A fine job done on the Audio Drama (Someone should see about turning this into a comic book at some point). I'm willing to bet that if certain issues with the script were fixed and Warner Bros just let Schumaker make the film he wanted rather than making a stupid toy commercial. This actually could have been a really good Batman film (Not the best ever, but something good at least).
God bless and have an amazing day.
This is incredible!!! Thanks for the sneak peak at the plot ... it’s always been on my wishlist and thanks for sharing. I loved everything about it
The intro had me the moment I heard it ❤️
I can def hear Atkinson in Mad Hatter, yeah ! Good Golblum Scarecrow, too (Dr Burton has a bit of Helena Bonham Carter, maybe). Cool stuff, more a "full cast" audiobook (oh ?) than audio drama (missing sound effects), still, love it
This is honestly as GREAT Batman Story! Extremally well Written! Amazing Job!
This was one truly OUTSTANDING video you guys performed for this script! Cheers!
Also, I like the notion that Jeff Goldblum playing the Scarecrow rather than the rumored casting of Nic Cage. Mainly due to Cage being associated with Burton's Superman Lives around this time frame, and I think Warners would have shot down Cage being cast for the Scarecrow when he was, for all intents and purposes, their Superman at that stage.
Goldblum was coming off of Jurassic Park: The Lost World just a few years prior, so his profile was in keeping with the pattern of major celebs for Batman villains during this era.
He has the voice for crane but he needs a more demented voice for Scarecrow
This was freaking awesome, excellently performed with brilliant production values.
I wish the actual film would’ve gotten made.
Though it’s odd. Some sources I read said Silverstone was going to be back when others said she wasn’t
Thank you Devin for your hard work. And most def can't wait to check this out.
A minute in, already 👏 amazing
Great story and acting.
Your reading of Crane is amazing. Great work.
2:18:56 The Court of Villians.
Nicolas cage - Scarecrow
Sheri moon zombie - Harley Quinn
Rowan atkinson - Mad Hatter
😂..You guys did a good job....I really enjoyed this book.
This is awesome! Even if I hate hearing my own voice. Haha.
Great job, you did really well.
I know what you mean! I dont even like sending voice notes because my voice sounds totally diferent to how it sounds to me when i talk.
I think it’s funny how Jonathan Crane sounds like Jeff Goldblum as he did actually play Ichabod Crane once.
Didn’t know Jeff Goldblum was playing as the Riddler
Fantastic work you make Davin Davis !!!! Please do the same with Superman lives script, the Wesley Strick version, because that version Is the one Tim Burton loves !!!
Wow keep it up. Good vibes
This is well written

Thank you
Awesome stuff! Thanks for the upload!
Loved it!
All kind of nice!
I do have several things I like. The way Batman and Robin grow as a unit and become better hero’s being the strongest part as well as the scarecrow and mad hatter being pretty delightful to imagine ( props to the scarecrow voice actor) I will say the story could use a little more with the hallucination at the end and have Batman have conversations with a few key villains and that might’ve made for some good drama. But like I said this was impressive and did a great job tying In all the movies together. Nice work!!
Good job
Brilliant voice acting all around. They should have made this instead of Batman & Robin.
I like them both, but after listening to this, I wish this had been a real movie.
I loved it
Nice thanks!
I bloody love this mate 🙌 would you ever do a sequel to this??
I love your scarecrow voice
I can see why they couldn't do this as a movie.. Story and timeline mish-mashed. Robin has already Partnered up with Batman? Yet, the newspaper Harley Quinn sees states 'Joker Dead'.
EDITED: And Robin becoming Nightwing already.
Excellent bro
Definitely like the origin of Harley being a circus performer over a psychologist. Makes more sense in my opinion.
So this has inspiration from the Scarecrow subplot from the Kightfall Arc. On its Scarecrow and Mad Hatter instead of Scarecrow and Joker.
Ruston Henry it’s interesting that elements of this story were then used for Arkham Knight. I love seeing how authors and creators take inspiration from each other.
Hey, a bit of an update. After talking with the people in the Marvel Fanscripture Discord Server, and they said that they would be okay with it if I did the Spider-Man 4 Audio Drama, but I'm just wondering if you would like to be in it though?,
Needs sound effects
Is Scarecrow doing a Jeff Goldbloom voice? Because that's perfect!
Kai Creech yeah that was the inspiration haha
He was initially gonna play Scarecrow when this was in development.
@Devin O'Brien Maybe he was but I saw something about Jeff Goldblum was suppose to play him.
So far Harley being in a circus clown when she was joker's psychiatrist
I wish they would've used the batman forever theme for the intro.
Who else got mad Jeff Goldblum vibes from Scarecrow?
Ye
In the script this is based on Harley is Jokers daughter not stalker. Also man bat is the secondary antagonist not Mad Hatter. You should have titled this something else since you changed story beats from the original script.
It might be a different script altogether.
@@theunknowncommenter725 Then it should be titled something else.
Why does Scarecrow sound like s combo between Jeff Goldblum and Christopher Walken?
Maybe with Val as Batman/Bruce..
Still a shame Batgirl isn’t in this but great nonetheless!
When and what is the next one coming out?
This is good, but you might need to put more thought into how an audio script works VS how a visual script.
As an example, You have the narration over-describe conversations: we don't need to know if a character looks away or picks up a drink or something; all the important emotions should be conveyed by the actor's performance. Interrupting the discussion with a narrator just breaks the flow.
Great work overall!
Kai Creech I agree, this was a film script that we just read aloud. If I were to write it specifically for an audio drama I would write it very differently.
@@devindavis2940
If I were to finish an audio script and submit it, would you be willing to consider it?
Kai Creech i have a few ideas in the works for future productions, but I’m always open.
@@devindavis2940 Would you ever be open for doing the Neo-Raimiverse Spider-Man scripts (Spider-Man 4-6, and the Spectacular Foes scripts) as an audio drama series?
@@gallifreyanknight1355 id definitely consider it if I had scripts for them
are you going batman 3 tim burton
Where did you get the script?
Awesome! But since Mad Hatter's power is so similar to Clayface's shape-shifting, you should've just made Mad Hatter Clayface, hopefully you'll do a sequel to this with him in the future, anyways, great audio drama!
I wonder why they stole used weapons after they stole Wayne Tech weapons.
Can never have to much artillery against Batman.
Odd title,great story.
Alfred seems so bored

At Arkham asylum
:)
I don’t like Mad Hatter being all Mystique and stuff. Hatter uses hypnosis, not illusions.
Ruston Henry yeah that’s my fault, the original script had a very minor villain named Cornelius stirk, who is a cannibal shapeshifter. I had read though that mad hatter was the intended 3rd villain with Martin short or Rowan Atkinson considered to play him. So I tried to swap the two characters with limited changes, essentially just switching shape shifting for hypnotic illusions. I think it works some places but not others, like his last scene in Arkham transforming into robin, that bugged me as we were doing it because I figured his illusions came from his hats, which he wouldn’t have in Arkham, but again, I didn’t want to rewrite the whole script. I just tried to use what was already written.
And prey tell what does illusion's sound like lol
@Devin O'Brien I think man bat and Mad hatter would be villains in batman 6.
