Finally bit the bullet and bought a pair for my Birthday in March. They're gonna be sitting in closet for a few weeks due to quarantine and NYC weather.
Thanks Mark. Great video. Sizing wise: I typically wear PS's sneakers 8UK/42EU; I understand the CP are problematic in sizing. Which size would you recommend based on your experience?
Thanks for the kind words! I’m usually a 9 US in sneakers and 8US in dress shoes and I followed the 8US size, which is 41. Worked out for me. So for you probably a 8uk seems like it would be the right fit.
Great question - I generally don't wear them consecutive days (rotate them in 3 days a week or so) and I don't always put shoe trees in them, but I'm sure that helps as well.
is that a pagani design daytona watch? I bought one and it is junk, a shame as it looks OK but it is poorly made. As for the shoes, I bought a pair in vintage white, look forward to them.
CP is a $200 shoe with a $200+ mark-up, and the leather is not even that good. There are tons of good alternatives in the $150 to $300 range, e.g. Koio, Scarosso, Oliver Cabell, Svensson, Aurelien, Beckette Simonon, etc. I have at least 1 pair from each of these brands, and can speak from personal experience that from silhouette, leather quality to construction they are good alternatives to CP
I honestly don't really think you know what you're talking about with regards to leather quality. If Common Projects leather "isn't even that good", then the leather quality of all those brands you mentioned must be pretty bottom shelf. I will agree that Common Projects are not worth the $400 price tag. That being said, you can easily find Common Projects for $250 or less with some patience, and at that price point, CPs blow all of those alternatives out of the water in terms of quality, longevity, and especially looks.

True to size? Big? Small?
Any suggestions on what to apply to the sole / heel to prevent quick foot drag?
May I ask what is your size? I usually wear 42.5 to 43, but I don't know which to buy 42 or 43.
