Eddie clearly was not bothered at all by the gory violence. He relished it just like the Chuck. Eddie probably would have laughed at the suffocation scene in part 2 and the garbage man's death in part 3.

Chucky's flashbacks are so much better than Freddy's from Freddy's Dead.
And, let’s not forget about Mindy Kaling’s Velma’s flashback, which should’ve been revealed at the season finale to show how much of a monster she was to her mom instead of the writers contradicting why Diya just wanted to run away from the little hellspawn!

I agree.
They leaned on this type of backstory to explain why Chucky suddenly has a sweet spot for wanting kids to be like him.
I don't particularly like it as it fools people into believing that Chucky has always been weirdly passionate about children.
It would also make his fate of becoming a killer doll feel like an entirely great coincidence.
Instead of making this Chucky's hidden passion in life, why not just give that thanks to the seed of chucky.
We seen him become proud over Glen/Glenda's ascension. It's not surprising to think Chucky could feel the same way for other non biological people. You could explain how the feeling he got from that experience inspired him to do more with people. To try conversion or corruption therapy with them. You could also just pin it to the fact he has a taste for soul copying now and with that comes a mentality of wanting people to be like him.
I know it's not, but that young Charles sorta looks like Cameron Boyce. Have a better day everyone.

This is off topic but there’s this great book that exists about Captain Hook and Peter Pan - and in this story Captain Hook was Peters first lost boy, and Peter is a psychopath. Captain Hook is the good guy that gets away.
Chucky doesn't kill his own kind. His own kind being people who like him even after they find out he's a killer, people who show promise in becoming a killer and people who don't fear being killed by him as their sadistic too like Tiffany. People after his own heart basically.
