      @@jacobpettes335 Actually, where we may have a longer AVERAGE lifespan today, our ancestors typically lived just as long or longer with much healthier, stronger bodied lives. If you remove death takin place in childhood/teens, ancients typically outlived us. We are just WAY more successful at surviving childhood than those who came before us. Ancient Greeks, if they made it to 16 they could expect to live to 80-85. So, mmmeeerrrrhhhh, myth busted.

Just because we get along great at work doesn't make us besties. Added twice the ducttape therefore the plane is twice the weight and could possibly not even get off the ground? What? That's a blatant lie for some fake drama right there. They added 5lbs of weight to the plane, that's the difference of the pilot being a little heftier or taking a bag with stuff along the ride.

    • @munrowrouge18
      @munrowrouge18 3 місяці тому +11

      I see your point, and I think it's mostly for drama. But on the other hand doubbeling the weight on the wing tips and control surfaces could (I'm no expert) over strain the guide wires and internal metal structure leading to breaking

    • @Pigness7

      "we've more than doubled the weight of the aircraft" Tory that's not how that works.

    • @hunterbowie8132
      @hunterbowie8132 Місяць тому +2

      Yeah really the only legit concern here as someone who has flown aircraft would be a change in the center of gravity of the aircraft. Aircraft are designed so that that center is around where the wings are. Extra weight say on the tail of the aircraft could make it significantly harder to control because it would force the pilot to continuously have to push the nose down with the elevator to compensate. However you'd probably need something in the order of 20 or 30lbs to start making a difference. Even on an ultralight like this aircraft.

    What's the craziest thing you tried to fix with duct tape?Once I tried to fix a five inch hole in a dune buggy's tire with duct tape ten miles into the sand dunes. What about you?
    If you're wondering, the duct tape tire worked at best around ten minutes. Which is still impressive and far more than what I'd expected. No, in the end, we did manage to drive the dune buggy the fifteen miles to our cars. However, it took forever. No, you try keeping sand off duct tape in the middle of a sand dune that's parked next to the Pacific ocean. True, while my patch had lasted ten minutes once, most of the time, it came off only a couple of seconds in. 😅

    Excavator into truck. In the 90's, I was working for a demolition company. That is how I used to load our 4 ton digger onto our truck because the ramps were often in use elsewhere. We had 1 ton diggers that we loaded the same way onto our smaller trucks.

      Their over the top OMG we are fixing a plane with tape this could be bad and terrible, yes there could be issues but its not where near as touch and go as they make out. They know how well it works and how strong so its not too far to think it wouldn't be a huge issue. Just the segments seemed overly dramatic.
