As a Flames fan I used to loathe the Canucks. My hatred towards them was only a notch or two down from my hatred for the Coilers. All that said, I’d love to see this Canucks team win the Cup. Not because the took a couple of our best players on our already beleaguered team haha, but because it’s time.
lol true that. Both are incredible players but I’m not sure Markstrom is a playoff goalie. He’s literally why the Flamers are even in contention for a wildcard spot but he let in some softies vs Dallas and the especially the Coilers when he played those teams a couple years back in the post season. Great video, nice analysis but a little bit surprising that there was no Caucasian member of the panel. They like hockey too and support the Canucks. Diversity is the catchphrase. A First Nations person, a South Asian Indian, an amputee and a female (or at least someone who identifies as a female) would have added credibility to this analysis. I don't think they're so heavily reliant on Hughes now. Sure he's a great player and a key to the team, but that doesn't take away how good our other players are. We would be hindered greatly without our captain, but I wouldn't say that'd we call over and it's an easy win for the other team

Canucks can't beat Philly or Boston. Canucks are mathematically in the playoffs & can possibly advance after the first round but they just don't have the grit, hard forward & back checking, pathetic defenseman like the chaotic giraffe, will not help them win the cup. The only 2 players playing hard every night, gritty and skating fast are Garland & Högelander.

They have experience, not much tho. They have cup winners in Cole, and Blueger and potentially Kessel if he does end up signing with the team. But, I will say, the experience they do have, is some pretty good experience. They took down the Wild in the playin round during the bubble. And then knocked off the defending cup champs in round 1 in 6 games. And then took a very very strong Vegas team to 7. It may not be much experience, but its good experience they do have with this core.
