Here at Shen Yun, we strive to present traditional Chinese culture as it once was: a study in grace, wisdom, and the virtues distilled from the five millennia of Chinese civilization.

Why did they decide to include "BEFORE COMMUNISM" in their ads and posters? I can't tell if they're taking a cheap shot at the government of mainland China or just pandering to Chinese-born customers now living in the west?
Either way, they certainly did not reference communism when promoting the show in previous years.
It's always been that way. I recommend you search up Shen Yu in the wiki cause it'll clear up some stuff.
I’ve been to China and they are lying about China not having places that perform ancient Chinese dances and culture.

Fully agree that without truth and a real and continuous commitment for finding the truth (not just guarding it), nothing significant can be achieved. Compassion and all the rest comes should only complement the effort of looking for the truth and continuously improving our knowledge of the outer world and inner world.

China and Russia never really tried the parliamentary system in order to conclude it is not for them. Most Europeans did taste all the possible kinds of regimes so their current choice is at least studied.
Traditional Chinese performances are often slightly embellished, but largely consist of appropriating minority cultures. Such shows, which steal from the traditions of other nations, should be discontinued.

Just saw this show and I must say it was truly a beautiful experience. My family and I were amazed by the intricate dances and how well the stories were told throughout the entire show. It truly gives you a glimpse of ancient Chinese culture and a glimpse of the world that once was. I recommend everyone to experience this amazing show.
